They took our order quickly. I had an ahi tuna burger with seared tuna. I substituted the wasabi aioli with the garlic aioli. Wow it was flavorful and a great size. Fries were very crispy. My wife had the ahi tuna poke. Portion size was great. She removed the wasabi sauce which made it less flavorful. I think next time she would add back another sauce like the garlic aioli I had. Tonight we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Lilikoi Bar & Grill. We heard their patisserie selections are so popular crowds form before they open every day. We ate dinner the 1st night of our trip, because we have eaten before with good food and service. The staff is very good, friendly and work together to take care everyone. Lilikoi became breakfast place the restof the week. The pull pork Benedict is very good. The meals are good size in filling you up for the day. The pastries are made there. I got the lemon tart. It was our last day on Kauai and we needed to check out of our room by 10:00. With a 21:30 flight, we had a lot of time to kill, so decided to go back to the Harbor mall to find a place to eat. We ended up choosing Lilikoi Bar and Grill on a late Sunday morning. The service was OK, with the food being OK. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the mall, and was fairly hopping when we stopped in. We got lucky and got assigned a window table. The food as a whole was OK, with tourist prices. The Kalua Pork Sandwich ($20) was served on buttered texas toast and came with deeply battered french fries. The strawberry milk shake ($9) was not good: tasted ice in it which didn't make sense since it was marketed as a MILK shake. The edamame appetizer ($11) was a good beginning and we used that as our base. I got a bowl of the seafood chowder ($16) and it was a generous amount, very thick with plenty of clam and fish pieces, and it tasted good. Service was OK and we paid at the table using our credit card (no credit card surcharge here). read more

I think my favorite loco moco on the island. Very much a no frills diner, fast service, and great food. Located in an outdoor mall surrounded by a bunch of businesses, shops, and bar. Across from here is a beach and outdoor activities, so you can definitely start your day here and explore the surrounding area for the day. read more

Love this place! One of the owners is a former school administrator so they would let us have our Hawaii State Teachers Association fun meetings here. The service is excellent! The food is very tasty with many fragrant and delicious seasonings. My favorite meal here is Curried Cauliflower and Mango Salad, which is vegan and GF. Their dessert spread is quite elaborate.... which I love! I recommend the Lilikoi Cheesecake. A great place to go, and is close to the Royal Sonesta/Marriot Beach Club (walkable distance and fun plaza to check out). read more

First place we are after the long flight into Lihue. Down the street from the Royal Sonesta. The staff greeted us and sat us right away. We got the poke bowl, a couple of burgers and a loco moco. Everyone enjoyed their food. The tuna was so fresh and tasty. Burgers were big and delicious. My loco moco had a delicious gravy. Thinner and darker than I've had and so good with the mushrooms! Great selection of beer and cocktails. They also have baked goods like pastries and cheese cakes. The Ume cheesecake was so good. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Saturday, 8/2/2025 - we stopped by Lilikoi Bar & Grill in the Harbor Mall. Address is 3501 Rice St #2009, Lihue, HI 96766. This restaurant on the 2nd floor. We hostess was very nice and seated us right away. We got to sit by the open window with a nice view to the ocean. We can see people surfing. Upon arrival... Pros 1) restaurant is in a small mall. So when we arrived, we going parking right away. There is a small parking lot here. 2) the hostess and staffs were very nice. 3) water tasted great. No funky or weird taste. They do provide sluces of lemon if you ask for it. 4) we ordered coconut shrimp ($16), Lilikoi Burger ($24), and Kauai Poke Bowl ($19). Coconut shrimp and burger were great. Poke bowl wasn't that good, sadly. We also got the Ube Cheesecake for $11. Tasted great! 5) tables, chairs, utensils, plates, cups were all clean. 6) lots of desserts to choose from. You can see them right when you walk in. 7) bathroom was clean. Two stalls in the women's bathroom. Cons 1) we had to search for a staff to ask for water refill. 2) when server brought us our main meal, they didn't take the empty, dirty plates away or see that our water cups were empty and refill it. 3) Conclusion We like this little spot. Nice staffs. Great view. Lots of other little stores in this mini mall to check out after you eat. Clean restaurant. Good foods. Easy parking (at least for us this time). The service was terrible. Actually there wasn't any service. Hostess sat me. I read the menu and then sat there. No one in the table section of the restaurant other than one other table. No one acknowledged me or came with water or asked if I would like a drink. Hostess saw I was waiting but continued to set up vacant tables. Waitress still never acknowledged me. Waitress delivered cocktails to the other table. I continued to wait. Instead of acknowledging me, and at least bringing me some water she proceeded to take their meal order. I decided to get up and leave. Unacceptable to be ignored when I was one of only two tables occupied. I visit the island regularly. I will never come back to this restaurant again and will only give others my opinion of its service in the future. read more

The ambiance is chic and tropical with partial views of Nawiliwili Bay. The service has always been great when we visit. The servers are friendly and helpful. Great casual open air spot with a second floor view! Seafood chowder - nice thick House-made soup fresh with clams, shrimp, fish and potatoes. Hearty and delicious! 5 stars! Tropical Waldorf Salad - fresh Organic mixed greens tossed with house-made lilikoi dressing, diced tomato, fresh pineapple, macadamia nuts, and blue cheese. We had this twice and the first time was amazing with TONS of Mac nuts and blue cheese and the second time not so much. Still a tasty salad nonetheless. 5 stars. Mango BBQ ribs - Four tasty sweet and sticky moist ribs. Couldn't tell there was any mango, just tasted like plain ol BBQ sauce. Solid dish! 5 stars. Macadamia crusted opakapaka - firm white fish with light lilikoi cream sauce and sauteed carrots, zucchini and broccoli. We subbed mashed potatoes, which turned out to be questionable since they were a tad sour. We had mash another time and they were fine 4.5 stars. We stopped here for dinner because I was craving Loco Moco and this was the closest stop to our hotel that served it. We opted to get the double patty so my husband could also have some, the Cuban sandwich, kids dish and chips and an order of calamari. The kids fish and chips and calamari came first. The fish and chips were flaky, crispy and fresh. The kids portion comes with two large pieces and plenty of crispy fries to munch on. The calamari comes with rings and tentacle pieces and a warm marinara sauce that is nicely flavored. The calamari itself was ok, a bit chewy and stringy in some of them, but not terrible by any means. The main events followed quickly after (food arrives quickly here which is great if you're hungry!) and the portions were large and at the perfect temperature. The Loco Moco double comes with two quarter pounders, two fried eggs and two mounds of white rice all smothered in mushroom gravy topped with fried onions. The fried onions were a nice surprise and added a lot of flavor and needed crunch. The gravy had a good flavor but there was some type of drizzle mixed in that was a bit sweet and off putting that I could have done without. The egg yolk was already busted on one of the eggs but not a deal breaker overall. The hamburger patty was seasoned nicely and had a nice crust on them which worked well even when smothered in gravy. The Cuban sandwich was loaded with mustard and pickles, Kalua pork and ham slices. The ham was smoked lunch meat and not our favorite but without it the sandwich tasted amazing. The pork was juicy and full of flavor and the baguette was the perfect vehicle for the sandwich. Overall a great meal, great service and we grabbed two desserts to go as well (strawberry cheesecake and a Mac nut Kouign Amann). The cheesecake was not very fresh and you could tell by the fresh strawberries mixed into the cake and the one on top but the flavor was still good. The macadamia nut Kouign Amann lacked that sugary crust on the traditional pastry and the Mac nuts did not add much to the flavor or texture although they had been toasted. Unfortunately both desserts I would pass on next time. read more

The food here is delicious. I ate the mahi mahi grilled fish tacos, and they were so good I would definitely come back. The homemade ranch here is to die for, so yummy. If you're wondering, there are kids menus that you can see in person. Our server was very kind and interactive with my 1 year old brother. He checked in on us every now and then and was overall very good at his job. The whole restaurant is open and the view from the seating area is just beautiful! This was our first stop to eat when we arrived at the island. It was Monday afternoon so it was not busy at all. We were seated quickly, and our order taken promptly. Our waiter was nice and made a couple of recommendations to us, so we appreciated it that. I had the paradise heat burger and wife had the crab cakes, she was not too hungry. Both were very delicious, the burger was surprisingly spicy, so i enjoyed it more than i thought i would. Them jalapeños were angry. I do wish the portions were a tad bit larger, my side of fries were gone almost instantly, considering the price tag, i thought there would be more. Looking for a place to enjoy our last (evening) meal before flying back to the frozen north, and we ended up in Lilikoi. What a great find! The service was fantastic, fun/laid back atmosphere, and the food... well, exhibit A - the Loco Moco. My daughter enjoyed the hell out of it; what's not to love? (menu description: "Grilled Wagyu patty over white rice. Topped with a fried egg, beef mushroom gravy, fried onions and green onions.") Do not recommend! My bill was $25.13. I gave my waiter a $10 and a $20. He then asked me if I wanted my change back, which I replied "yes". My change came back as $4 and 0 cents. I asked him where was the change? He told me "We do not have any change" probably a lie. I asked him why did he not tell me up front instead of dropping off my $4 and leaving quickly. He did not have a response but he offered me a 5 dollar bill for the 4 singles, which I took. I then asked to speak to a manager about this and he told me he was the floor manager. I figured he was lying to me again so I just left the check folder empty on the table and walked out of the place to not escalate the situation. He then decided to follow me out of the restaurant asking me for a tip. I told him "I would not give him one because he tried to steal from me". He then tried to argue with me about the service. his service was minimal, I had a water, a black coffee and a Loco Moco with no refills on the drinks, not that it matters after he tried to steal from me. As a side note; I come to Lihue at least 12 times a year on average for work. I would always come to Lillikoi cafe on most trips. Before this incident I had a situation with a very rare chicken wing. They were not very apologetic about it but they fixed the situation so I let it be. I will not be returning and i will share my story to the many people I know who come to Lihue. Just know that trying to advantage of a "tourist" is going to cost you more in sales in the future. read more

This is a simple relaxed place to eat that is an easy 5-10 minute walk across from the Marriott Kauai Beach Club villas and Royal Sonesta hotel. The menu is diverse enough for everyone to enjoy.
