    Carne asada taco salad
    K N.

Stopped in after a long day hiking and a recommendation from a friend. The taco spot is located on the side of the road with several picnic tables for outdoor seating. I ordered the carne asada taco salad and my friend ordered chips and a bean and cheese burrito. The salad was fresh I only wished there was more meat. The salad was $17.50 and I left still feeling hungry. The bean and cheese burrito was simple and the chips and salsa would've have been better if they served the salsa on the side. The scoop of salsa instantly made a $6 plate of chips soggy. The food felt a little overpriced but it did the trick after a long day out.

We had the fish and shrimp tacos with chips and salsa. The tacos were dressed in pico and a cabbage onion mix. For the fish taco, the seasoning was light. It was grilled white fish and a little over cooked. The shrimp tacos were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The chips tasted fresh and were super crunchy. The pico was basic but did the trick. It was a pleasant stop while driving back to Lihue so I can't complain. The guys were nice and friendly. I'd stop by again if in the area.

The best food and friendliest service!! Andy is the best! I wanted my taco salad for later and asked him to pack it up for me, everything was so neatly done. Shell still crispy and in tact! Mahalo!

What a pleasant surprise for some New Mexican food! Located next door to our condo, our group flocked to the street-side seating and our San Antonio raised hospitality server pleasantly greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. The cantina was quaint and appropriately decorated and made me feel like I was in the Fort. Next up, happy hour margaritas that were delicious along with chips and salsa. I had the carne asdada enchiladas with red sauce while my better half had the taco salad. Both were delicious and devoured quickly. Next time we're in Kapa'a, we'll definitely grab a bite to eat.

A big huge YUMMMM for these roadside tacos at Pacos Tacos! The coconut shrimp special tacos were perfectly deep Fried shrimp with a great crunch, topped with cabbage and sauce with just the right amount of spice. The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful - add their spicy green sauce!

Visiting from California, happy to find authentic fish tacos that hit the spot. Sauce was really delicious and made for a delicious lunch. Bit of heat but not spicy hot (but they had hot sauce squeeze bottles if you want more). Impressed that their aguas frescas are made in-house, tasted great. Great meal out for our big group. No restrooms, fyi. Excellent spot, so glad we found it!

10/10 the best tacos you will eat. I have dreamed about these for the past 5 years and it was the first place we had lunch as soon as we were back in town. Love pacos tacos more than is probably healthy.

Oh my GOD...TIKI DAVE is so very glad that this place has stood the test of time after all these…read moreyears. My wife and I discovered this place way back before we had kids in, I don't know, what, the mid-2000s... And it is EXACTLY like I remember. We hit Waimea Canyon and then had just enough time to hit SHRIMP STATION after which I demanded we hit on our way back to our cruise ship. I think I ordered the "Sweet Chile Garlic Shrimp" last time but I decided to try the half and half of that as well as the "Got Garlic". Let me tell you, the winner is absolutely the "Sweet Chile Garlic Shrimp"! Both are awesome and don't be afraid of the chile because it really isn't spicy. The shrimp is cooked absolutely perfectly. A great crunch...al dente, if you will. Sop up the delicious sauce in the rice and OMG...I am still craving this a month later. Dishes range in price from $16.95 to $19.95 (probably $10 back when in the day in the early 2000s) but still totally worth it. SON OF TIKI DAVE ordered the Coconut Shrimp and it was amazing, too. I tried it. TIKI DAVE of TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS / TIKI DAVE TRAVEL loves SHRIMP STATION! I will be making a video of my experience so... Wow. What a gem of a place we spontaneously stumbled into. We must have arrived at a great (and…read morelucky) time because there was only one person ahead of us, and we got our food relatively fast. We ordered the beer battered shrimp, garlic shrimp, and cajun shrimp, and all three exceeded expectations. For the price, I was genuinely shocked by the quantity given. I came in expecting to order more, but it was very plentiful and well-priced. My only feedback is that I wished the cajun shrimp had a bit more of a kick. The extra heat was there, but I found myself wanting just a little more. Medium spice would have probably been my sweet spot. No notes on the garlic shrimp though, as it delivered exactly as described. That garlic and olive oil combination? Yum. The beer battered shrimp, however, was surprisingly good. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It was simple, yet perfect. Think Long John Silver's fried shrimp, but better, done right, and insanely good. Here's a fun fact: we actually only ordered two plates the first time, loved it so much that we went back and ordered another. Yes, it was that good. As I'm typing this review back at home, I'm already salivating thinking about going back for another bite. Overall, this place was phenomenal and we'd return in a heartbeat. I'm aware it tends to get busy, and we definitely got lucky with our timing. Note: the food is great, but I personally wouldn't wait in a long line for it. That said, if there are only one or two people ahead of you, absolutely swing by. And beyond the food, the staff, from the cashier to everyone in the back, were a total delight and made the whole experience feel warm and homey.
