    Steak burrito

Wanted to give an updated review since I didn't have the best experience last time I visited. Sometimes this location has really skimped on their portioning but this time they did good! I got a good amount of rice and protein and everything tasted great as usual. It's always super busy here but they keep the line moving well!

This was our first time eating here and we were pleasantly surprised. You stand in line and view menus, which were very self explanatory, same concept as Chipotles but by far better selections as far as toppings, proteins and veggies, and their queso is delicious! We both got the brisket queso burrito that was generously tight as a tick and d. I only ate 1/4 of mine. Will definitely be back to try their bowls and other options.

As a 1st time customer, through a referral. I decided to try this place out. My experience was not good. I went at lunch time, not knowing how busy they are. With that being said, I went in with three different orders to be placed. Once again this was my 1st time here. When placing my order I wasn't met with any smiling faces. I was met as if I was cattle getting rustled . I told them that it was my 1st time, but no empathy was shown. I was rushed and felted as if I was a inconvenience to the people working the line. I showed them the orders that my Co workers requested. All the orders were missing something. I felt completely stupid and felt that I wasted $37.00 . The portions were small in the steak bowl. I would recommend that if you have a customer who tells you that it's their first time at your establishment, that you all be kind and not rush them and make them feel like they're a problem.

I had received so many recommendations to try Cabo Bob's--and they were not wrong. The food was good, and I loved the option to build your own burrito or choose from one of the combinations listed on the wall. What's really neat about this place is that you can simply point to what you want instead of yelling over the line. It makes it much easier to see and understand all the available options. Although there was a long line on a Saturday, it moved fairly quickly. The restaurant was a bit busy, so we decided to eat outside in the side seating area. Overall, the place was nice and welcoming--great for everyone. Many groups of people were there.

Another pick for our celebratory week at work! I got steak and brown rice with pico. It was pick up and we ate at work. Great healthy choice for me.

Went here for a quick lunch after visiting the Austin Aquiurum with a friend and two little babies. The line goes by super fast, and I love how their tortillas are made fresh to order right in front of you. I got the chicken bowl with their Baja bean and cilantro crema sauce. Everything was so flavorful and so fresh. It's like an elevated version of Chipotle with better options and far more flavorful ingredients. I will for sure go back to try more menu items.

The line's pretty long but goes fast so that's good. The fish tacos were pretty good except the mangoes were a little tasteless. Not sweet, not sour, simply no taste. The rice in the burrito was too overpowering, too much and also bit too al dente for my liking.

burrito making skills? 12/10! after 3 years in austin, i finally made it to the infamous cabo bobs. there was a full line, but it moved pretty quickly! i did not know they made their tortillas in house so that was super cool! i normally never get burritos and go straight for a rice bowl but i was told I must give the burritos a chance. i got pork and added almost every topping/condiment they offered. I was betting that my tortilla was going to break when they wrapped it all together but to my surprise, they wrapped my XXL burrito up easily. Now lets talk about taste, the pork was tender and juicy, sauces were flavorful and unique. I liked the ranch and hot sauce. All i can say is, I get the hype now. Chipotle is NOTHING compared to cabo bobs. if you're wanting good portion sizes and cheap food, give cabo bobs a try

Fried fish burrito (smoky cheddar and cilantro tomatillo tortilla)

I've heard so many good things about Cabo Bob's and I was so excited to finally try it. And my expectations were more than met. I love that you can choose what flavor tortilla you want and it's literally made right in front of your eyes. You can even choose more than one flavor and they'll combine it for you. Everyone's always told me to get the fried fish, which I did. It was delicious day of, but then if you have leftovers, I feel like it doesn't save as well so the fish does get a bit on the dry side. If you're planning to have leftovers, maybe pick another meat. You can customize whatever ingredients you want inside and they do not skimp at all, these burritos are huge. I was able to get two very filling meals out of one burrito. The chips and queso are also so good. And they actually give enough queso for you to dip all your chips generously with. Not to mention, it's actually pretty cheap here. Especially when you compare it to like chipotle and especially if you can get more than one meal out of it.

And don't come expecting cheese or sour cream -- the only add‑ons here are cilantro, onions, salsa, and guacamole. It's a stripped‑down menu, and they stick to it. The tacos are solid. The beef isn't anything remarkable, but the chicken is tender, moist, and genuinely flavorful. The quesadilla is the sleeper hit; the baked cheese gives it a deep, savory punch that outshines the tacos. And if you're hungry or just want the best value, the burritos are enormous -- stuffed right up to the tortilla's structural limit. For our entrées, we had Brian's Alambre Plate, the Chicken Mole, and the Line Cook's Snack Plate. Brian's Alambre Plate combines sirloin, pork pastor, house-made chorizo, and bacon with peppers, onions, and melted Jack cheese. It was good and certainly offers plenty of variety and flavor. For my personal taste, though, if I am primarily craving meat, I prefer Eldorado's Carne Guisada. There is nothing wrong with the Alambre, I just think the Carne Guisada is the stronger choice for me. The Chicken Mole is my wife's favorite, and unfortunately it is only offered as a special late on Thursdays. The house-made mole has a rich, distinctive flavor that works very well with the chicken, and it is easy to understand why she looks forward to it. The Line Cook's Snack Plate was also a great combination with two flautas, a choice of Chicken Caldo or Texas Red, Eldorado rice, and guacamole salad. It is a nice option when you want a little bit of several things rather than one large entrée. Overall, another very enjoyable meal at Eldorado Cafe. Overall, I loved the steak and was impressed with the quality of the food! A couple of things could be improved, though. Some of the light fixtures hang way too low, so if you're tall, be careful! Also, the back-of-house area spilling into the restaurant space feels a little odd and takes away from the overall atmosphere.

Somehow I'd never been despite living so close, so I was excited to finally check it off my list. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and their famous foyer is just as pretty in person as everyone says. I came with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar first while waiting, but I definitely recommend making reservations because this place is BUSY, even on a weeknight. Parking can also be a bit of a struggle since they have a pretty small lot. I had to make a few laps before I finally found a spot, so definitely give yourself a little extra time. They do offer valet, and I believe you may also be able to park in the lot next door after hours since it's their sister restaurant, but don't quote me on that haha. Their margaritas are also really good and definitely on the stronger side, so they were a great way to start the meal. The staff here was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. They even walked us to our table and later showed me where the bathroom was, which I thought was a really nice touch. As for the food, it definitely lives up to the hype. It's on the pricier side, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and was well worth it. We ordered the enchiladas, which were delicious, and the shrimp was probably my favorite part of the meal because it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I can definitely see why this restaurant has been around for so long and has such a loyal following. It took me way too long to finally come here, but I'll definitely be back. One thing I'm noticing as we do these is that you often write reviews that are genuinely useful--not just "food good/bad." You include things like reservations, parking, what to order, or where to sit. I think we should keep leaning into that because it feels very authentic to your style and makes your reviews stand out.
