    Burrito Gigante
    Katie J.

This has been one of my parent's favorite go to spots! My dad specifically requested coming here for Father's Day for the burrito gigante with carne asada. It's a massive burrito that typically feeds me and my mom for two meals, that my dad prides himself in finishing in one sitting. The burritos are flavorful with a good balance of meat, sour cream, and guacamole. Unlimited chips and salsa at the table. Service was friendly and attentive. We got there early before 11am on a Sunday, and there were a few other parties seated. By the time we left around noon, the place was getting pretty busy!

    Combo Fajitas

I got the combo fajitas (steak and chicken) and was so disappointed. The fajitas were swimming in oil and there was hardly any meat. The Mexican rice tasted a little sour, and everything tasted so bland including the charro beans. The service was decent. Though the food, absolutely terrible.

My fam and I were looking to new place for Taco Tuesday and decided upon this one. We were greeted and felt very welcomed upon arrival. The menu was your normal Mexican selection. The wall is in orange and the decor was very unique! We ended up ordering 3 crispy tacos with chicken and 3 soft street tacos with chicken, fish, shrimp. They do bring our chips and salsa complimentary which helped while waiting for our food. After a good 15 mins way, our food came. The crispy tacos were crunchy but bland, they were just meh. The soft street tacos were a little more flavorful but no crunch, just plain Jane, and not to mention small. I can't finish each taco with 2 small bites. They do have a nice bar with lots of TV's and an interesting fireball buddy system shots where you take shots with your buddy - up to 5 shots for $20. Say what? Not a deal but too bad I don't take shots like that anymore lol. Overall, the service was amazing but the food is meh. Hard pass.

As regulars, we find ourselves sitting in the cantina at Cabo Cantina all the time, and it's always a great experience. The bartenders are fantastic and the service is consistently quick, which makes it an easy place to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy a meal. Even when the place gets busy, the staff keeps things moving and always takes great care of everyone at the bar. The food is always consistent and has that homemade feel every time we eat there. From their Taco Tuesday menu to their regular dinner menu, everything we've had has been delicious. Some of our favorites are the enchiladas, the hard shell tacos, and the soft street tacos. And the salsa is so good -- it's the kind you keep going back for. It's one of those reliable neighborhood spots where you know you'll get good food, great service, and a fun cantina atmosphere every time.

It's been ages since I've been here, but I met up with friends recently and wanted to write a review. I've always felt the layout feels awkward and they've fixed that issue by putting a host station right where you walk in from the parking lot, not the door at the street. The menu is much larger than I remembered. I ordered the tostada salad with carnitas and it was plenty of food. The carnitas were flavorful and the lettuce was nice & crisp. My friends both were happy with their orders as well. The service was friendly and everything came out of the kitchen fast. Next time I'm in the area and it's lunch or dinner I'll pop in again.

This is by far is the saddest serving of menudo I've seen in my life. And for the price that was paid it wasn't even that good. Ridiculous. Sorry never coming back here.

I LOVE this place and every time I come to Brea I stop in for great food and drinks. The restaurant is family-owned and has a dedicated parking lot that does get full, but there is always street parking as backup. The chips and salsa...omg, YES!!! I love that they bring two salsas, one hot and one medium, without asking. I ordered the wet chili verde and was not disappointed. I also ordered a skinny margarita, which was, again delicious. It's a casual local restaurant that you will love.

Small corner bar and restaurant. The bar is cozy. The lights were off and the fans were going- it felt good. I had chips, salsa and a shredded chicken burrito. It was decent, with beans and chicken and cheese. The black beans came in a little bowl and they were good. I sat in the bar and Jenn, the bartender provided great service. She checked on me every so often and kept my iced tea full. I will return to try taco Tuesday or a cocktail next time.

Cabo Grill & Cantina is truly a gem in our community! This local, family-run restaurant feels like your neighborhood cheering section the moment you walk through the door. The service and staff are always amazing--warm, welcoming, and they treat you like family. The food is traditional, comforting, and always hits the spot. The Cantina has such a friendly, inviting vibe, it really feels like the kind of place where everybody knows your name. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and even better people--Cabo is the heart of the neighborhood!

He made the reservations online with Nine Social but when he got the confirmation, it said for Macallans so he called and spoke to the manager and we got a table here. Wine list was extensive and since he knew a lot about wine.... I told him to just choose for me. We did a pinot noir to start and then went to a cab. The cab was great! I ended the night with a moscato. I ordered the mango tango and he ordered the wedge. Both delish! The mango tango had that sweet and salty blend perfectly. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. It was really good! Service was excellent! They let you try the wine before you order a glass! They checked on us constantly and were really attentive. The place had an older feel to it and it's quaint. I like the coziness of it. They had live music going on and Tom the pianist did a great job! He sang to me when Tom was playing. Super sweet! Tom came over to introduce himself and told us about music nights and there will be singers there. We love this place so much we stayed until closing time. We were the last ones to leave! We were already talking about coming back for when the singers will be there. Our first time here... And definitely won't be our last!

Nine Social is a cozy wine bar located on the far west end of Birch Street in downtown Brea, right…read morenext to Macallans. There is a free parking garage right across the street. Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

For me this is a perfect spot to have a beer while I charge my car at the supercharger. The ambience is that of a pub so a darker feel and the wooden decor. They have a large bar area that you can sit or the tables. They offer a wide variety of bourbons and malts. I personally like that they offer Guinness on tap and it's always perfect. They have a lot of Hardy British food such as fish and chips and shepherds pie. My boyfriend has gotten to Shepherd pie in the past and it was good just a little bit different than we expected. The pastry was crispy and the sauce was creamier. The fish and chips were delicious. They tend to have different types of entertainments throughout the week. I'm not sure of what day is what but I have seen a magician going around the tables and entertaining families or just groups of friends. I know one night is karaoke night another night they have live music and I am not sure what other types of entertainment they offer. This is a very casual restaurant to come enjoy a good time. I also came here for a few of the World Cup matches and it was a lot of fun! Based on their food, ambience, friendliness and variety of alcohol and drinks that they offer I would say that this is my favourite bar to come by myself and I feel comfortable.

Definitely a place you can come watch sports or hang out with big groups. My husband and I came in on a weekday, a little before 8 for dinner. There were probably 5-7 parties throughout the restaurant and 2 people at the bar. No host at the front. Servers working at bar and a server walking around. No acknowledgment from staff or even a glance our direction. We decided to wait a few more minutes, if no one helps us we will leave. A few minutes later, a server quickly walks from the back. He grabs menus and takes us to a table. I liked that the booth was huge for just the 2 of us. I didn't like that the restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated by the bathroom and in front of the kitchen. Our server was Bryce and he was nice. We ordered: Steak fajitas - read a lot of reviews about this and it was just okay. I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's definitely a serving for 1. The steak was tough, but the veggies had flavor and cooked perfectly. The tortilla was also good. I ended up eating the veggies with the tortilla without the steak. It comes with small ramekins of sour cream, guacamole & the black bean salsa - which was more like a purée. Deviled eggs - so, I love deviled eggs. If it's on the menu at any restaurant, I always order them. These were very runny. The flavor was good, but the texture of the yolk was like baby food. I wouldn't order again. Grilled cheese & soup - this was good. Very cheesy. I thought the glasses for the drinks were cute. I drank about 1/2 my coke and noticed the glass was dirty with specs of food, both inside the glass and outside. My cloth napkin also had stains. We are local, so if our friends wanted to come back, we might try it again, but this would not be my first choice.
