I came for some tacos but I saw they had a new blue fin tuna aguachile on their menu so I had to try that out as well. Tacos were all loaded up with meat and fresh guac. They were around $4-$5 each. Asada was my fave. Blue Fin Aguachile was around $18. It was fireee, super fresh tuna and avocado, had some chiltepin on top + the aguachile that gave it a lil kick but it wasnt spicy. 9.5/10 in my opinion. Horchata was more cinamony than what im used to but I actually enjoyed it. Parking was also easy to find nearby & service was great. Chill guy up front. Id come back and eat here again for the aguachile or for the tacos.

    Tacos with carne asada

Nice little spot in downtown Brea. We always have the Mulita & Tacos with carne asada. Flavor is good. Portion sizes are nice too. Restaurant is fairly small so bear that in mind if you have a larger party. Inside is always clean and tidy. Service is good, employees are nice and helpful with explaining the menu.

Checked out Cazuelas Taqueria after hearing about it and was excited to give it a try. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the staff was friendly throughout my visit. I ordered the Jamaica and agua de pepino, which were both refreshing and tasted homemade. For food, I tried the asada, chicken, and chorizo tacos. The asada stood out as my favorite, while the other two were solid options as well. To finish, I had the shrimp cocktail, which I really enjoyed thanks to the fresh shrimp and flavorful sauce. Overall, I had a good experience and would come back

The menu has completely changed. This is not the same place it was before. Please see latest menu photo. Only the name is the same. I still ordered some burritos which were tasty enough but the meat was at one end and the other half was all rice. Same with other burritos we ordered.

New place in town. I love that they make their own tortillas. That just gives the food extra flavor. The service didn't flow that well but it was descent. We tried the 2 guisados combo: chile colorado and chicharrón en salsa roja. Both were delicious and had great flavor. The rice was good but I didn't like the beans. The aguas frescas were delicious. We also tried the burritos and personally it was small and too soft. We went an hr before closing and it was too crowded.

Cazuelas Taqueria has been open for only two weeks and I found them on Yelp the other day. I was sad to see Bread Breakers Deli go but I was also excited to see this new Taqueria open up! There are a lot of Mexican restaurants around but not many that sell this particular style around. As soon as I entered, the man working in the front immediately welcomed me in. He answered every question I had regarding what he recommended and what the best sellers were including the ingredients inside. Here's what I ordered: **Cochinita Pibil Taco: The man recommended this particular meat so I went with it. I loved the tangy flavor from the orange. The meat was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The addition of pickled onions gave it a great balance of flavor. Fresh lime juice plus some salsa gave it the perfect flavor. (5/5) **2 Guisados Combo (Bistec Ranchero Con Papa & Chile Verde): Both of the meats I went with were perfect. The meat was so tender and perfectly prepared. They both had so much flavor and wasn't salty at all. The beans were good and the rice was very light, yet very delicious. The handmade corn tortillas were spectacular. (5/5) **Jamaica: Not my favorite batch of Jamaica but still very refreshing. It was more sweet than tart but it still tasted very authentic. (4/5) The man offered to refill my Jamaica if I wanted to drink some while my food waited for no extra cost which is always nice. I opted to get one red and one green salsa. Both salsas had a nice kick of spice and were both very delicious! Very nice staff and good portions for what you pay. I hope this place stays longer than its predecessor because this place is worth your visit. I 100% recommend Cazuelas Taqueria and will be back again soon to try more!

    Chicken mole taco

Definitely coming back! Got the 5 mini taco sampler and everything was delish. Also got the chicken mole al a carte and was not disappointed. These are not your typical taco. They are handmade from scratch. If you want cheap street tacos, this is not the move. If you've seen the Taco Chronicles on Netflix, guisados are what you're getting here. The meats are slow cooked almost to a stew consistency, and so delicious. They have a butcher shop down the street, so you know all their meats are top notch. The tortillas are made fresh too and hand ground! The guacamole and salsa were delish too!

This is the photo that's up we didn't get salsa or the chiles...

Food didn't really have much flavor. Expected a bigger seating area. I think it's expensive for the serving size of the tacos. Will not be coming back. Tried it and not happy.

Carne asada tacos were soooo good the meat was so soft. It's hard to find asada that isn't dry so glad I found this place! Will definitely be back to try out the other meat options.

    7 guisados plate

Real and I mean Real Mexican food! Guisados is what we eat in Mexican homes. There is a spot off the road on the way to Tonaya Jalisco México going from Guadalajara that I always stop and eat guisados. And this place reminded me of it. Here they can put the guisado that you want in a taco or plate( I recommend in a plate) I had the steak with papas and rajas con queso! Very good! My wife and daughter had the 7 guisados in small tacos and all were a 10! The salsa( for us is chile) was spicy like it's supposed to be! The tortillas were fresh and Hot (burned my hands) and perfect. We will definitely be back!

When we walked in we were greeted with a hello. The worker explained the menu to us and was very helpful considering it was our first time. The restaurant is small but the food is delicious. Not your regular taco spot in Brea. Also the tortillas are made by hand YUMMY!!! I absolutely loved the cute plates the food was served on. The decor was cute the and the music was a nice touch. We will be back

Chips and guacamole & Bistec con papa guisado ( comes with rice and beans and tortillas)
    Jessica G.

You can easily miss this restaurant but it's a hidden gem! I was recommended to try this spot out and I am so glad I did. Ordered the chips and guacamole, bistec con papa guisado and one burrito with birria. Everything we ordered was fresh, and very flavorful! The staff at the register was so friendly and helped me out by making recommendations. Something I would note is it is small inside, limited seating inside and outside. Also, the burritos are small if you are looking for something more filling they do have 3 burritos for $20! I will definitely be returning!!

    Brock L.

I really enjoyed Cazuelas Taqueria! I haven't had guisado style tacos in a very long time, and these hit the spot. I ordered the birria and cochinita pibil, both were packed with flavor! The highlight of the meal for me though were the homemade corn tortillas. These were spot on and some of the better tortillas I have tried. I also ordered a horchata, which was well balanced, not too sweet! The service was quick and friendly, highly recommend this spot!

Two guisados plate with chile Colorado & chicken mole. Delish!

Aware that I'd already consumed a good amount of chips, I ordered their Junior's Plate: choice of 1 item (Shredded Beef Taco), rice & beans ($11) -- good amount of beef; my thoughts, easier (and more elegant) to eat with fork & knife. Hubby enjoyed his order #18 Pork Carnitas ($18). Cocktails: I enjoyed the presentation and taste of my Paloma, $16; hubby thoroughly enjoyed his Farolito, $11, commenting it was good-&-strong and reasonably priced - a win-win! The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos.
