Went for lunch in a Wednesday afternoon. I would rate the food a 4 out of 5. I had the steak and shrimp plate. The proportions were good. The steak was a little Tuff. The wife had a shrimp and avocado salad with ranch dressing. She liked the salad but the dressing was a little different that what she is used to. The biggest complaint is the service. There were only 3 tables being served by one waitress. Took the order, delivered the food and dropped off the check at the end. Had a hard time getting refills on the soda. I would have to rate the service a 1 out of 5.

I have only left about five reviews in my whole entire life and this restaurant was the most disgusting restaurant I have ever tried. I first asked for a burrito with no beans and they gave me beans .. got a new burrito and it had no flavor. No seasoning was super greasy and so so so small. I paid $23 for a breakfast burrito that I probably could've made myself and spent $10 worth of ingredients. I feel so bad because I am not someone who reviews places like this, but do not waste your money or your time coming to this restaurant.

This review is for the DineLA menu for summer 2025. We came by a few days back on a Friday night. Apparently, Friday night are live music nights which was cool. The whole restaurant was full and poppin' the moment we got in. We were seated quickly and near the DJ booth for the night. The service wasn't bad for a busy night. The DineLA menu is $35 per person with one appetizer and one main entree. We ordered the Guacamole and Nachos appetizers. For the main course we ordered the Chicken Fajitas and the Torta Chingona. Once the appetizers came out, all we could say was WOW!. The portions were generous and also we already given complimentary chips and salsa beforehand too. Then came the main course and WOW again!. Everything looked so delicious. The Torta was huge. A hefty and hearty sandwich for sure. It was cheesy and delicious. My wife's chicken fajitas were presented sizzling on a plate and with a side of rice and beans! We had so much food we were already full from the appetizers. We ended up taking the rest home. Overall, a good first visit with a special DineLA menu. I recommended popping in before DineLA ends to give it a try.

I was searching through Yelp and the DineLA website for participating restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley. This promotion is available through August 8, 2025. I did locate and bookmark a few on Yelp. Mi Sabor offers a Prix Fixe menu for lunch ($15), choose a taco or mini burrito combo. This deal includes a soft drink. The dinner menu is $35 for a two-course meal. Choose one Appetizer and Entree: Guacamole with Chips & Salsa, Nachos, Queso Fundido, or Street Corn (my selection). The Entrees are Tacos (Filet Mignon), Fajitas (Steak, Shrimp or Chicken), Torta Chingona (Steak and Chili Relleno), or Shrimp and Fish Al Ajo (my selection). The food was delicious, and a great value for the price. The service was excellent, with several employees checking to see if I needed anything. As a bonus, I came on a Friday evening when a music duet was performing. Per their website, live music is planned every Friday, some customers were dancing and singing along! The decor was beautiful with several art pieces on display. The booths and high-top tables had candles or mini lamps throughout the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will return on a regular basis. They are located on the infamous Route 66, close to the 210 and 57 freeways. There is plenty of free parking in the shared lot. Check them out, sincerely, Rosemary.

Honestly, the food was exceptional and truly reminded me of my grandmother's home cooking. The meat was incredibly tender, and their salsa was absolutely outstanding, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Their staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It was a wonderful dining experience, and we will definitely be back again soon.

I did a review back in 2022 and back then everything was great, the service, food, portions, drinks. I feel like service has been I don't want to say getting worse but I think maybe it's because they don't have enough staff. The wait time is short now compared to before but I've been having to ask for chips and salsa and the waiters take a while to come back to check on you. The food is still tasting amazing but the alcoholic drinks don't have enough alcohol in them. I really love this place and I want to keep supporting them. My running group is due to meet up here next week so I'm hoping for the best.

Clean establishment with beautiful decor. On the smaller side with about 12-14 tables. Has a large bar selection (no bar seating) for the drinker but it took them too long to seat us and take our order because they were too busy making drinks. So docked 1 star for that. Docked a second star because they only checked in on us and provided responsive service when it was time to pay the bill. No offers to refill drinks, no more chips or salsa, no "how's everything." Had a longer conversation with the couple next to us about what we like better about the Upland sister restaurant. We are regulars over there but were in the area so decided to try this place out. Portions larger here than at Pueblita, but no lard in beans and more vegetarian options here. This made my picky eaters happy but I prefer the beans at Pueblita. Queso fundido was very different here. More flavor but smaller portion (less cheese). We usually run out of tortilla at the other place but here this was barely enough for one tortilla. Chips seem homemade but our batch was a little over fried. Salsa was bland and very watery. The Torta was ok. A little bland for my taste and salty from the chile relleno. Best meal we ordered was my son's ham and eggs. Definitely larger portion than Pueblita which made my gigantic 9 yo very happy. Would come back for that plate again. Would I classify the food as authentic? Not really. Flavor here and there, used queso cotija, and some traditional items but more upscale than mom's home cooking. Overall it's a nice place to eat, the food is good, but it's not great. I don't know why Pueblita is better but I think it's the lard. Great place for a date night. Going to come back on a Tuesday for the fish taco because the couple next to us said it is the best. I will give it a try and see how it compares to my favorite Baja fish taco place. Until then, hoping for a bonus check because this place is not cheap for a family of three.

Made a reservation for a Friday night out with friends. The place is well decorated with Grinchmas theme and it is so cute for a photo op. Ordered the fajita trio and it was delicious. They also have a great selection of signature drinks. It's a pretty small resto bar so it fills up quickly as the night goes by. Highly suggested to make a reservation. The entertainment/ live music every Friday night completes a great dining experience.

    Mole plate

We sought out this restaurant specifically for their mole based on a review I read. "Sweet & spicy, reminded them of home cooking". Well...sad to say it missed the mark. The mole was on the watery side, lacking the traditional flavor. It was perhaps their recipe of putting their own twist on the dish, however it was also disappointing that the chicken they used was strips of fajita chicken :/ Wet burrito was decent...would give it a 7/10. On a positive note, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and although I didn't try any cocktails, they seem to offer an extensive variety of their own mixed drinks. I will return one more time to try something else..but I hope management sees this review and gives their mole sauce another look.

Came here after a funeral. The family reserved the entire place. They treated everyone with great kindness, very respectful to the family and guest. The service was very good. Ambiance is nice plenty of parking, inside Resturant is clean and definitely a Mexican touch for sure with a Mexican icon wall. , the food tastes pretty darn good. Definitely will be bk.

Food is authentic and delicious , ambiance is neatly decorated with loteria decor. I had the sopes, they were very tasty, the only thing i would prefer is not having lettuce on my sopes, other than that I'd say delicious. I'd definitely return to try other plates.

You guys do false advertising on your specials!! When I showed them the flyer they didn't know anything about it and I was charged full price this is the first time a server tells me I'm wrong and gets upset just because I tried to explain the flyer

Are there Happy Hour specials and, if so, what days/times?

Do they take reservations? Father's Day?

They might just give them a call

Still, $14 for a burrito and $19 for a chile verde plate is pricey. Is it really worth it?

I'll give my candid answer. I paid $18 for enchiladas con mole for my wife. However, I ordered the Chicken Mole Sabina style. The sauce tasted different from my wife's enchiladas. The chicken was thigh meat. For $18, they should use breast meat. No.

The food looks really good but can anyone tell me why this place is so EXPENSIVE? $18 for a burrito and $22 for chile verde?

It’s less than that, where did you get this pricing, maybe look at their online menu.

Looks are deceiving from the outside. The decor is colorful and vibrant. It has a Ranch style/Western theme. The interior has seating along the windows, an open outdoor patio with tables/umbrellas. A separate banquet room is in the back, easy access from the rear parking lot for your private party. Here you can enjoy sports games on the TVs and drinks from the bar setup in this room. On July 18th, I was going to a picnic and came by to buy the tapas platter. There was beef empanadas in the order, no substitutions allowed, so I ordered ala carte instead. We had a Chicken Quesadilla (with sour cream and salsa), Shrimp Taquitos (with guacamole), and diced potatoes tossed in a mild red sauce and oven roasted Papas Bravado). I'm so glad, I live nearby so I can drop by for more of these Shrimp Taquitos and try other items from the menu. There are three businesses all clustered together, each with a separate entrance, so I ended up accidentally parking in a private doctor's office lot and was told to leave. Eventually, I found the small parking lot with just four or five spaces so if it gets busy, it might be tough. But once I got inside, it was worth it! I entered from the back door, which passes through the restrooms on the left and the kitchen on the right, leading to a cute seating area. It's small but super cozy, with a lovely bar filled with lemons, napkins, and lots of hot sauces at each table: at least seven or eight types! But the real star here is the food. The tacos are absolutely incredible! fresh and full of flavor. I ordered three: carne asada, fish, and shrimp. The fish and shrimp both have the option to be fried or grilled, so I went with fried, and they were fantastic. First and foremost, the restaurant is very clean, well-maintained, and inviting, with colorful decor and salsa music softly playing in the background. The full menu is clearly posted behind the front counter, which makes ordering easy. The young lady who took our order was welcoming and friendly. My wife ordered green chilaquiles, and I ordered huevos à la Mexicana with a large horchata and a diet soda. After we placed our orders, we sat at an empty booth, and almost instantly our waitress approached our table with a basket of hot chips dipped in beans, which I had never tried. These chips were AMAZING, as they were fresh, tasty, and the beans made them the perfect way to start our breakfast. They're not your typical taquitos..the shell is much thinner, almost like an egg roll wrapper, which gave them a different texture that I actually liked. My only thought was the value. The two taquitos were almost $10, and for that price I think adding a third taquito would make the portion feel a little more in line with the rest of the menu. The 3-taco combo was around the same price and included rice, beans, and a drink, so it just felt like the better value. Service was friendly, and there was plenty of outdoor seating, with some indoor seating available as well. Overall, it was a good lunch stop if you're in the area.
