In the heart of the Glendora village, Ramon's Tacos Y Tapas offers a good selection of Mexican food. While it feels like it's mostly appetizers and finger food, it is no surprise given the name. The place has ample outside sitting while the inside is very small. We sat outside as the majority of guests do. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We settled for some fajitas, Baja tacos, guacamole on the side and even had some dessert. Over the all the food was great the service was outstanding. Great place for a little date night. read more

What I love about Ramon's: The cuisine is fresh, flavorful, and comes out piping hot! I highly suggest you try the mole enchiladas (get them with two over medium eggs on top), the chicken tikka street tacos, the tapas platter, and my absolute favorite, Ramon's fajitas! Actually, to be completely honest with my Yelp buddies, it's a toss-up between the chicken mole enchiladas and Ramon's fajitas being my "absolute" favorite, but you have my Dennis W. guarantee they will make your taste buds happier than a puppy slobbering over a new chew toy! I can't say enough about the highly energetic, welcoming, and attentive staff. Ezekiel (Chucky) introduced himself and he's clearly running a tight ship! Hunter prowls the tables, making sure our orders get in promptly, we have plenty of warm chips, and the watermelon margaritas keep flowing. Even without a full liquor license, there are a variety of libations to pair with your meals. It's an absolute delight to enjoy downtown Glendora seated outside on the patio. There are table inside, but sitting outside is way to go and you can bring your doggie. Drive straight to the back parking lot since parking on Glendora Avenue is usually as full as a row of corn on a cob and just as tight. read more

Highly recommend this Mexican nice restaurant found upon walking in downtown Glendora after looking around the neighborhood. I enjoyed the service from this restaurant. I really enjoyed hosting a business lunch here. It was so good that I ended up doing a dinner and came back again. The service was outstanding and we were looked after by Clarissa today and she was super attentive and I have to say the service here is incredible. It really takes me back to how service should be and used to be prior to COVID but so many places don't have good service anymore. The folks who work here genuinely happy to take care of the customer and make accommodations. Great place for a business lunch or dinner or even for the family. Tried a new spot recently due to the Amex app. Food was good. Service was great, very attentive and definitely made sure things were taken care of. We sat outside, which was December. Wear a jacket but overall they had the heaters on and it was comfortable outside. Very quiet on the street, but many shops closed. Had variety of items for which we had recently in Spain. Tapas were good, but sadly nothing like Spain tapas. This being a cross location of Spain and Mexican, we had hoped for the best. Menu notes homemade corn tortillas, but when asked they are first come first served. Odd, so ended up with mediocre store corn tortillas. Steak was good. Cooked to the right temp. I had a deep desire in craving for paella recently after a thorough yelp search I found that this restaurant closest to my home. I ate outside because the weather was very good. The only distraction was young skateboarders flying down the sidewalk in between tables nearest the curb and tables nearest the restaurant, other than that service was good and attentive. The ambience was adequate outdoors. Obviously, the prayer was plentiful. Had it twice once there and what was left over I had the next day it was plenty. The next time I have a unrelenting craving for paella this will probably be the first place. We've passed by this restaurant so many times and finally decided to give it a try on Taco Tuesday--plus it was Cinco de Mayo, so we were excited to check it out. We ordered a variety of tacos and a side of guacamole. The food itself was good but unfortunately everything felt overpriced for what you get. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our drinks didn't arrive until we had already finished eating, and we never received utensils or napkins until we asked. The waitresses were kind, but it seemed like things kept getting forgotten, which took away from the overall experience. We had high hopes, but between the pricing and the service issues, it's not a place we'll be returning to anytime soon. read more

Dinner for two including drinks less than $60.Service was excellent, thank you. Ambiance is cute, clean, set up indoors for parties of two. Dining outside on patio is available, or in hallway. Hands down probably the BEST Mexican food I've ever had! My family and I just bought a house nearby so we love the Glendora Village! Stumbled across this gem and decided to sit on their cozy patio. Service was A++ nice guy, believe his name was Hunter. Very attentive, suggested popular dishes, and the food was quick! My mom and I stopped by Ramon's Tacos y Tapas in Glendora for a late lunch/early dinner after a shopping trip and we're so glad we did! She had the carne asada tacos, I had the fish tacos, and we both really enjoyed our meals. We loved their salsa as well that came with the chips and salsa. We also ordered guac as an app and that was delicious as well. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We sat outside, and the ambience was perfect, relaxing and nicely shaded. There's indoor seating as well, but we loved being out on the patio. After we got home, we noticed we'd accidentally been charged for an extra plate we didn't order. My mom called the next day and they corrected it right away; super professional and helpful! Overall, great food, great service, and a lovely place to unwind. I must tell you all, out of all the Latin eateries in the area, they make the most garlicky and delicious salsa ever! My vegan Esposo has been able to veganize a couple of requests that are not on the menu too, so kudos to them for being flexible. Even though it was rather cool we sat outside, with the heater on it was very pleasant. The server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered 2 Ribeye tacos with onion & cilantro. At first sight I wondered 2 corn tortillas with a flat piece of meat on top. I put the sauce, onions and cilantro folded it and took a bite, oh that's good. The meat was tender with just the amount of sauce, onions and cilantro. Looked plain but tasted wonderful. I also had a refreshing small house salad. My wife had one of the best tasting Chile Rellenos I've ever tasted with battered and fried pepper with jack cheese, ranchera sauce and cotija cheese. She also had a nicely flavored Chicken tinga (shredded chicken simmered in a smoky, spicy tomato and chipotle sauce) enchilada covered in a nice green sauce. Lovely new eatery to Downtown Glendora and a breath of fresh air for our community. We came yesterday (Saturday) for the grand opening, but since we were starving and couldn't wait long, we ended up leaving and going to Kara's. And of course, because of the grand opening day, it was bustling and hectic. And you can see the visual stress on the employees. Came back today (Sunday) and beat the early dinner crowd, and we were seated inside almost immediately. Service was prompt and very kind. Loved the purse hooks under the tables for inside seating. And I chose inside seating to avoid mosquitoes having me for dinner outside. The decor was nice, and we got to hear the kitchen activities and smell all the delicious smells. Unfortunately, empanadas and paella were not available yet on the menu, but we made some delicious alternative choices. The garlic shrimp tapas was the most stand-out dish for me. Also ordered, Steamed Clams, Garbanzo y Tomate, Choripan. The churro was delicious, but it was definitely a serving for one person. It is one churro cut into bite-sized pieces with chocolate dipping sauce. Tapas is small plates and meant to be shared, but I do hope they'll get the portion ingredients to match the prices. Our waiter kept our water glasses full, and employees checked on us often. And I must stay we noticed a huge staff. No employee shortage here! After an energetic climb on our bicycles up Glendora Mountain Road, we were ready for lunch in lovely downtown Glendora. We stumbled on Ramón's Tacos Y Tapas, and were very satisfied. Our appetizer of taquitos was nicely presented and extremely tasty, with fresh guacamole on the side. Our main was the Paella de Moricos for two. Loaded with seafood (shrimp, clams, and unconventionally, salmon), with great rice and excellent flavor. We left happy! I want to highlight the extremely friendly, fast, and helpful staff that brought us the menus, drinks, chips, and meal. They couldn't have been more welcoming. Nice job! read more

Tried this for the first time today. I had the chicken enchiladas my wife ordered the salmon. Both dishes were delicious! Disappointed that I was long since finished with the enchiladas before my wife got her salmon. A table should have all diners served at the same time. They were very apologetic. Been eagerly awaiting the opening of Ramon's since Domenico's Jr. closed their Glendora location, which we sadly miss. We didn't go right away as I wanted to make sure they got their first week bumbles out of the way. That is, if they had any. The good news is that I couldn't see any major or minor reasons to not give them a 5. Service was quick and friendly and we were offered indoor or outdoor seating as the indoor space is small - similar as before with Domenico's but it looks like a few more tables inside if that's your preference. We sat outside on their reserved patio area - a left over benefit of Covid-era downtown outside dining. We started with Chips and Salsa which didn't disappoint. The chips were warm - my only critique would be they could be a littler warmer if you're going to warm them up anyway. The salsa was really good. Not your standard table fare but instead their own recipe which was unlike salsas I've had. It was a bit roasted, a bit sweet, a bit spicy. I could go hotter but think it's a great table salsa. My son and I both enjoyed the street tacos - a plate of 4, traditionally served on corn tortillas and just the right toppings. The carnitas was the big winner. It melted in your mouth and the onions were the perfect addition. The chicken was surprisingly good and different than what I'm used to. The carne asade could have used a little more seasoning but was still great. Considering the location, atmosphere, service, and price, I give them a 5 and I'm excited to go back one evening with my wife to try their tapas! read more

Food and service excellent! We enjoyed sitting outside during a warm February evening.

My husband, so and I stopped by on Mother's Day afternoon for our first visit. The restaurant is small inside and quaint however, they have seating out front as well as in the back in a corridor. As you can imagine it being Mother's Day, it was a little crowded out front, but we were quickly offered a seat inside or in the corridor. We opted to sit in the corridor, which was nice and quiet and we definitely still received attentive service. As soon as we sat down, warm chips and salsa were served. The warm chips were thinner and lighter than usual but still held up when scooping the salsa which by the way was very tasty. My husband had the flight of margaritas, which were all very tasty and a nice serving size. My husband was intrigued by the fundido as it came with handmade tortillas. The queso fundido had nice chunks of chorizo and the cheese had a good consistency that lent its self well to be scooped with the tortillas. The tortillas had a different texture than we are accustomed to however they still had that delicious handmade taste. We also ordered the mole enchiladas with beans instead of rice. I am a big critic when it comes to beans and these passed my test as I could tell they were homemade and not from a can. The enchiladas were generously filled with chicken, which packed a lot of flavor and was very moist. The molé itself was a little sweeter than I would prefer however, it had a very robust flavor and a nice kick at the end and I still considered it a very good molé. We ordered our son grilled chicken and french fries. The fries were crispy and thin like my son prefers. The chicken was tender and juicy however it needed a little seasoning. We ended our meal with the churros with chocolate sauce, which to our surprise also came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and magic chocolate shell. We love churros and these definitely did not disappoint. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal, the service, and the setting, and definitely plan on returning to try more dishes . read more

Had dessert here because we were craving churros. We actually ordered a trio of dessert. We got the Ramon-IE which is a fresh baked brownie and came out freshly baked, Churros Y Chocolate (w/ warm chocolate sauce!) and Helado ( brown sugar ice cream!). All three hit the spot! We sat in the hallway to the back parking lot. It was a quieter area were people can do some reading or study. Our service worker was kind enough to take our order to us. This was our first time in Downtown Glendora. Definitely won't be the last. Next time, we will try more items in their menu. read more
