Even the restroom gets the full coastal treatment!

Not sure how Glendora does it, but the self proclaimed "Pride of the Foothills" may soon need to rechristen itself as the "Pride of the FOODIES" 'cause this city packs more powerful, multicultural foodie wallop per square mile than any city within thirty miles! Care to debate me, your Favorite Yelp Correspondent?! Sheeeeeeeeeiiit. There's the "as seen on TV" West Coast Cheesesteaks for hoagie lovers, Miyako Sushi for sushi enthusiasts, Abu Omar Mediterranean- the first trio are housed within the Glendora Plaza anchored by Stater Bros. Trek one mile west on Route 66 and you'll run into The Donut Man, splendid for post-meal desserts, and the site of last night's decadent meal, CABO TACOS. I was out Door Dashing when my youngest called, decrying how he'd rather not eat leftover spaghetti for dinner. Seizing on our shared hankering for tacos, I went about finding a nearby taco proprietor offering a "Taco Tuesday" promo. As it was already 7:40pm, most places had already shuttered for the day or were about to close, at 8pm. [Unsolicited Pro Tip- Never order from a restaurant within 30m of closing time. Not only is it inconsiderate but you run a small risk of having your food wiped with distinctly unsanitary objects!] I happily stumbled across Cabo Tacos, a small, family run establishment across from Baskin Robbins and 100 yards west of The Donut Man on Route 66. I ordered ten carne asada tacos, a quintet for each of us. As you can see from the attached photos, the family has gone to great lengths to style their restaurant in the maritime blues and seashell creams of the ocean. ...even their restroom is outfitted in littoral hues! Pro Tip- Don't dodge Cabo Tacos, whose specialties include fish tacos and ceviche, just because you're seeking asada!! These tacos were a very pleasant revelation!! Copious, generous portions of well-seasoned meat, minced cabbage, onions, cilantro and even tomatoes. Our bill, for ten well-portioned tacos, salsa and taxes, was $22.48. My youngest son, who at 21yrs old is just beginning to emerge from his teenaged tendency to withhold words, even texted me "Daddy don't be skimpy in your review. This place was fire!" His father enthusiastically agrees. We're pleased, overjoyed even, to add Cabo Tacos to our rotation of fave local restaurants we patronize. You should, too.

Parking can be a bit of a pain, but it's absolutely worth dealing with for the food at Cabo Tacos. I haven't had a single dish here that I didn't love. Their fish and shrimp tacos are the best. The ceviche is also very good. The service is always friendly, and the place stays impressively clean.

This is me. The 30 yr old lady Johana saw was rude to the other old lady while being the rudest cashier ever. So petty!

this is a picture of myself. Yelp is a platform for the customer to review a business without retaliation, but in this case, you can tell they are using someone affiliated with this business. if you see the recent reviews, different customers complained about the behavior of the "lady," that she's so rude and entitled. they food Is great, but the customer service is degrading to the point of not wanting to be a customer after +10 years of consuming at this business, that is insane! But instead of taking accountability, this lady has someone affiliated with her and posting my picture and retaliating. I feel harassed and do not feel safe anymore posting reviews for other customers, now I feel unsafe due to this establishment posting my picture using an affiliate of them. I already reported this and the false allegations. LADY! Just take accountability for your service instead of blaming your customers for your poor customer service. Even, the owner took accountability, stop using other people to make false allegations for you. Everything I said was the truth, and even the next day during lunch at work we ordered food from your business because we love the food but dislike the service. And again, got the order wrong, eventhough they told this lady that they thought this lady got the order wrong and she said no, that it was right and again she got it all wrong. Accountability! Come on! yeah, this is retaliation from this lady and I do not consent anyone to use my image and pictures.

Used to be good but times are rough it seems Grilled fish tacos are 90% cabbage and sauce now with crumbled pieces of fish.

Fish tacos never disappoint! The salsa is tasty and has a little kick! The best part is the chilis that come with. Cute boat life feels ambiance. Friendly fast service.

Ask the Community - Cabo Tacos

What type of fish are the fish tacos?

Do they put lard in their beans and chicken stock in their rice? Do they have vegetarian-friendly options?

They will be using the lest expensive bulk beans that they can find so it will have lard. They classify "vegetarian" meals as vegetarian rather than vegan so that is a clue. They prepare all of their foods using the same cooking surfaces so not vegan

It's been on my dine at list for a while now. It's located at the Route 66 Promenade shopping center on Foothill Blvd and Lone Hill Ave in Glendora. Finding parking was easy. They weren't super busy. I was greeted upon entry. Got seated right away. Ambiance was quaint and romantic with lovely art on the wall. I only wanted tacos so went straight to the Taco Tuesday section of the menu. Btw, colorful menu with good selections. Three tacos for $6.99. Fish tacos baja-style was $3.99 each. I was down for all of them. Got a set of three tacos... one carnitas, one shredded chicken, and one grilled veggies plus 3 fish tacos. Yes, it was 6 pack for me. Lady staff was friendly, nice, and hospitable. Thank you ladies! All tacos were DELICIOUSLY AMAZING! Carnitas were flavorful. Shredded chicken was plentiful. Grilled veggies had great crunch... carrots were amazing! One small gripe, they were tiny tacos... wished they were bigger. Side of salsa for the tacos was perfect in taste... wished it was a full cup and not half. As for the fish tacos, superb at its best! Good size baja fish filet with fresh veggies drizzled with tasty chipotle sauce on a super thin and crispy tortilla. It was so good I had to order 5 more fish tacos to-go. You bet I did. I wanted my daughters to try them. I will return for more fish tacos if nothing else. Btw, guava agua frescas was not the greatest... it was tasteless guava to say the least. Highly recommend for Taco Tuesday visitors! Btw, Taco Tuesday orders do not come with complimentary chips and salsa which was surprising to me. How much are they saving with a handful of chips? Come on, hence, 4 stars!

I placed a Christmas tamale order and even kept my receipt, because... holidays. Things get busy…read more Good thing I did, because when I called to check on the pickup, they claimed they "couldn't find" my order ticket. Fine mistakes happen. But what happened next was unbelievable. While I was on the phone explaining that I did place the order and had proof, the chef actually said, "Well, anyone could call and say they placed an order." The audacity. Instead of listening, instead of checking, instead of even pretending to care, I was basically accused of making the whole thing up. And here's the kicker: after all that attitude, all that dismissiveness, all that unnecessary back‑and‑forth, the order ticket suddenly appeared. Miraculously. I still picked up the tamales because it was Christmas and I didn't have time for more chaos, but the damage was done. The situation could have been handled with basic respect and professionalism. Instead, it was handled with suspicion and rudeness. We never went back and honestly, that says everything.

Looks are deceiving from the outside. The decor is colorful and vibrant. It has a Ranch style/Western theme. The interior has seating along the windows, an open outdoor patio with tables/umbrellas. A separate banquet room is in the back, easy access from the rear parking lot for your private party. Here you can enjoy sports games on the TVs and drinks from the bar setup in this room. On July 18th, I was going to a picnic and came by to buy the tapas platter. There was beef empanadas in the order, no substitutions allowed, so I ordered ala carte instead. We had a Chicken Quesadilla (with sour cream and salsa), Shrimp Taquitos (with guacamole), and diced potatoes tossed in a mild red sauce and oven roasted Papas Bravado). I'm so glad, I live nearby so I can drop by for more of these Shrimp Taquitos and try other items from the menu. What an absolute gem of a restaurant…read more As first-time visitors, my wife and I had no idea what to expect when we drove by and decided to stop here for breakfast. First and foremost, the restaurant is very clean, well-maintained, and inviting, with colorful decor and salsa music softly playing in the background. We were also greeted immediately with a "welcome" by two or three female employees. At this point in our visit, I am really loving this place. The full menu is clearly posted behind the front counter, which makes ordering easy. The young lady who took our order was welcoming and friendly. My wife ordered green chilaquiles, and I ordered huevos à la Mexicana with a large horchata and a diet soda. After we placed our orders, we sat at an empty booth, and almost instantly our waitress approached our table with a basket of hot chips dipped in beans, which I had never tried. These chips were AMAZING, as they were fresh, tasty, and the beans made them the perfect way to start our breakfast. Our food arrived at our table in eleven minutes, and everything we ordered looked appealing. After a quick prayer for our food, we had an incredible, fun dining experience. Our dishes were flavorful, filling, and perfectly prepared. Every single item was truly DELICIOUS!! I am a huge fan of beans, and these beans were AMAZING!! The restaurant also offers guests unlimited soft drink refills, iced cold water, and an unlimited salsa bar. They also offer Taco Tuesday and karaoke night, among other weekly fun activities at this restaurant. One thing which really stood out to me was how many customers were dining inside, taking advantage of the outdoor seating area, and/or picking up to-Go orders. This is a very popular restaurant and with good reason. It is AWESOME!! What really impressed me, and I mentioned it to one of the employees, was that as each guest walked out of the restaurant, ALL employees could be heard saying, "Have a great day." The exact words I say to EVERYONE every single day of my life. The positive vibes at the restaurant were overflowing, and my wife and I loved it!! I truly wish to thank employees Amy, Frances, and Jess for making our first visit such a positive experience. I ordered the 2 chicken taquitos with a side of guacamole. They were tasty! They're not your typical taquitos..the shell is much thinner, almost like an egg roll wrapper, which gave them a different texture that I actually liked. My only thought was the value. The two taquitos were almost $10, and for that price I think adding a third taquito would make the portion feel a little more in line with the rest of the menu. The 3-taco combo was around the same price and included rice, beans, and a drink, so it just felt like the better value.
