This place is overrated. Some of us had ordered the Lobster Bisque, but our waitress came back saying their lobster had "turned" and had to substitute with a salad. The filet I ordered wasn't bad, but not very memorable. My coworker ordered the Lobster Ravioli which surprisingly wasn't "turned" like our lobster bisque. Probably because there was barely any lobster in it. Not a very good experience overall. I recommend Sonny's steakhouse across the street. read more

We went on valentines and ordered lobster bisque, filet mignon and the Nutella creme brûlée. The bisque and creme brûlée were just OK, especially considering what you pay for it. I wish for the creme brûlée they made it actual chocolate instead of being gimmicky with using Nutella which is never as good as actual chocolate, especially the good kind. I love it when bisque has lobster chunks in it and this was all liquid and it definitely wasn't the best in the flavor department either, it wasn't bad but I had lot of bisques that were better and some of them cheaper. The steak was my favorite thing that night, the meat was so tender it melted in my mouth, I loved the sauce they poured over it as well and I used it for the mashed potatoes which were so smooth I could eat them all day. The steak literally saved this meal for me as everything else was a let down and felt overpriced for what I got. I'm so disappointed because Cache used to be one of my favorite restaurants for special occasions but I will be going elsewhere from now on. I have ordered the gnocchi the last 3 times i've visited and each time the portions get smaller and smaller and tonight I literally took 4 bites and finished my whole plate. I was so disappointed because the gnocchi is so good! The manager came up to our table and asked me how the gnocchi was and I told him that I wish I had more on my plate and he told me that I'll be fine because the gnocchi will grow in my stomach? I didn't pay $22 for 4 bites of gnocchi that's for sure. read more

I used to love this place. They were expensive but really top end. Service has declined badly. I worked in restaurants for a long time. Sitting at the bar listening to the staff complain about each other is a big put off. If you serve a $115 steak your staff should be focused on delivery of concept and service, and should be aware they are a part of the experience. Prior to last night I had only ordered drinks and appetizers during my visits to cache. Last night we went for dinner. I had low expectations due to the fact I heard from others the food wasn't that great. Those people were wrong and I will visit cache again! From the appetizers to dessert everything was spectacular! Our first visit to Cache started out quite nice. They have a comfortable area to use while you wait for a table to open up, which was only a short 5 minutes. Our waiter was very professional and helpful without being overbearing, he helped me navigate the robust wine list that is on an IPAD app. I thought that was pretty cool, something unique that I hadn't seen before. There wasn't anything on the appetizer list that exited me, but we were hungry and ordered the hummus that wasn't bad at all, served with warm pita bread and a few olives. I ordered the center cut filet (medium temperature), while my wife ordered a seafood dish with shrimp and muscles, served over rice and a side of corn. The other 2 in our party ordered a dinner salad, and another filet. Our waiter had the presence of mind to ask me if we would like him to have the kitchen fire our order immediately, or wait a short while so we could enjoy or appetizer and have more wine. Since it was a slow night, we elected to wait. Our food arrived at just the right time, and that is where the train began to come off of the tracks. Both fillets were dry, flavorless and overcooked, the mashed potatoes served with the fillets were cold, and the chicken served in the dinner salad was also cold. There was nothing wrong with the seafood dish, it was "ok" . Bottom line: Awesome location and setting. Management will have to do a wholesale "housecleaning" in the kitchen if they want to hang with Little Rocks top tier independent restaurants. read more

Great dinner outside Spicy Tuna was great as well the service. 2nd visit- following night. - tried the upstairs bar for after dinner drink. Not good. Blonde waitress's bad attitude ruined all the good this place had to offer. After wife questioned taste of drink order -mojito as it missed the mark. Wife politely asked if she could change as it didn't tats right bad soda or something. Our new blonde friend disagreed with my wife and said its good since she made it and tasted it. Ok-!!!! she felt it was good but my wife was not going to drink so we asked if we could change to wine, and willing to pay for another if the issue. Thought she got it after she stomped away - until I heard her openly complain about us to her buddy bartender and then what he's take a drink of it. Wow and Gross, as this was a first for me to watch a bar tender take swig out of a returned drink. Good thing I didn't order/return a burger! Could not hold back, thus confronted the beauty, and asked her how did it taste ! shared with her what I saw was tasteless. She loved that and then highlighted her tasting was because she is proud of her work and wanted to confirm she was right - it tastes ok. OK - not much more to add from here as you could imagine we closed tab and ran for the door. Advised the manager on the way out, his beauty taste-tester of a bartender upstairs needed some training on her skills sets of service and a little attitude adjustment... We had just arrived from a long day of flights and were looking forward to a great meal with our boys. Decided to go here based on location to our hotel. They weren't overly busy but took awhile to get service after we were seated. My husband and I ordered a glass of wine and mixed drink which took way to long and when I did receive my wine it was corked. We ordered from the bar menu, pizzas for our boys, and hubby and i ordered from the dinner menu. Of course the pizzas were done first but they sat in the window for at least 20 minutes before our server showed up to ask if we wanted them now. The boys were served and finished and so were the 4 people who sat down and ordered after us to our left. Finally, an hour and 20 minutes later we received the rest of our meal. It was chicken and salmon. They obviously forgot or messed up our order. Our waitress was friendly but seemed frazzled or too busy. Our meal cost $180 without the tip and unfortunately did not taste anywhere near that kind of pricing, nor did the service measure up. I rarely give bad reviews but this place was very disappointing for our first stop in Little Rock. read more

First time in Little Rock - i wanted to check out a cool place. I guess this place could be called that based on the various seating areas including an upstairs with outside seating. Clearly the owners spent some money on the decor and corner location. My experience started with a less than enthusiastic greeting (red flag #1). I was working in town so a party of one- i went upstairs and was the only one (at first) seated at the small bar. A couple mins later someone sat down - which was cool- didnt mind the company. The bartender was chatting with another employee so it took a couple minutes to get acknowledged. Meanwhile the person who sat at the bar joined in the conversation- turns out that was another employee. I considered leaving at that point but decided to be cool- things happen right? Finally ordered a beer- the bartender was busy making other drinks and again missed an opp to atleast make me feel somewhat welcome. I finally asked for my tab after a couple sips from my beer...took it downstairs to see if i might get a better experience. Heres the positive- they certainly are consistent - i finally left - leaving 1/4 of my sad beer behind. Hope your experience is better- i would never step foot in this place again. I've eaten here 2 times for dinner and two times for lunch. I've been under whelmed both times. Most recently had the salmon. It was dry and the roasted veggies basically tasted like a frozen mix that was cooked. I'm really disappointed in the quality of the food. There are much better places for the money. We decided to try Cache for a big family celebration: My husband's daughter and her husband are expecting twins! We invited two other couples to join our family, and we were able to try the Chef's Table experience at Cache. It was incredible for all of us. Everyone was very friendly from the beginning. When I called to confirm the reservation (and that the restaurant was open on an ice-storm day), the staff member was very gracious, telling us they were looking forward to seeing us. When we arrived, the hosts were again gracious and classy without being snooty. The eight of us arrived at four separate times, and they were very welcoming to all of us and we felt relaxed while we waited for the evening to begin. We met the owners and chefs, sommelier and our wait staff (the stellar JoJo of CBG fame!), and started off with champagne and some chef-chosen/prepared amuse bouche from the appetizer menu. My pregnant stepdaughter could not drink, of course, but JoJo suggested a great cocktail when she asked for something virgin from the bar, which was perfect. Jeff, the restaurant's sommelier (there are only three or four in Little Rock) was choosing the wines for all us all evening, and he did a fantastic job. We had a delightful, but not retiring, champagne to pair with the first round of amuse bouche, and a Sauterne with the foie gras. None of us had ever tried that particular wine before, and we really valued the experience of having him choose and guide us. As the meal progressed, we had three different bottles of wine to share and sample on the table, the recommended one for each of our entrees and then additional glasses for us to try the other wines on the table. The restaurant staff were friendly, personable and solicitous, but never pushy or overbearing, and never snobby. They all seemed so genuinely happy we were there, and when we told them why one of our guests couldn't drink, they congratulated her and her husband and talked about the twins, etc. That helped make it a special celebration, because we felt they were warmly celebrating with us. Now, for the food. It was everything the menu descriptions promise, and then some! We had various salads and shared the charcuterie plate (with the wonderful lazy-Susan-embedded tables, it is so easy to share EVERYTHING!). For the amuse bouche they sent out for us, we had crab cakes, caviar on goat cheese in phyllo tarts, foie gras on filet bites with spaetzle and mushroom polenta. For the rest of the meal, we ordered from the menu. For first courses, many of us had salads, and I had the lemon pecorino, which JoJo described to me as "Cache's take on the Caesar." It was delicious, and the lemon made it lighter and tastier than a traditional Caesar salad. My stepdaughter had the citrus salad and my husband had the heirloom beet salad. Both said they were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was very pleased. For the entrees, we chose six different dishes among us: Two of us had the "Mero Sea Bass and Scallops: Heirloom cauliflower cream * black truffle * cerignola olive * chive * cipollini onion." Two of us chose the "SHELLFISH PAELLA: Shrimp * scallops * clams * shaved fennel * chorizo * saffron rice" (one of us said this seemed more like risotto than paella, but that it was delicious and she was pleased) Two of us dined on "TASMANIAN SALMON: Oven dried tomato * beet ribbons * creamed leeks * seasonal mushrooms" and then the other two had different dishes: "NEW ZEALAND LAMB RACK: Sweet pea ravioli * chard, pancetta, red wine mint demi" ("best meat dish I've had in a very long time, our friend said), and "PESTO TAGLIATELLE: Asparagus * pistachio pesto tagliatelle * goat cheese * mascarpone." We all had trouble choosing, because the selections sound so delicious and inventive. We definitely want to go back and sample more! For dessert we ordered four to share among us, and they included a chocolate "deconstructed Milky Way Bar," a small banana cream pie, an espresso panna cotta and a white chocolate bread pudding. We also enjoyed coffee and conversation and relaxed over the decadent deliciousness of the dessert and the whole meal. The restaurant is so beautiful, chic, modern and elegant, and the whole experience in the private dining area of the chef's table next to the kitchen was extraordinary. This is definitely on our very small list of very special occasion venues, and we'll be back. Thank you, Cache, for making our celebration so memorable. You didn't disappoint in any way! read more

Food seems to be very inconsistent. Service is very bad. Steak was dropped on the table waiter did not ask for them to be checked and they were wrong. Had to wait a long time to get it fixed. Come on Cache your better than this! I won't be able to take customers there anymore if you can't get this fixed. They had a bad experience and that reflects on me and what I am trying to achieve with getting my customers out to dinner. Very disappointed. I like this place because it can be refined and classy if you want, but can also be a little more laid back and casual. The food is always at least 1 step above most others around here. Attention to detail. The decor, food, and drinks all take account of little things that set them apart. The chef was quick to make suggestions on the menu based on a dairy allergy that was present at our table and everything came out as perfectly as it could have. As a nice bonus, the bread served was from the Boulevard bakery across the street. I tend to only come here on special occasions, but may frequent this place a little more based on my previous experiences. If you have been here before in the past but not recently, the menu has changed and simplified, and is worth a try, or another try if you weren't satisfied before. It's a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the area, but I feel it's justified. read more

Two words can describe this Restaurant, Huge Disappointment! Had it not have been for the great decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, I would have given this place one star. The wait staff was mediocre. I sat with an empty drink for 15 or more minutes. The waiter had very little knowledge of the menu. The food was ok, nothing special. The calamari was over breaded and over cooked. There wasn't much flavor in the prosciutto wrapped rabbit. The best thing I had were the glazed apples served with the rabbit. I really, really wanted to write a good review before I went. Now I see why the reviews are mostly negative. I most likely will not be returning to Cache unless there are drastic changes. Yes I'm going to give it 5 stars! The upstairs is where it's at! Rob is just a phenomenal bartender. One of those who truly puts his clients first. I've been here several times and at first wasn't a huge fan but now aces all the way. Tonight I tried the calamari which was delicious bc it wasn't chewy and the marinara was semi spicy. The group loved it. Also, the group loved.....loved....the bbq chicken pizza, the buffalo pizza, and the carnivore pizza. This brick oven pizza is literally the best in town. Each bite you can taste the flavors without it being over bland. Not many places in little rock can do a buffalo pizza well and this by far is the best. Kiddos and now Cache will be my local joint. read more

I've eaten here once...for a reason. The food is overpriced and underwhelming. I'll gladly pay fine-dining prices when the food is actually of that quality. Even more unfortunately for this restaurant, the service is as lacking as the flavor profiles and skills in the kitchen. Here are some basic pointers for improvement: 1. Jumbo lump crab cakes are even more delicious when patrons don't have to pick shell bits out of them. 2. Salads aren't hard to mess up...check other restaurants for how to use fresh lettuce. Should be an easy fix. 3. You can't hide the flavor of burnt garlic. Just start over. 4. The line between under and over salting food is not actually that fine. People have been mastering it for years. You can too! 5. Lastly, regardless of how much you might disagree with a bystander's opinion, a restaurant owner should NEVER be so inappropriate or unprofessional as to empty a bucket of water on them from the balcony of his restaurant. You brought shame on our city and the River Market. I'm deeply embarrassed by this behavior and you should apologize to the people you dumped water on and to the residents of Little Rock for your childish behavior. read more

This place is beautiful, and designed and decorated well. The food, however is mediocre. Had the Heritage Beet Salad for openers; beets tasted great, as did the pecans, but there was no dressing, citrus tang (only the few bits of orange) or salt to dress the rest of the greens. The Roasted Chicken was quite bland. Also needed some salt, and some sort of balsalmic or citrus. Just completely lacked flavor. The brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal. It seems that most every dish is served with polenta. While it is a good polenta, no complaints there, the chicken should have been the star of the meal. Didn't bother to try dessert. If you can't manage flavoring in a salad or entrée, I'm not wasting money on your desserts. Someone needs a lesson in seasonings. The owner was so kind to us when we arrived, and our waiter Joel was nimble with the Perfect Martini and thorough knowledge of the wine list. The most overrated dining experience in Arkansas. Once again our table of 4 spent well over $500 on a very sub par food experience. I'd have honestly enjoyed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich more. Both orders of oysters on the half shell were ridiculous. Smelly and Tiny Small..about the size of a 1/2 dollar and priced like NYC instead of LR-AR. Iceberg salad was round and about 6" in diameter. $12. Pork chop tiny, salty and overcooked..tough. Risotto was good. $50+ "stuffed" lobster special was terrible. Left on plate. Lamb was bloody. The bananas Foster arrived in a white bowl that resembled a toilet. The bananas were sloshing around in a soupy mixture which gave the appearance of "turds in a punch bowl"...it was disgusting and not set on fire table side. Chocolate Box honestly disgusting. Cache is "too big for its britches" and is incredibly over priced. I've had 10X better dining experience for the same price at say...Restaurant Gary Danko in San Francisco. Cache needs to work harder and lower the prices. Very disappointed. It had been about one year since we'd been there and thought we'd give it another shot. Last year we ate at Cache and loved it. Not a place we can go to very often because it is pricey but we couldn't go see Tim and Faith because the concert was cancelled so we opted for a great dinner at Cache. The wine was excellent. Shrimp and grits and escargot appetizers were delicious. The steak was like butter melting in your mouth. My husband had fish and it had a pistachio topping that made it great. Topped it off with chocolate cake and ice cream. Gained 3lbs but it was worth it. See yall next year. read more

OMG!!! This is THE BEST restaurant in downtown Little Rock -- maybe the whole LR/NLR area! The service is impeccable (ask for Allison -- she is amazing!). The food is fresh, interesting, and delicious! My son, his wife, and I had the house filet, paella, and sea bass and scallops, respectively. Everything was truly delicious -- cooked to perfection and ample portions. Allison did a great job of suggesting wine pairings. While Cache is not inexpensive, it is worth every penny. My family and I went to Cache on a Wednesday night. It was not busy at all. It's a beautifully decorated restaurant. Our server, JoJo was very friendly and helpful. She took time to make sure everyone had what they needed and were enjoying their food. I ordered the filet and it was absolutely amazing. We came in for dinner ahead of a concert that we were attending later that evening at Verizon Arena. Our server was very conscious of this and made sure we made it out in time. We ordered the Kiwitina and Owners martini. They were both lacking in flavor. We didn't even finish those drinks but the wine list was pretty nice. Caprese Salad was pretty tasty. It comes with avocado which they could've left off. The fried Brussels sprouts appetizer is very good, they're battered and deep fried and covered with an tangy aioli sauce and the batter was seasoned well so it was definitely worth it. For dinner we ordered the salmon which was pretty good if you're a salmon eater but the sauce that covered it was lacking so to me it was a pretty boring dish. Now If they had put the maple glaze on the salmon then they would've been onto something with that dish. We also had the maple glazed pork chops with corn risotto and I added the baked white cheddar macaroni and cheese. The meat was cooked perfectly and so were the sides. Overall it was an enjoyable meal. We will definitely be returning. read more
