Mexican ayce buffet! Sign me up! When i know i can have unlimited menudo i will find said place wherever its at! Too bad they dont have albondigas. They have some authentic food. The tamales was not my cup of tea and my corn elote was a bit too sour. The quesibirria was excellent! I really liked how cheesy it was and the taco was crispy and thin. They serve breakfast/ brunch at 9am and lunch starts at 12pm. At noon is when they have tacos and beefier items. Its 25$ for breakfast and 30$ for lunch. Why i loved this place is bc the servers are phenomenal! Boy were they awesome! Both of them, the guy and girl was so helpful and friendly and was on top of it! They constantly cleared my table and refilled my diet coke. I would come again but eating here will make you full for the rest of the day/night. The only one thing is not all the buffet line workers speaks english. A fellow in front of my husband asked for sausage and the lady gave him carne asada meat and when he kept saying "no, sausage". The lady would nod and keep giving him more carne asada until he finally gave up and took the carne asada. Lol! This is a buffet where they give you the item you want. The salsa is serve yourself. This is my second review. I must say that the food has gotten slightly better, like they finally figured it out. Customer service was very good, attentive, and polite. The ambiance inside is very festive, lots of classic Mexican colors and decorations. My only real complaint is how expensive it is! It was $64 for two? i could have eaten prime rib for that price! I could have eaten at the South Point and had steaks and mimosas for that price! That's just crazy. I wanted to give this place one more chance, but I think I'm done here. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! This is not just a bad buffet -- it is shockingly awful, the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted and surely the worst AYCE experience of my entire life. And I'm not even a picky eater. Do yourself a favor: even cheapest Golden Corral is better than this. I usually don't complain about restaurants because everyone has different tastes, but you can feel the GREED here. Extremely limited food choices, everything made from the cheapest ingredients possible. Nothing here tastes like effort, care, or even basic seasoning. The worst part -- something I've never seen at any buffet -- is their unbelievably stupid setup. All the food is locked behind a glass case, and you have to stand in line and ask the staff to serve you every single time you want anything. It's slow, inconvenient, and you can't choose your own portions. You either choke down all they give you or deal with the awkwardness of leaving food behind. It honestly feels like they designed it this way so you'd be too embarrassed to go back for asking for more food. It's manipulative, it's cheap, and it ruins the entire experience. For around $30 per person, you have so many better buffet options in Las Vegas/ Henderson with far superior, premium food and more diverse option. And if you're thinking of coming here to "try authentic Mexican cuisine," please don't. This is an embarrassment to authentic Mexican food. To be fair, I would not consider myself to be any sort of expert in Mexican cuisine. However, I did grow up in Southern California and have had my fair share of Mexican food, so take that for what it's worth. I was there on a Friday around 11:30am, because I wanted to try both their breakfast and lunch items given that it was the same price. My preference, come after 12pm for lunch. The tacos (see below) aren't there for breakfast. They seem to rotate items, so some things might not be available on your specific visit. For example, I was looking forward to trying their quesabirria after seeing pictures of them, but they sadly weren't there when I went. Some of the dishes are designed to fill you up quickly. For the less experienced like myself, ones to be wary of: Pozole - tons of chickpeas with just one piece of fatty pork, soup itself isn't bad Tamales - Not dry, good flavor although they're 95% dough with just a sliver of meat. Both the pork and chicken were equally stingy on the fillings Flautas - nice crispy exterior, fun to try but could use more filling, not as bad as the tamales but still, not worth the stomach real estate Favorites: Machaca - super tender meat and oh so flavorful, must try Chilaquiles - thick crunchy tortilla chips with your choice of toppings at the toppings bar. I got pico de gaillo, cilantro, red onions, cheese, salsa verde. WARNING: the red salsa is quite spicy, try a little bit before dousing your food in it Tacos - the absolute highlight. Love that they don't double tortilla. All 3 meats were cooked to perfection. Carnitas were so tender with a nice mild pork flavor. Carne asada had a kicking smoky flavor, and was not dry at all. I've always assumed that being a leaner cut of meat, carne asada is going to be a bit on the drier side, but this has now set the standard for me as to what good asada should taste like. Barbacoa is sooo rich with an intense beefy flavor that just melts in your mouth. Topped with cheese from the topping bar, it became almost too rich. Definitely add some fresh pico de gaillo and onions to balance out all that intense savoryness. Churros - not too sweet, very cinnamony with a surprising mild chocolate filling, optional to add chocolate syrup and/or condensed milk for the more sweet inclined Mids: Menudo - seems to use same soup base as pazole with chickpeas, does have a strong beef offal taste that was too much for me Pork ribs - tender but bland Chile relleno - flavorful with an interesting spongy batter, decent but I wouldn't count it amongst my favorites Chicharron verde - might just be me, but the spongy texture just wasn't appealing Friendly servers that stayed on top of topping off drinks and clearing plates, one even helped me carry one of my plates back to my table on my first round when I accidentally attempted to try too many items at once. If you let them know someone at your table is celebrating a bday, they'll put a colorful mexican hat on them and sing to them too. It's not a big restaurant so everyone's watching :D read more

Decided to try this for breakfast, bad idea. The food was OK, just not alot of choices. What killed it for me was the price. $32 for breakfast? I mean seriously, that's ridiculous. I had calabacitas, beans and 2 pork tamales. The tamales were OK, not great. The calabacitas were pretty fresh, but no cheese in them which was odd. The beans were good, refried and hardy. Also had corn and flour tortillas, and a fried jalapeño. You can't really mess those up honestly. The tortillas were nothing special to be honest. The one thing i did enjoy was the churros. Very fresh and warm, encrusted in sugar and cinnamon, so good! I would have rated this place a 3 if the price was half off. We went on a Sunday. Place was full and there was a wait. We arrived at Noon. We asked the cashier if breakfast was still available. She didn't know but asked another co worker. Co worker confirmed they would still have breakfast. They didn't. The servers informed us that at 12pm they remove breakfast items and bring in lunch items. In a nutshell, it was $30 for unlimited tacos, tamales, and gorditas with a drink. Fruit was limited to melon and watermelon. No salads. Churros and mini conchas for desert. If you have picky eating kids, they have really bad pizza and chicken nuggets. I also had a menudo spill on my clothes because the server gave me a bowl on a plate over the counter and it slid off. Luckily the menudo was almost cold. Next trip I asked if I can get it on the side of the counter. Overall, IMO nothing special to come back to. For $30 Golden Corral would've been better. read more

So glad we tried this place. I have seen them all over tik tok so we decided to give them a try. The staff is friendly and the waitress is attentive. The food tastes like someone's abuela is back in the kitchen cooking. There was not one thing we didn't like. My favorite dish was there albondigas soup. It was perfectly seasoned and the veggies were cooked just right. The meatballs were tender and flavorful. The papas con chorizo Gordita was so delicious. I would also recommend the barbocoa tacos. They have found the perfect balance most buffets miss. They have moderate amount of food on their buffet, but it's more than enough items to satisfy all, and all the food is perfectly cooked. I was so looking forward to my visit here! My friends and I went for lunch. It was 28 dollars for all you can eat. It reminds me more of cafeteria style dining. I tried the tamales, chili rellenos, machaca, calabasitas, plantains, beans, rice, enchiladas. My friends tried the same, including carnitas, gorditas. Of everything I tried I would recommend the carnitas and machaca! The Machaca was the most flavorful! The waitress was nice and friendly, taking care to keep our glasses filled. When you first enter you will have to pay first and then they will see you and then you go to the buffet line and they will serve you because there is no self-serve. . I went during Thanksgiving weekend so they did have something special which they did have a whole turkey. They also had a pineapple and strawberry tamale which was different and homemade and it was on the sweet side like a pastry. They also have your Savory tamale as well with jalapeno and cheese or pork tamale. . They also have your Mexican soup like menudo and pozole which was really authentic and I really like the menudo because it has the beef stomach in it. The pozole has a lot of chickpeas and chunks of pork with ribs too. I also like how the garnish was not self-served so you can put as much onions and cilantro and any spices you need for the soup. . I really like their steak fajita with cactus stir fry it was really great and the meat wasn't dry and it was actually flavorful and had a nice tenderness to it. . They also have a lamb leg or beef leg I wasn't sure what it was but it was really great and I do love the presentation where they do cut pieces out of it to serve you. You do not get the bone but there is a big bone attached to the meat while they're cutting it for you. . They also have your chili relleno which was really authentic and it was a great texture and flavor. They also have your chips and salsa with guacamole and different sauces at the bar where you can self serve. . Overall I really like the cooking because it really reminds me of walking into a friend's house that welcomes you to their party and you get to try their cooking. Food was very delicious and with many authentic flavors. I was not too happy with being charged 8 dollars for the Horchata since it was nothing extraordinary or extravagant. I think they should have horchata in their included drinks since it is a staple in the Mexican cuisine just like drinking Coke-Cola. The ambiance is nice, good music playing, servers in the buffet area are attentive. The dessert area does need some attention since it is a small area and during my visit didn't get much options besides mini concha's and cookies. Was able to get some fresh churros which was glad to see they offer that. Cactus Mexican buffet is a must go to when going to Las Vegas! My husband and I are visiting from Pasadena, California and found this place on instagram last year, and ever since we make sure to come here anytime we come to Vegas. Their service is amazing!! Jesenia the owner (sorry if the name is spelled wrong) but she is amazing she is soooo sweet, always smiling and making sure everyone is taken care of. The Cactus Mexican Buffet is super welcoming with a check in for the waitlist right near the door. There isn't a ton of seating to wait inside. They offer all the favorites and some cool specialty non-alcoholic drinks. It was super busy and staff checked in a bunch. The buffet area was clean and labeled and staff serving were friendly. My favorite things were the tamales, plantains, chilaquiles, and rice pudding. Everything was very well seasoned and warm. I got the strawberry horchata, which was super creamy but the strawberry on it was a bit wilted. My only concern was that certain parts of the restaurant in the dining area and the restroom were not as clean as they could be. I came, I tried, I crossed it off my list. $24.99 for adults, $28.17 with tax (WOW), drinks included. I don't want to be too critical because the place was packed and forming a line. I heard the owner telling customers that it was family owned and used authentic family recipes. They were raving but it was too authentic for someone who grew up eating at Macayo Vegas. The posole soup was ok and I liked the green sauce on the chilaquiles, but there was no fried eggs or meat to put on it. The "pork" was nothing but pork fat. Seriously, no meat just pieces of floppy sloppy pork fat. No tacos, burritos or enchiladas. The chile Relleno had no sauce but was ok with a little guacamole. I don't know where the deserts were but I couldn't find them. When I tried to ask they all spoke Spanish. The server who brought me a coke was very sweet. For that price I expect meat. What a great find. We had to drive to Costco for work and hadn't eaten yet. After a quick search in the area, I came across Cactus Mexican Buffet. I LOVE chilaquiles and they had it. So my husband and I decided to try it. Wow! The food is great. It's prepared in small batches so what you're eating hasn't been sat out all day. We had chilaquiles, chile relleno, enchilada, gorditas, elote, tamales and more. It was all VERY GOOD. The staff were all so sweet. The ambiance is awesome. Not stuffy and not dingy.
