The ceviche tostada and loaded baked potato with Carne Asada and El Pastor were super good! The bartender is also the owner he's completely on top of things and so on point you never have a spare moment without a drink in your hand. The vibe is really good. It was a great place to watch the World Cup soccer game and we absolutely love the Modelo girl! We will definitely be back to try some of the other food. We took our food to go as we headed out to the airport but it was great!!! (Sorry forgot to take pics of our burritos)The service was amazing and one lady was extra attentive to a young child that lost their toy in the planter. She offered a substitute toy from their lost and found to help the sad child. Ample seating area inside. While we waited for food 4 HUGE football built men came in - looked like maybe UNLV football. Once I saw them ordering I felt reassured we found a good spot. I like to check bathrooms... clean bathrooms make me think the restaurant has a clean kitchen and take pride in their establishment. This place has such unbelievably good Mexican food; I think it's safe to say it's the best I've tried in the Vegas area. You just can't beat the quality that you get especially for such a reasonable price. I always get the chicken burrito when I come in, the perfect balance of such fresh ingredients just keeps me coming back for more. I genuinely think this could go head to head with most SoCal Mexican food. Not only is the food incredible, but the hours are great, the drink selection is plentiful and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is always very clean, and there's also a bar with many tvs around the store for drinks and entertainment. Highly recommend this for anyone in vegas, especially people headed to the airport or students at UNLV as students get an additional discount. I would give this 6 stars if I could, don't even THINK about going to chipotle down the street when you can get food that's a million times better and at a similar price point. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to eat. Its dining area is always spotless and you can easily see your food being made. They also have a bar area and outside seating , just a great place with friendly staff. The salsa bar is always fresh. UNLV students have it made with this just across the street from them. The food is not good ordered a California burrito. Steak not seasoned they use mozzarella cheese which is a no no in my book. We've lived in area for years, noticed a new place to eat. Excited to try! We ordered the following: Burrito Cameron Enchilado as I love shrimp. Burrito Pollo, and fountain drinks. $31.95. Everything was fresh, tortillas weren't as good as I expected. The burritos really, had no flavor. Shrimp was very good. They had a salsa bar. Very good, especially the mango salsa!! The environment was welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly, hospitable and did two separate table checks. I liked that! The quality was not very good for the price, lacking flavor. Not like likely to return. Value for your dollar is important. Napkins a thin, and we went through a lot. Hopefully management reads this and takes a few things into consideration. Out of 5 stars, I'd likely take one away for pricing, and another for flavor. They are new so I'll be fare. The service outstanding!!! read more

Tacos del Julio UNLV is a great restaurant with fun music. You'll find them on Tropicana and Maryland across from UNLV, near Jimmy Johns. Menu is huge with great looking pics and food description. Interior is spacious with plenty of table seating. They have lively and upbeat background music, and a nice bar. The restaurant also has six TVs to watch sports channel. I opted for the 3 Combo Taco Plate ($14.99), it's very filling and delicious! I had the birria, chicken, and shrimp taco (+$0.75) served with rice, beans, chips, and green chile, so good! Birria consome is soothing and flavorful, and Elote Entero "Corn on the cob" ($4.75) is tasty. Agua fresca horchata ($3.50) has the right sweetness and is refreshing. Very welcoming, attentive, and friendly service from Tony and Ray, both are polite, courteous and pleasant. The menu itself is awesome, I'll definitely be returning to try more! read more

Dropped in here after a meeting nearby. It is a fascinating fade, very college oriented. I loved it. Reminded me of my days at UCLA, with a local shops especially the sandwich shops. The tacos here are incredible. Small flavorful and perfectly spiced. I came in when there was no customer so I had the best service, and I love the overall comfortable feeling in here.
