My family and I ate here for dinner tonight and my husband and I ordered the wings- which we've had in the past and were very good. Tonight they were undercooked (slimy) with barely enough sauce on them to coat them. We saw a table nearby that had wings that looked completely different (crispy, with lots of sauce!). We do not usually like to complain about anything, but we did mention it to the server at the end of the meal. Nothing was done to rectify the situation, not even an apology from the manager. 2.5 Stars. This is another one of those restaurants that is a better bar then a place to eat. However, the service, even at the bar, can be horrible. This is at the Armitage Golf Course, upstairs. It tends to get crowded on the weekends. I'm not sure why but it is what it is. The food is standard fare. Nothing special. Cant think of anything really bad, but nothing stands out as really good for sure. Over the last few years Nick has jacked up the prices and the changed the menu. I wish I could say it made it better, but nada. I like this place to grab a couple of beers. That's about it. Far from inexpensive(for bar food) as some other reviewers claim???? I grew up within walking distance of the Caddy Shack. I have great memories throughout my life here. Many of the servers have been there since I was a kid. The people that gave it poor reviews, I recommend sticking to the original items. Come for their wings and their caddy shack fries. The Cellar menu brings more upscale items which many of them are good; but their bar food is the best. Caddy shack fries are piled high with cheese and bacon. The bacon is cut to good sized, real bacon. The caddy shack sauce is so delicious you can dip a leaf in it and it would be great. Stick with what they do best and you won't be disappointed. We come here often and are always treated with courtesy and professionalism. The food is always good and if any issues ever arise, they are always taken care of in a timely manner. We enjoyed the Easter Buffet on 4/16/17 and appreciated the hard work by the entire staff to ensure the event was a success. Swore I reviewed this already....My wife and I swung in to grab a quick lunch while passing through to get to a doctors appointment down the road. Since it was the middle of the day there was no one around and most of the people we did see were walking away from the restaurant to go golfing. The menu sounded good but since we were limited by time, we both chose wraps. It took about 10 minutes, give or take to get the food. Probably her onion rings are what took so long since they were the only thing cooked. I ordered the Pork BBQ wrap and it was alright, I would have liked a little more sauce to combat the dryness of the meat, but at least the flavor was good. She ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap and enjoyed it without complaint. The server was friendly and prompt so no complaints there. We'll need to come back when we have more time to actually take our time with some of the bigger entrees. read more

So we called about 5 hours beforehand for our 40+ person group. Not only did they not laugh, they were excited to have us. The staff was great with our half kid, half adult crew. Every year I go to the Caddy Shack with my family during their 50% off month.. it's kind of our tradition. Who doesn't like a good deal? The restaurant was very busy when we were there especially the bar area. Our server was super friendly and on it.. I couldn't ask for anything more. Food was also really good. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered.. even the kids meals. I got the New York strip which was cooked and seasoned very good. It had a little more "marbling" than I would like but it wasn't terrible. For a good casual restaurant with a local feel this is a great place to try out! read more

My friends and myself had a happy hour get together on Friday night, August 14, at this place on their outside deck. The food was ok, nothing to brag about, and the drinks weren't that good. Everything is made with mix and tasting alcohol was a challenge. As we were finishing up and getting ready to end the evening, I scooted back on my chair and to my surprise the back legs buckled under and I started going back and I wasn't able to get my feet under me to stop it. My friend next to me tried grabbing me to help and we both went down onto their deck. Not one staff member came to our rescue. After getting up, we had to bring a manager over to us and actually coax her to take our information. She probably threw it out afterwards because she just didn't seem like she cared about the situation in the restaurant that she was supposedly managing. She even mentioned that she saw us fall but still didn't come over to us until we said something. My back is still sore and my friend has a lump on the back of her head and ended up with a bruise on her back. She knew about the lump on the head and soreness, so she can't say she didn't. The chairs are junk if that can happen and there was a bar on it that caused our back problems. If that isn't piss poor customer service, I don't know what is. I would have thought also a phone call to check on us, but nothing. I will never spend another dime at that place and I'm also wondering if a call to a personal injury lawyer is appropriate. Beware of a simple night out at this place, it could become more than you bargained for. read more

My husband and I went here for our date night Anniversary dinner. HORRIBLE! The seafood lasagna came with leftover plastic wrap around the edges - a dead give away that the bowl had been pre-cooked, pre-portioned and reheated once ordered. The menu claimed it included shrimp, scallops and crab. The lasagna had been so over microwaved, that my fork could not even cut through the noodles. The mini shrimp were super hard and over cooked, again both due to being microwaved way too long. There were also NO scallops. Of the 4" x 3" square served, half of it was inedible due to excessive microwaving. My dear husband ordered the rib bucket, which again had been precooked, and microwaved to order. Totally dried out, with no juiciness in the ribs. Save your money, even at half off - definitely not worth it. What a total shame! read more

I held an event at the Hampden Community center at Armitage Golf course, however, the centers' events are run by and catered by the Caddyshack. I have only great things to say about the service and the food. Karen, the general manager, was a delight to work with, and the staff that assisted on the day of the event were as helpful and knowledgeable as possible. The food was great, couldn't have been a more lovely and stress free experience and was reasonably priced as well!! read more

What a great find!! Had heard of this place several times from friends at work but never stopped by because it is a bit out of the way (not on a heavily traveled road unless in those developments) but heard about 50% off month (still sounds crazy to me) so my fiancé and I decided to give it a try. It was a bit busy and those servers were working their butts off! Our server Carly (I think, hate myself for not remembering her name exactly) was so sweet and helpful! She explained everything about the 50% off and went over drinks very well (my fiancés a bit of a snob lol), she made great recommendations, I got the lobster Mac and cheese and he got Ribs and the portion sizes were great!! And at the end of the night after our crazy discount and all Carly heard us debating on ordering another round and driving home and gave us an uber discount from her personal account!! How sweet, a staff who really cares my only complaint would have been that they were incredibly short staffed but I did hear one of the other servers saying that no one could come in to pick up the extra slack so I'll give you this one Caddy Shack! Glad to see the Shack open again, but was very disappointed to see the "Mug Club" going from $10 to $25(with a t-shirt). I don't want their t-shirt, I have 3 at home. Come in Nick, don't ruin a good thing. I like going over there for lunch about once or twice every two weeks, but without the mug club at a reasonable price, forget it. read more

I really wish I could give LESS than 1 star. I was just at a Christmas Party at this place. Normally, my work Christmas party is here and it is hit and miss, well tonight wasn't even a miss. The menu began with a cheese and veggie tray, meatballs and chicken wings (1 hot 1 mild). The cheese/veggie tray was not restocked, so it was veg tray (no plural). The meatballs were plentiful IF you want little rubber balls that were oonce frozen then over cooked and put in canned or commercial gravy. The wings were over done and the sauces were a disgrace. Hot sauce was watered down Franks Hot sauce and the mild sauce tasted like ketchup and some odd BBQ sauce. Now onto the dinner: Dinner rolls that were the consistency of small concrete footballs (which probably would have been better if they were concrete!), salad, and dressing which was HO HUM that you can buy in ANY super market, carrots and broccoli which was not cooked well, they were completely raw, the red potatoes were done correctly, but under seasoned. There was a lasagna, they I wasn't remotely interested in (looked like cardboard with ketchup on them) and a lot were left on the tables around me. Prime Rib and Pork Tenderloin ended the entry line up. Let me first point out, I did not have the pork, it looked over cooked and I wasn't interested. The prime rib looked much better than it tasted. It was VERY tough, and pretty much inedible. No flavor and not able to cut it with the knives provided. The deserts were pies and cakes were standard frozen that were bought at any restaurant supply house. The service staff ranged from average to overly aggressive when clearing tables. Not a big deal with an open BAr, but not nice when you are buying drinks. If you have ever considered McDonald's fine dining with expert trained chefs; then this place deserves 3 Michelin Stars, but if you are an average diner, you will not like it and you should avoid this place at all costs/ read more

Out family has eaten at at the Caddy Shack on Several occasions other than just the special occasion buffets but I think my favorite are the buffets. So many options to choose from and fresh! Today (November 1) begins the annual Caddy Shack customer appreciation (50% off menu items)... but something is amiss. The $18.95 new york strip is not $9.50 as in years past. NOPE...Nick & company have raised all prices by 30% or more to rake in more money. The new york strip now is priced (for this month only) at $25.00. Of course, half off and the steak now costs $12.50. It is still a decent deal, but call it what it is. It is not appreciative to significantly raise prices during your customer appreciation month. I have seen coupons for this restaurant for years, but never tried it until today. It is by a golf course. The host was friendly and took my name to be on a waiting list to be seated. I picked a busy night Friday to try and get in. If any of you visit this place on a weekend call and make a reservation. I will do that next time. Friday is the prime rib special for about 10 dollars. It tasted good. It can get loud in the place, because you have so many people in one space. I don't think that everyone was trying to be real loud, it was just really busy, so you can hear everyone talking. I liked how the workers showed good team work, by helping each other with cleaning tables, and helping bring the dishes to the table, when the other waiters and waitresses got busy. None of the workers gave me an attitude and were polite. I wish that I hadn't of worn shorts because the outside deck got a little breezy and cold. The wait to eat inside was a much longer wait though. I liked the lights on the deck by the big tent. read more
