I saw on social media that TJ Rockwell's was hosting a Kegs & Eggs event the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day -- a festive brunch situation from 9am-2pm with a special menu and Irish-inspired drinks. As someone who is always looking for an excuse to celebrate literally anything (especially if it involves food), this immediately made its way onto my weekend agenda. My adventure buddy and I rolled in around 10:30am and walked straight into what can only be described as a St. Patrick's Day pregame party. The parking lot was full, the bar was packed, and the crowd was decked out in green, shamrocks, and questionable life choices. Despite the chaos, we somehow snagged a booth right away, which felt like a small personal victory. We got seated and... were handed the regular menu. Cue internal panic. Because I had done my homework. I had studied the brunch menu. I had a plan. Thankfully, our server swooped in like a hero, brought us the correct menu, and reassured me that yes, I could still live my best brunch life. Crisis averted. We started with drinks because obviously. My adventure buddy went with the Lucky Leprechaun Martini (Tito's vodka, melon liqueur, pineapple - $11), and I opted for the Jameson Orange Mimosa ($9). The martini absolutely stole the show -- bright green, sweet, refreshing, and aggressively on theme. No notes. Then came the hard part: deciding what to eat. TJ Rockwell's did not mess around with this menu -- it was stacked. We landed on the Breakfast Eggrolls ($13) and the Afternoon Delight ($17) because we believe in teamwork and over-ordering for the sake of "the full experience." Those eggrolls were elite -- crispy on the outside, loaded with sausage, egg, and cheese on the inside, and even better dipped in maple syrup (which I absolutely did, no regrets). Sweet, savory, and a little dangerous. And then the Afternoon Delight arrived... and this thing was not a sandwich, it was a commitment. Ground breakfast sausage smashed on the griddle, Irish cheddar, bacon, all stacked between slices of homemade French toast with a side of potatoes O'Brien. It was huge, indulgent, and exactly what you hope for when you commit to a holiday brunch event. My adventure buddy handled it like a champ and cleaned the plate. What really impressed me was how quickly everything came out despite the place being absolutely slammed. TJ Rockwell's clearly came prepared for the crowd, and it showed. Our server was fantastic -- attentive, friendly, and thoughtful down to the little things (like bringing me a lid for my maple syrup so it could safely make the journey home, which I deeply appreciated). Our total came to $51.80 before tip, which is a little up there for brunch, but honestly, it felt worth it for the food, the drinks, and the full-on festive experience. When we left around 11:45am, the lobby was packed with people waiting for tables, so we definitely nailed the timing and avoided the full post-church brunch chaos. I had built this event up in my head based on their social media hype, and I'm very happy to report that it delivered. TJ Rockwell's understood the assignment. If they bring back Kegs & Eggs next year, I'll absolutely be back -- probably wearing something green and making equally excellent life choices. read more

I decided to give the restaurant a chance after we had a couple of questionable meals over the summer. I came two weeks ago and had lunch ..the brussel sprout salad was good and I felt good that maybe the restaurant had worked out problems. Tonight we came and I ordered the chili..it came out luke warm...I waited for our waitress to come back and when she did..the table was done...and honestly l. I get nervous when hot soups come out luke warm. The kids meal had chicken that was dry in taste and texture..actually surprised my son ate as much as he did. So the Home Boss wanted her favorite "Mudslide" (Adult Beverage) so we decided we should eat dinner also! They Had a special Meatloaf Stack. Meatloaf Piled high on Mashed Potatoes and Covered in Gravy w a side of Broccoli seemed right up my alley while the better half ordered her Crispy Chicken Salad with extra poppy seed dressing. Came out for trivia with Cheaters Never Prosper (music trivia). My wife loves it here...I'm just "meh" about it. Tonight, got sat very quickly. Our waitress was quick to the table and very friendly. Took our order in a very timely fashion. No "hot sauce" except Tobasco? (Get Henchmen's- it's locally made) Coffee was really good. Got the Honolulu Chicken- delicious. Big portion. Wife had the potato soup (which she enjoyed) and the ham/cheddar pretzel sandwich (which she also enjoyed). While the meal was delicious...it was very overpriced. For 2 of us, with tip, it was $65...and that did not include any drinks or apps. Also, the overall evening was ruined bc the sound system was terrible and you couldn't hear the trivia host. We ended up leaving in the middle of round 2 (out of 4) bc we couldn't even play adequately bc of the sound. If you're going to host trivia, make sure your sound system is adequate. read more

TJ's is pretty good. Really enjoyed their burgers. The other three people I went with also all really enjoyed their food. The interior was cool and the service was good. This is not just TJ's specific, but I've noticed a trend of burger places in Pennsylvania where the burgers have been coming with chips instead of fries. The up-charge for fries was also a little high. In my opinion, this swap definitely lowers the value of the meal, making it a bit pricier for what it was, but everything was good. read more

We've been coming here a long time. They recently (within the past couple years) been making changes to their interior to give it a more modern ambiance. I will say that the old design with booths everywhere was a little dated, so no issues with the upgrades. Unfortunately, the menu prices went up significantly. My wife and I went to dinner there last week and noticed the increase in price. Had the quality of the food went up proportionately, I wouldn't be writing this review. That is not the case. Same food, much higher prices. My wife has always loved their ribs. We went there specifically because she wanted their ribs. However when the arrived, they were cold. Literally COLD in the middle. I had ordered the fish tacos and rhino fries as a side. I guess they did change their rhino fries as the added a layer of liquified cheese in addition to the melted cheese on top. Big fail. All the liquified cheese did was make the fries completely soggy. Back to the ribs....which were $27 for a half rack by the way. For that much, they better be damn good and prepared properly. We made our server aware and she said she would go talk to her manager. She came back and apologized (not her fault) and said that the were going to cook my wife a new half rack which is what she had ordered. She comes back 5 or so minutes later with the SAME PLATE OF RIBS THAT SHE JUST TOOK. WTF?????? Completely unacceptable..... So, she says she is going to bring a new order of ribs, then returns 5 or so minutes later with ribs that are almost too hot to touch. So they microwaved her ribs to warm them up. What happened to the new order we were told we would be provided? WOW!!!! By this time, I'm almost finished with my meal so our dinner date is ruined. I asked to speak with the manager and he did take her ribs off the bill which is the only thing saving this review from being1-star. I'm not sure we will be back with the huge increase in the food prices for the same damn food that isn't prepared properly. Fail. read more

We were quickly seated in this extra large restaurant. The place is dark, which detracts from the ambiance of the place. You almost feel like you're being interrogated when sitting at the tables with the pendant lighting. However, I will say the staff, especially Madison were super friendly and accommodating. The food was good, no complaints to speak of. The Reuben sandwich was spot on and flavorful. The peach berry breeze drink was refreshing and tasty. Stopped in here on a Tuesday night for dinner. I haven't been to this location in a while. Personally got their fried pickle chips as a shared appetizer. The pickle chips are really good. I also got the crab chowder which was awesome as well. The food was great. The deduction of a star came from the service. Call this picky if you want but as the server you walked past our table twice but didn't bother to check on us when we were both out of drinks. Sorry but you're taking a hit here. For the restaurant as a whole the place is still nice on the inside and well maintained. Not like some places I see that have been around for 20 years and the building is falling apart. Not here. I saw a lot of bad reviews on this place. So I had a little bit of a negative attitude when I came in the place. It was around 6 on Sunday night and we were seated when we walked in. Service was good at our table with no complaints. selection on the menu i found easy to find what I was looking for. Flavor of everything at our table was above average. 10/5/24 (Saturday) Return visit We were very hungry and in the area, so we decided to return to TJ Rockwell's. It was just about the end of happy hour and the start of dinner time. The parking lot was packed, but we got a nice spot. There was a 5 minute wait to be seated, so we enjoyed waiting in their outside seating area near the fire. Our waiter was very energetic and welcoming. He kept my husband's peach flavored Iced Tea flowing (I swear he drank like 6 cups total!) I had peach flavored lemonade and my daughter had milk. We ordered the absolutely delicious Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls and the tried & true Pretzel Log appetizers, but I took no pics because we gobbled them up when they arrived. Yes, we were that hungry. For our meals we ordered the Meatloaf stack, the Pierogies and Brats, and a Cheese Quesadilla. There was a lot of meatloaf and my hubby said it was good. He enjoyed the potatoes and vegetables that came with it. I really enjoyed the Pierogies. Just wish some sour cream came with them. I used the salsa that came with the quesadilla. The 2 big Brats were good. I used the mustard from the pretzel log to spice them up a bit. I didn't care for the Spatzle side. It had no flavor, no butter or gravy. I was expecting something more like an egg noodle, but this spatzle was more like gnocchi. Won't get that side again. The Cheese Quesadilla was delicious. All in all, the Atmosphere was energetic. I believe our bartenders name was Sam maybe not. you guys can timestamp to figure it out, she was very negative and not very nice. she didn't really check back in with us and when I paid she just threw my card and receipt back down on the bar without saying anything. even if you say "thank you for coming, enjoy your day" you don't even need to mean it but just say it. not a good experience, will not be returning. read more

Excellent experience w our party of 8 on a Friday night. Love the ability to make a reservation - takes so much stress out of eating out! Our server Derek was awesome. He knew the drinks and menu well and handled our large party and several others with ease. Never felt rushed and he answered a lot of questions. Drinks, apps and food came out fast. My chicken tortellini salad (my go-to here but haven't visited in 6+ yrs since we moved) was still on the menu and just as I remember it. Overall, we were happy with our food and Derek didn't miss a beat! My mom complimented Derek's service and he said he learned from his mom who also works there. We asked if she was there. Having dined at their Elizabethtown location before, we had high hopes for our meal. Upon arrival, it was apparent that the restaurant was facing the same staffing challenges as many others. Although there were visible empty tables, we were informed of a wait. Opting to sit at the bar, we ordered drinks and proceeded to explore the menu. My wife ordered the Flank Steak Street Tacos, which came topped with cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, and southwest ranch. Unfortunately, the flank steak had a considerable amount of gristle, rendering some portions inedible. Nonetheless, the flavors of the edible portions were enjoyable. I chose the Texas Club, a tempting combination of ham, turkey, Swiss, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, all nestled between toasted whole grain bread. The sandwich was perfectly made and absolutely delicious. We decided to upgrade from the included chips to fries and onion rings, albeit at an additional cost. While the food at T J Rockwell's is generally satisfying, the overall experience left room for improvement. With a total bill exceeding $60 for two drinks, sandwiches, and upgraded sides, it is undeniably on the pricier side. While the quality of the food justifies the cost to an extent, there are many other better options for the price. In conclusion, T J Rockwell's offers good food, but the attention to detail of the food preparation and the higher price point should be taken into consideration. read more

My boyfriends family and I visited TJ Rockwell's for my boyfriend's sister's birthday dinner. There were 7 of us in our group and we were seated in the back room. Other large groups of 7+ people also arrived at the restaurant for dinner service on Friday night. The menu has a good selection of sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and entrees. Prices were around $13-25/per person for sandwich and entree level meals. The restaurant serves alcohol and has several beach themed cocktails on the menu. One disappointment during our visit was that we weren't informed that happy hour didn't apply to the dining room when ordering alcohol until after we placed our orders. Happy hour only applied to patrons at the bar. We ended up paying $10 (full price) for our drinks that we thought would've been half-off. Some of us wouldn't have ordered the drinks if we knew it was going to be full price. Overall the food quality was average. There was nothing unique or extraordinary about our meals. I would visit this location again, but overall it was an average restaurant experience. read more

Do not go here for the seafood feast. Especially if you're used to Maryland crab houses. The waitress was rude and impatient. They bring you a plate with soggy corn warm coleslaw and rubber potatoes. Then they bring you a plate with 3-4 crabs, over cooked and dry clams with sort of edible steamed shrimp. There's no old bay on the seafood. They put it on the side. The crabs seemed to be boiled not steamed. It was very disappointing for $50 per person. Won't be going back. read more

I've been going to TJ Rockwell's for years. The staff is great, the food is great and the atmosphere is really nice, too. In the summer the deck is a nice place to relax. All in all, it's a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the food and the drinks! Always a variety of different beers from which to choose. read more
