Laced between cornfields and sunsets, this spot was a sweet find! All the food was delicious. Best ribs I've had in a while. Beautiful back deck. Good amount of food. Fast service. Ordered the blueberry beer and that was good. House brewed peach tea was very sweet. Fun with aunt Leslie and mom!!

So the Home Boss wanted her favorite "Mudslide" (Adult Beverage) so we decided we should eat dinner also! They Had a special Meatloaf Stack. Meatloaf Piled high on Mashed Potatoes and Covered in Gravy w a side of Broccoli seemed right up my alley while the better half ordered her Crispy Chicken Salad with extra poppy seed dressing. Romaine topped with shredded cheese, bacon pieces, tomatoes, croutons, crispy chicken. We were told 30-40 minutes wait upon arrival an we were seated in 20 and greeted by Kathryn W. Our server who was excellent an old school pleasure whose hospitable nature was rewarding!

We came here after waiting for 1hr 30 mins for a table at a close restaurant. I got the shrimp tacos and my wife got the brisket tacos. It was a Friday after 600pm place was placed. They got us seated right seats and got us drinks. The food was decent. We sat outside. The service was better than most places. Is the food amazing? No but the drinks were good and the atmosphere helped.

Came out for trivia with Cheaters Never Prosper (music trivia). My wife loves it here...I'm just "meh" about it. Tonight, got sat very quickly. Our waitress was quick to the table and very friendly. Took our order in a very timely fashion. No "hot sauce" except Tobasco? (Get Henchmen's- it's locally made) Coffee was really good. Got the Honolulu Chicken- delicious. Big portion. Wife had the potato soup (which she enjoyed) and the ham/cheddar pretzel sandwich (which she also enjoyed). While the meal was delicious...it was very overpriced. For 2 of us, with tip, it was $65...and that did not include any drinks or apps. Also, the overall evening was ruined bc the sound system was terrible and you couldn't hear the trivia host. We ended up leaving in the middle of round 2 (out of 4) bc we couldn't even play adequately bc of the sound. If you're going to host trivia, make sure your sound system is adequate.

TJ's is pretty good. Really enjoyed their burgers. The other three people I went with also all really enjoyed their food. The interior was cool and the service was good. This is not just TJ's specific, but I've noticed a trend of burger places in Pennsylvania where the burgers have been coming with chips instead of fries. The up-charge for fries was also a little high. In my opinion, this swap definitely lowers the value of the meal, making it a bit pricier for what it was, but everything was good.

We were quickly seated in this extra large restaurant. The place is dark, which detracts from the ambiance of the place. You almost feel like you're being interrogated when sitting at the tables with the pendant lighting. However, I will say the staff, especially Madison were super friendly and accommodating. The food was good, no complaints to speak of. The Reuben sandwich was spot on and flavorful. The peach berry breeze drink was refreshing and tasty. No complaints other than how dark it is in there.

In the middle are three gorgeous chandeliers, and at the heart of it all is the bar. We were seated upstairs with a view of the downstairs and it was absolutely amazing. For starters we got the oysters which were delicious!! We're from Maryland so we're very judgy with our oysters, but these were great. We've have oysters that were not great out this way so we were nervous, but Rubicon delivered excellence! Next we had the truffle toast special and their octopus. What an amazing pair. The octopus was an absolute delight. It wasn't over cooked and the yucca it was served with was a great compliment to it. The toast was so light and rich at the same time. The truffle added such beautiful depth and complexity without being physically dense. For our mains I had the filet special with mushrooms and my partner had the lamb. Both were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and served. I'll be dreaming of the mushrooms that were served with my steak for weeks to come. We finished off our dinner with the dark chocolate lava cake and two espresso martinis. Both of which were stunning. The cake was moist and not too sweet like some chocolate cakes can be and the espresso martini was perfectly balanced. Rubicon is worth the drive if you're not local and worth the money if you are. Definitely a place I will be recommending to my friends!!

My husband and I ordered the mussel appetizer which was delicious in the white wine reduction. The main meals consisted of lobster ravioli and a tagliatelle pasta. Though I felt the lobster ravioli needed a touch more of something or a bit of a kick, I very much enjoyed it! We ended the meal with a triple chocolate ice cream that was heavenly! Our server was excellent and kind and attentive to our needs. Though I am not usually a fan of a built in, mandatory 20% gratuity fee, the servers and staff definitely earned it and more! Will be back!

I stopped in for brunch this weekend with a friend after seeing their new menu and brunch specials…read moreon social media, and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the oxtails and grits along with a pitcher of pineapple mimosas. The grits were honestly some of the creamiest I've ever had! The oxtails were tender, very meaty, seasoned perfectly, and came with a delicious gravy. Everything was flavorful without being overly seasoned. And yes -- the mimosas were STRONG! I also ordered the strawberry stuffed French toast and bacon to take home, and it did not disappoint. The French toast was really good and, thankfully, not overly sweet. The service was another highlight. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. I also really appreciated the atmosphere. The music was playing, but at a comfortable volume where you could actually enjoy it and have a conversation -- not the "why did I come here?" level of loud that some brunch spots have. The location is also a plus. It's far enough away from the busiest part of 2nd Street that parking wasn't a hassle, and they have their own parking lot, which is a definite bonus in downtown/midtown Harrisburg. Overall, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. **Good food, strong drinks, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere.** I'll definitely be back to try more from the new menu!

The Review: Men in the Kitchen…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone. I am here to do a review!! It was a rainy Sunday, and I was working up a hunger while driving Uber for content. I went to three different spots before I finally found the place I should've gone to first. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are so good that I want to find another establishment just like it, but so far--at least on this day--nothing in the area can beat it. I don't know why I treat this restaurant like a good wife that a man might constantly cheat on but always returns to. I'm not saying that I actually cheat; I'm just using that for context! So, I found myself once again at Two Men in the Kitchen. Since it was Easter Sunday, they offered a buffet or a special limited menu. There was fish and chicken wings available, and I chose the wings. Since I don't eat meat often, I asked for their "House Sauce," and it is by far amazing. I paired the wings with the 3-cheese baked mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. I went for the sides first because I wanted to save the best for last--I already knew that house sauce was going to be incredible, especially on the chicken and greens eggrolls they have. The mac & cheese was great; it had a crunchy outside yet remained soft in the middle, and the cheese pull was amazing. The sweet potatoes were definitely homemade; I could tell because every slice was a different cut, which I appreciate because it proves they didn't come out of a can. Now for the best part: the chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly--neither overdone nor underdone, with no pink on the inside. Everything was pure. I did happen to taste a little bit of Old Bay on the wings, so I asked the chef if that was part of the secret seasoning. He said no, so maybe someone slipped some in by accident, but it didn't stop me from indulging. I also ordered one of their house special drinks--a Hennessy and rum cocktail. It was a very pretty drink, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Hennessy. Personally, I think it tastes like house keys or licking a brass knob when you're a kid. On my scale, the drink was a 2 out of 5; I just don't think rum and cognac should mix, but that's just my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely visit this place again and again, although sometimes it is hard to tell if they are open because of the heavily tinted windows. For those who know the area, this is the old firehouse in Harrisburg. I was told that on the weekends, they clear some tables to create a dance floor, which is a nice touch. There is plenty of bar seating and booths, making it a kid-friendly environment. The only thing I don't like--which applies to every restaurant on 2nd Street--is that it's very hard to find parking. The Scale * Location & Parking: (3/5) * Staff & Engagement: (4/5) * Food Consistency: (4.7/5)

One13 describes itself as upscale casual, which I think is an accurate description of the atmosphere. We started with the Clams Casino and She Crab Bisque. The Clams Casino were very good and quite different from what I'm used to. Rather than clams topped with bacon and breadcrumbs, One13 serves them more deconstructed, in a bucket with broth and diced bacon accompanied by toasted bread. My wife had the She Crab Bisque and enjoyed it. For our entrées, we both ordered the Salmon Caprese. They didn't ask how we wanted the salmon prepared, but I would estimate it was cooked to medium. The salmon was very good. One interesting part of the dish was the cauliflower purée, which was served cold. There was nothing wrong with it, but when something looks like mashed potatoes, your mind expects it to be hot, so the first bite caught me by surprise. My wife had a Pinot Noir with dinner while I had a Sauvignon Blanc, and both paired well with the salmon. Overall, we had a very good dinner at One13 Social and thought it was a great choice while staying in Carlisle. We parked in the nearby Comfort Inn parking garage, which also gave me a little more peace of mind about leaving the Corvette overnight. We would definitely return next year when we're back for Corvettes at Carlisle.

Both delivered. The duck had that perfect mix of richness and citrus, and the steak was cooked spot-on--though fair warning, it's a serious portion. The frites skip the usual cone presentation, but they're crispy and plentiful, so no real complaints. All in around $200 with tip for two, which felt fair given the quality across the board.
