Beautiful community cafe with yummy drinks and treats. A nod to Mexican coffee drinks and pastries like conchas. So good! Plenty of seating for various group sizes. Bathroom is locked and clean. Decor is lush and artistic. Barista was very nice. I think they often partner with local groups and orgs like the local college.
Saw this place on both google and yelp with 4.9 stars! Checked it out for breakfast, had the cafe de ola latte with oat milk which was amazing, husband had the drip coffee which he liked, the enchiladas breakfast is unique and delicious. Shared with hubby but could have eaten the whole thing to myself! Highly recommend! Staff is helpful and friendly. Nature vibes and plenty of seating!
A large coffee shop, though located in a rougher part of town (unhoused individuals were making transactions right outside). They serve standard drip coffee and other drinks, but pour-over options aren't available. Overall, an okay spot for coffee.
On the weekends/end of week, they have a restaurant do a residency of such for their brunch hours. The inside has lots of natural lighting with nice places to do work though weekends during brunch hours might be a bit louder and people seem to come and go more than might be the case during the week. Service was excellent and staff were patient as we were deciding on food.
I love the cappuccino pinolillo with a Latin American spice steamed into the milk was so delicious. As good a "cap" as any premo coffee shop around the PDX. The beans are Latin American sourced fair trade and organic per the barista owner. By the Park Blocks, Pearl District (Couch & NW Park Ave), large space to meet up with friends, enjoy the music and maybe work a little. Work more and enjoy more with the coffee buzzzzzz sip by sip it up! Enjoyed - location, service and coffee quality!
10/10 Mole Mocha and Chilaquiles from Ancestro! The Mocha had a good blend of chocolate and savory mole. It's delicious. The Chilaquiles with Chorizo was also handsdown the best chilaquiles I've ever had. Every single tortilla chips were crispy! The refried black bean blended amazingly with the crema fresca. Egg was perfectly cooked and the chorizo was so flavorful and not overly salty. Loved! The only letdown was the Corn Latte. Might just be because we're not used to that flavor profile though. Space was big but still packed on a weekend. Would definitely recommend you check them out.
This local coffee shop has a cozy vibe inside and plenty of comfortable seating making it the perfect stop to sit down and do some work or catch up with friends. After speaking with the barista, I found out that this shop has been numerous other businesses throughout the years including a gift store and a latin restaurant. The wifi is free and the drinks themselves are well made. I ordered an iced mocha which was the perfect blend between the sweet flavors of the chocolate with the sharper taste of the espresso. The location is prime as well being just around 5 minutes walking distance downtown from the Powell's books on Burnside and other local shops. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for a new place to sit down and get some work done or just want to try a different coffee shop near downtown Portland.
Amazing coffee and super friendly staff. The coffee was delicious. I asked where i could buy the beans, they let me know the owners friend roasted the beans and werent for sale. Then i had to buy an iced latte after i had already had a latte. Next time im in Portland i will stopping by for a cup
Cute ambiance and decor inside. Ordered breakfast taco - corn tortilla, fried egg, house chorizo and salsa. Hubby ordered Tamal Ahogado with chicken, poblano, Pamela, salsa verde and sour cream. And vanilla latte. This is a no nonsense place - family owned you get what you get and you don't get Sauces are unforgettably amazing. Best taco I've had.
This was a really cute little coffee shop. The service was great. The ambience was really cute. I love the live plants and the magazines just a cute aesthetic overall and the barista did pay close attention to our orders and what we wanted and the Drakes came out perfect. I would definitely come back again.

One of my all time favorites. This location is super close to Powell's and right off the park blocks. Jacob is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I've come in often over the last year and it's always nice to see him. He works very hard and deserves some crazy recognition. The mole mocha is something I truly believe everyone needs to try. The subtly of the blend is perfection. Similarly, Ancestro joins on weekends with some INCREDIBLE brunch options. (The Chilaquiles were awesome). Love the vibe of this cafe. It's quite large with larger group tables, smaller ones and some lounge seats. There are board games and chess boards available to use and the whole place is full of great plant life.
Service was amazing! Food was even better. A pop up serving Mexican food was going on while we were visiting and it was amazing! Would eat breakfast here everyday if I could. Got chilaquiles w chicken! Lattes were great and there were some games to play while you wait.

The service is awesome. They give great rec's on coffee and food. The chilaquiles will change your life. I now define my life as A.C. And B.C. After chilaquiles and before chilaquiles. You won't be disappointed. I heard great things about the crepes too. read more

Cadejo coffee is amazing in service, environment, and food!! The place looks really nice and inviting, open with lots of windows, green plants, games!! The person at the front was really welcoming and explained the menu and gave us recommendations. We got vanilla lattes that were delicious, the flavor was not overly sweet or bitter but still rich and smooth. I wish I'd thought to try a shot of espresso on its own. We ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo, very delicious. Ordered a green concha, delicious and kid approved. The chef and I think possibly manager too heard it was our first time and he brought us over beans and tortillas, it was phenomenal. I absolutely believe those were the best tortillas I've ever had. They taste undoubtedly handmade and so fresh and just incredible. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in everything that they make. Me and my family had a lot of fun playing the games while we ate and drank. It's a great place that I was really looking forward to and they hit it out of the park. I will now always stop by when I'm in town!! read more

I had the opportunity to visit Cadejo Coffee over a weekend trip. First things first: the mole mocha is incredible! Rich, unique, and absolutely worth the hype. The pastries are excellent too; I had a croissant with cajeta that was absolutely delicious. Beyond the coffee, what truly sets Cadejo apart is the energy, customer service, and genuine sense of community you feel the moment you walk in. On my last day in town, I experienced an unsettling incident nearby at a park and ended up inside the coffee shop shortly after. Without even needing to explain much, the owner and staff were incredibly attentive and supportive to everyone in the space, making people feel seen, safe, and cared for. One of the gentlemen working the counter (I'm assuming the owner) went above and beyond by offering to walk a woman out to make sure she was okay. It was a powerful reminder of what community really looks like; people looking out for one another with compassion & intention.Cadejo Coffee is more than just a great cup of coffee; it's a place rooted in care, awareness, and connection. I will continue to support this coffee shop for a long time, and I highly recommend that you do the same. read more
Tried this place two days in a row! The first day I stopped in for a second cup of coffee and was recommended their Spiced Coffee soda, which is the owners take on an espresso tonic. Very refreshing, flavorful and not too sweet. The owner was very personable and recommended I come back the following day since they host Ancestro on the weekends for a breakfast menu. We came back the following day and tried their cafe de olla and mole mocha lattes. I love trying unique drinks so I had to try the mole mocha and it was so good! Think less mole and more of a smoky mocha latte. The cafe de olla latte was good but on the sweeter side. We arrived an hour before Ancestro shop closed and they were sold out of their main menu items but we ended up trying their tres leches French toast topped with peaches and basil. Incredibly flavorful, the texture resembled a Mexican boudin cake and the toppings really elevated the toast. Would order again! The space was great to bring a large group of friends or even work remotely. They have board games and magazines so feel free to come early and leave late. read more
Loved both of my visits at Cadejo Coffee. They specialize in Mexican spices in their lattes. Great quality coffee and super cute ambiance inside the cafe. They are also happy to make any latte on their menu into a matcha drink. Efficient and friendly service, there was only one barista working both times I visited. Really enjoyed my visit and I would definitely come back next time I'm in Portland! read more

Good, deep, dark roast coffee. Creative drinks. Mexican-inspired breakfast menu. Kind of a sketch area in the Pearl, but honestly, most of that district is. The interior is very inviting, warm, full of plants and ample seating. A world away from the grime just outside of those walls. Ordered a cortado. It was beautifully made-smooth and silky, but still retaining that darkness of the roast. I'd imagine that dark roast lends itself wonderfully to the specialty mocha and mole coffee drinks. The barista/maybe owner was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. They even have pastries, including Mexican pastries (I spotted conchas)- the Mexican continuity is impeccable! Would return. I met a friend here for coffee mainly because of the location, and neither of us had been here before. It was a bright, warm spot to take refuge from the rain! It's a cute coffee shop that's not too small but not too large. There's one medium-sized open space with lots of 2- and 4- seat tables around the edges along the walls and the windows, and one large communal table in the center. I just got a mocha with oat milk and a butter croissant. Both were wonderful. But then after we sat down I saw someone bringing out these plates of gorgeous food that smelled amazing. Definitely going to try one of the hot breakfast plates next time!! They looked so delicious. Service is nice (very kind people!), moves at a good pace, and the prices are reasonable. When we were there mid-morning on a weekday, the customers were a mix of business meetings, adults meeting up with friends, and some families. The noise level was manageable and it was easy to hold a conversation here without feeling like we were competing with the music or other people, as I feel like we do in some other coffee shops. Street parking isn't as difficult to find here usually. I found a parking spot right across the street and my friend found one just around the corner. Glad to have another coffee shop in PDX to add to my coffee chat spots! read more

We love their coffee. Their pinolillo coffee is also an experience. It's so different. I recommend you give it a try. They have pop-up breakfast vendors and today we tried Ancestro, their latest pop-up. My wife had the breakfast taco and I had the Banadito (a Mexican dip sandwich). No words but OMG. (See my menu post for the description). When we're in Portland we try to visit if we can. read more

Friendly owner, fantastic coffee. Love the Latin inspired food and drinks, like cajeta danish and café de olla. Pastries daily, food pop up on the weekend. No gluten free pastries, but the chilaquiles and tamal on the pop up menu are made without gluten ingredients. read more

Cute cafe with friendly service. I like that it's Latino focused, so you get to try things you don't typically get at other cafes. For example, their special latte flavor Cafe de Olla is a mix of spices (pilloncillo) that's like cinnamon, etc., and twist of citrus (they dusted my latte with orange dust on top). Went on a Saturday morning and it was pretty bustling. The location can feel a bit sketchy and once you're inside it's like you're in a bubble from what's outside. Looking forward to coming back to try some of the food. read more

The food which we ate before even taking a picture was the chilaquiles with frijoles , when I tell you that was a new boom for my tastebuds , that was impressive . The coffee I loved since I visited about 7 months ago and still in love with it !!! I was reeled in with the coffee soda they had during the summer and will continue to come back !! Definitely recommend you coming here !! read more
