Just had the Caesar Special after not having been into the restaurant in a couple of years. It was better than I remembered. Admittedly, I asked for no peppers on mine. You can get a bag of chips or choice of side with a sandwich and drink for less than $9. That's not too bad considering that the meal tasted better than any meal I can remember having at Subway Sandwiches. The restaurant also has a little shopping area with some Italian groceries, including frozen raviolis. Today I say McConnell's ice cream (a premium brand) in their freezer section. I also spotted some refrigerated lasagnas for people to take and bake/warm for a meal at home. I needed to feed 40 people for a company function down south. Not only did they package everything perfectly so the sandwhiches didnt get soggy, the food was AMAZING. I'm really disappointed with my order two days ago. I have been ordering from Caesar's since they first opened and have always loved their sandwiches and service. This last order was almost $60.00 and wasn't even able to eat my food. I ordered an Italian combo and I got a pickled tongue so soggy I had to take half the bread off. Way too much dressing and meat sauce plus I don't like pastrami and that is in it. I ordered pickled tongue separate and red potato salad and minestrone soup. The soup was only broth and a couple of carrots (I'm not exaggerating) and I got the large! The potato salad was so hard I could not eat it. And it was only like two spoons full in the container. The two turkey sandwiches I ordered for family were ok except way too much mustard. I can't believe I wasted $60.00 didn't have anything I could eat plus delivery,taxes and tip was almost $20.00 of the bill. I don't know if I will buy there again, I only treats us once a month when I get money and this was a total waste of our treat night. read more

My favorite sandwich shop in town. I have a weekly pickled tongue sandwich (no peppers, cut in half! hehe) that on occasion they'd run out of... but for months now they've consistently had it available. Yay! Pickled tongue isn't for everyone, but if you like garlic and zesty, marinated flavors they nail it. They're pretty consistent about the flavor, occasionally --rarely--it will be a little more tongue and a little less pickled. My second favorite sandwich is their Caesar's Special. Lots of flavors in this sandwich that compliment each other well. For a long time this was my #1... the salami, the cheese, the sauce. Yum! This eventually became my picky eater of a son's favorite. My husband likes to order the Combination sandwich, my youngest gets the Roma. I always like to have my sandwich cut in half, something about starting from the middle, you start with the best stuff first and by the time you reach the ends you're satisfied :) For those wondering -- There's two (cousins?) Caesar's in town.. Caesar's and Caesar's II. THIS is Caesar's, with the other shop on Niles. The relative is Caesar's II on Wible and now where Togo's was on Chester & 18th. First time using Uber eats today. I decided on ceasars. My coworker and I ordered a turkey sandwich to split. When it came it had literally one slice (not even joking) of turkey. 4* peppercini rings, we counted them. And shredded lettuce. We were shocked. I have never been so disappointed in a sandwich. Good sandwiches. They are plain with simple quality ingredients. The pasta is good. Ravioli is the best. The lasagna is like layered past with sauce. No other products stuffed inside like cheese or ricotta. Get the combo. It has roast beef, pastrami, and pickled tongue. Major yum! read more

I really like this spot for lunch , the turkey sandwich is my go - to , the ranch pasta is a MUST and looove the deserts , I really like how with the meals you get a choice of chips or pasta/ salad , they have lasagna and ravioli to go in the refrigerator and they will warm it up for you as well , only thing is if you do not like a lot of oil/greasy food I wouldn't do these pastas , but overall they are really fast to get your food and they are super friendly! read more

Sandwiches are good. This place sells them. That is basically it. It wasn't magic in between two slices of bread so it's just Okay to me. On the other hand: Get the Mediterranean pasta salad if you like feta and pesto. It is very very tasty!! read more

Disappointed!! To make a long story short, they miscalculated orders/reservations for their customers. Making the place look like Disneyland on Holidays. Service is totally inconsistent. Sometimes it's fabulous, and other times I've just walked out. The best time to go is in the morning before 11:00 as the owner is usually there. If you go late in the afternoon, especially on Saturday, you will likely encounter some surly teenaged employees who appear to hate their jobs. read more

I've been going here for 30+ years. Started when they were on Niles. Not only are sandwhiches amazing but so are the platters and employees.

I hated driving to the Eastside to get a Caesar's sandwich, so the Brimhall location is much appreciated. The sandwiches are amazing, but I stick to the Caesar's Special. Their clam chowder in a bread bowl is amazing. Although it's no Splash Cafe, it's as good as it gets in Bakersfield. I only wish they would butter and toast the bread bowl. read more

Caesar's catered my wedding at Park Place venue this Oct 2017. The food was amazing. When we did our food tasting, they sat with us and let us taste everything and then take it home. They were very professional and their food was delicious. Our wedding guest kept raving about how delicious the food was especially their alfredo pasta. Great place to grab lunch and eat outside on a nice day by the fountain. Love their fresh sandwiches, soups, sides & salads! They also serve some pasta dishes as well. Personally I love their veggie sandwich and clam chowder. There is usually always a line, but the line and wait go by super quickly. Bakersfield doesn't have a shortage of good delis but this one happens to be close to my office and serves delicious meatball subs. Their "Italian Sandwich Special" is also quite good. Very good deep pit bbq sandwich with salsa. It's not like your normal bbq sandwich. Prices seem a tad higher than expected but ok. Only downside, no kids menu so the kids easy the same size sandwich adults do. If there was a kiss menu, it would be a 5 star. read more

My family of four ordered the caesar's sandwich, pickled tongue sandwich, ravioli, marinated mushrooms and marinated artichokes. I felt the Caesar sandwich was a little bland, my husband really liked the pickled tongue. The kids devoured the ravioli. My favorite was the artichokes by far, but I've never met an artichoke that I didn't like. The sandwiches at Caesar's are consistently tasty and fresh. I usually have their "combo special" which features several of their excellent deli meats including tongue. All tongue is kind of intense, but mixed with the others is magical. Getting in and out in 30 minutes or less is a plus. Good selection of side salads and soups, as well. read more
