    Italian wine selection

This place is definitely a hidden gem in Bakersfield! I got the Caesars special and it hit the spot! They also have awesome wine selection.

    My smoked turkey sandwich!!!

Even here a few times! I've only had the smoked turkey sandwich but it's always amazing. So clean and flavorful! Really decent prices! Today I got the side of macaroni salad and it was also pretty good! The store is always clean! The only knock is the staff isn't very friendly or maybe but just not in my visits!!

I have been coming to this location for the past 15 years and they are hands down my favorite sandwich in all of Bakersfield. Caesar's deli has quality meats you can taste and their flavors here are so good! There are two sandwiches here that I can not reccomend enough, the Caesar's special and the deep pit beef sandiwch. Both sandwiches are a 10 out of 10 and are so damn good! Of course the special is a cold sandwich and the deep pit is a hot sandwich so keep that in mind if your looking to order. This last time I went with a deep pit and that sandwich is HUGE. Packed with so much flavorful beef and the bbq sauce that is paired with this sandwich is amazing. I was so full when I was done eating, for $11 bucks, not bad at all. Overall, make sure to give this place a try. They are a Bakersfield Staple and it shows in their food. Thank you Caesars deli for all th years of great delicious food, I appreciate you guys! Till next time.

Their sandwich was great! I loved the bread and fresh ingredients. I could've used a little. Ore oil and vinegar, but maybe the bread would've gotten soggy. I definitely think they know what they're doing! The red potato and blue cheese salad was really good! It had red onions, blue cheese, and had a great bite to it, a couple of the potatoes were underdone, but it was still enjoyable. It was very busy, but the food came out fast! I loved looking at everything they had for sale such as meats and cheeses, can't wait to go back and shop! It was inviting and cute. My husband was disappointed I didn't bring home the pickled tongue. I'll have to post about that in my next review!

    Waiting for my CYOS.

First time here... The place is really cute on the inside, and they offer some Italian specialties, like desserts, pasta, and tomatoes apart from the sandwiches and other foods. I wasn't sure what to order, however I had a specific sandwich in mind. I wanted something with Mortadella and cheese. The staff at the front counter was very friendly, and I told her that it was my first time in here, and asked her if there was such a thing where I can create my own sandwich. And she said that there is and it's called a CYO. I ordered a mortadella and smoked Gouda cheese sandwich on a toasted sesame hoagie roll with lettuce, mayo , and oil and vinegar. Was sliced on the thicker side, not the thin, deli style, which I love you! It is very good quality and very tasty. The cheese was not that great, so I took it out of my sandwich. They must make their own bread here... Because it was amazing. It was soft and crispy on the outside, and on the inside is very soft and fluffy and soaked up the mayo and the oil and vinegar nicely. The sandwich can be easily shared if you're looking for a snack and if you're hungry, it's quite filling. They do not skimp on the meat!! Because the bread is fresh and thick, the sandwiches would hold up pretty good on a road trip. Enjoy!

Pickled tongue sandwich marinated mushrooms. The only thing that could improve it would be Pyranees French Sourdough rolls.

My husband and I did date night there often when we were dating. The owners were so sweet and knew of Me. I moved out of Bakersfield 6 years ago. I was visiting my parents in Bakersfield two weeks ago who had never been to uricchios and I couldn't wait to take them to dinner there! I called ahead the day before and made reservations for myself, my mom and dad, and my husband. We sat down and the place was empty on a Saturday, just a couple tables occupied. My mom ordered a Cesar salad and it was warm! We waited an hour and 15 minutes and our food never came out. No one came and gave us an update but we kept getting sent numerous appetizers "on the house". Sodas were watered down. Bread was mediocre. Finally after an hour and 15 minutes we got up and left. Whatever was happening in the kitchen was not a good sign! They appeared to be struggling despite being not busy at all. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant, my husband and I had to get in n out on the grapevine for dinner. I was so embarrassed that I even recommended for my family and my husband to do a dinner at uricchios, much less RAVED about it. I'm so sad what has happened to my favorite bakersfield restaurant, but all good things come to an end. I won't ever be back

We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. The place is beautiful.

One of my favorites on their menu is The Luigi's Wedge Salad. A small one is a great bargain, and it's not exactly small. It's the perfect combination of lettuce, Prosciutto, onions, avocado, and cherry tomatoes in a delicious creamy basil salad dressing. Make sure and ask to have it chopped, and get a side order of pickled tongue to top it all off. It's a combination made in heaven. The Luigi sandwich is also another real favorite. Match it with a Peroni on tap, and just sit back and enjoy life. The patio out back is a great place to dine too. Every single person who works there is as nice as can be, and the deli next door is stocked with lots of fine foods and wine, and they have an excellent selection of various types of bleu cheese. Needless to say, Luigi's is a real fave.

The deep fried ravioli with the dipping sauce is delicious, not going to lie. My steak was a tough. The pasta was very al dente, something neither my daughter nor I are used to and now that we have tried al dente I can say I we are not fans. Shrimp scampi was a tad salty and oily, but the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Nothing special about the desserts. I am a huge fan of carrot cake and tiramisu and both were very underwhelming, especially the lemon tiramisu. The raspberry tea was good. The coconut shrimp were good. The egg thingy with peas was surprisingly delicious the flavor was there and it was cooked to perfection. The white pasta sauce was very bland. I have to admit the seasoning on both the chops and the steak was beautiful but it just carried too much char flavor and as I said meat was tough. Would I go back? Open since the '70s, this restaurant has been serving Italian comfort food to locals for decadea, and judging by how packed it was when we arrived at 5:00 p.m., people clearly still love it! The décor looks like it hasn't changed much since the restaurant first opened, but honestly, that's part of the charm. It's warm, cozy, and inviting, with individual booths in the main dining room and a back room that's perfect for larger parties. I ordered a glass of Sangiovese and the spinach manicotti, while my husband went with the house Chianti and chicken Parmesan. His chicken Parmesan was good, but my manicotti was definitely the winner of the night! You could immediately tell the manicotti was homemade. The pasta shells had that fresh, delicate texture you just don't get from the store bought kind.
