Shit in all the water that was given
    Mark V.

I had a bad first experience at this place. I live around the corner and figured I give it another chance. I first walk and and an apparent regular was talking very loud across the entire breakfast bar. Standing right next to him I ask if 2 of the empty seats next to him were open. Someone else replies yes (he is still talking). As I go to pull out the seat for my other that's when he stops and and needs to inform us Someone is there. It was disappointing that the place allows for such loud people for others enjoyment. We sit in the back area. The waitress gets my drink wrong. Smallest glasses and my cup sat empty for 10 minutes. She was too busy doing her side work and talking to people at the breakfast bar. During our visit we had to be very repetitive on items we ask. We felt very ignored and if you don't like burnt bacon or toast, let them know. Also every time they brought water their were small items floating in it. In closing, there are other places with better service in the area. Twice this has happened. I won't be back.

    BYOB Saturday fun!

I always enjoy eating here and it's my new favorite place to grab weekend brunch with friends. BYOB is a plus !

I came here with a big group and it took over an hour to recieve all of the food. I ordered pancakes and they were very good, however I also ordered extra powdered sugar and it did not come. Understandably though, because of the group of people I'm with. Most of the people I'm with seem to love their food (those who have it!). It is a cute small café, though I wouldn't suggest that you bring a group here. Overall a cute small spot for a lazy morning brunch!

Came here for the first time last week. I had one question as soon as the appetizers arrived....why had I not tried this place sooner! We were a group of twelve and a few apps were ordered for sharing...the clams casino, stuffed mushrooms, blackened shrimp, all of them absolutely scrumptious! Salad (fresh and crisp)or soup was offered with the entree and the group enjoyed a mix of both. Bread was served with the salad and that's probably the only thing lacking flavor/freshness...but please don't base a fantastic meal on the bread. For my main course I ordered the chicken & shrimp piccata which was perfectly seasoned. My husband had the pork oso bucco which was also ordered by a few others at the table and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Seafood Paella, seafood casserole and chicken parmigiana were among the other dishes at our table and there was not a speck of food left on anyone's plate!...please don't think that portions are small....in fact it's quite the opposite! Everyone just couldn't stop enjoying the delicious food! Oh, and of course we had to try a couple desserts....the chocolate cake is a must! The icing on the cake...(no pun intended), it's byob at Café Christo!

I think the ihop in Enfield is well above most others, but The Farmers House was something else entirely. The food was so good and the kids talked about it all day. The staff were quick and friendly, but busy. We all got something different (French toast, an omelette, and kids pancakes) and each of the three of us were very pleased with our choices. They don't do anything here you haven't had before, but they do everything very well. The only thing I could say was not great, and I hate complaining about things like this, is the parking. I know that's got little to do with the restaurant itself, but it is not the easiest spot to get in and out of, especially with everything going on at the X lately.

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!

The house hot sauce had a different kick to it. It was vinegar based and it didn't layer the taste of the food but added some spice without the burn to the food. The place was quaint.

Comfortable, great service, fair prices, great grub (and big portions). Recently stopped in for breakfast with two friends. I had a hash and cheese omelet... 4 eggs, generous amount of housemade CBH, cheddar, and toast...all for $13.99. All 3 of us had containers to go. I had a view of the open kitchen. Six employees pumping out orders like a well-oiled machine. Minimal wait time. Two things. Cash only (ATM on-site) and smallish parking lot. Easily 5-star worthy
