The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant, though the place could use some sprucing up. The food was typical diner quality; based on the reviews I expected to be wowed, and I wasn't. (When we asked our waitress what she recommends she actually told us that the hash comes out of a can...) But my biggest beef with this place is that they don't serve real maple syrup. At all. This is one of the best breakfast spots in Agawam and western MA. The cook and owner is very friendly and caring and makes sure she puts that little bit of extra in each and every one of her dishes. Friday night dinners are really popular and delicious fish! read more

Had to give it an updated 4 stars out of 5 because one of their staff members is continuously rude, especially over the phone. The owner MaryJan is a doll, and most other girls are sweet. Just this one person who apparently does not it into the mix decides to give blunt attitude for no reason. We get take out every weekend. This is my favorite little joint in Agawam. I'd passed by a few times and it seems like a really simple place, too simple to intrigue anyone from the outside. However, inside feels homey and warm. We went on a Saturday morning, there was no wait, though there was decent traffic in there. The service was friendly and inviting from the start. We were greeted with a smile. We sat down and took our time ordering as it was our first visit, the wait staff was patient with us. Anyway, food finally comes and it's even better than we expected it to be. You can tell it's made with care, instead of just throwing some stuff in there and calling it an omelet. We took our time eating and drinking coffee and didn't feel rushed once. A small breakfast joint with a small menu but ther staff is friendly and accommodating! Had the eggs Benedict and unfortunately the hollandaise was broken but their home fries were great. My friend was happy with her choices! There were a few regulars which is a good sign, but I think I'll stick with my regular places! read more

Usually love this place. Always fresh and tasty meals. Last night, however, was less than enjoyable. I ordered my favorite fish and chips. Her batter is always nice and light and fish is fresh. Fish last night appeared to be the end of the fish where it gets thin and cut into 4 small pieces. Fried it practically disappeared. The batter was the meal not the fish. One of my favorite places for any meal of the day. Cant beat the service, food or prices. Owners always behind the grill and if you ask nice you can get anything on the menu regardless of time of day. I get a kick out of the people who try to use the bathroom during six flags season and leave bad reviews because they got shut down. No one is fooled by the "I was totally going to buy food" routine, be an adult and quit playing pretend. read more

After looking at colleges in the area my family and I looked for a little diner to get some breakfast and we came across this place the service was great and the food was even better talk to the owner afterwards it's very tough to have a business across the street from a amusement park and people come in and use their bathrooms and they don't want to eat food being self-employed myself it's very tough to do all the work and make everyone happy so I wanted to write a beautiful review for this business owner I will definitely recommend this place to any my friends that come in this area read more

Fantastic breakfast. I had a veggie omelet - all fresh veggies, great home fries and a perfectly grilled English muffin. Everything was cooked to Perfection and came out piping hot. The waitstaff were excellent and the owner came out to greet us as she hadn't seen us before. Nice touch! They have dinner on Friday nights with BYOB. Limited menu but something for everyone I think. We'll be back to try that as well read more

There's only one thing you need to know about Bobby J'z: get the corned beef hash. Best I've ever had. Doesn't matter what form you get it in whether it's by itself as a side, with eggs & toast & home fries, in an omelet or as an Irish Benedict. read more

Enjoyed breakfast on a Sunday morning with eggs, toast home fries and coffee. A little skimpy on the 3 egg omelet but everything tasted great. We were greeted by the waitress and the cook in back when we walked in. They were busy with takeout orders through our stay but still very attentive to the eat-in customers. read more

I can't believe the staff rudeness in this place. My sisters and I were looking for a place to have a bite. The first things that comes out out the staff's mouth was there are no public restrooms and people are sitting eating. Horrible customer service. I guess they think everyone going to six flags needs to know they don't have public restrooms that wasn't what we were going there for. Unfortunately they lost 3 customers. read more

I went to this little whole in the wall restaurant , the staff was horrible , not friendly nor welcoming. i was waiting for a big group of friends to arrive so we can all go to fright fest at Six flags. I enter this joint no greeted me despite one girl being behind the counter doing nothing. then i asked if i can take a look at the menu. which none of them replied to, so i took the menu myself and went thru it. i asked the girl behind the counter if i could use the restroom to which she replied : Do you know what you want to order ? are you eating in ? i said i dont kniw what ism going to order yet but im waiting for a group we may all eat here , she says to me : i need to know if youre eating in because you can only use the bathroom if you're eating in. what a stupid blonde she was , i was coming here with more that 20 people to eat at their little crappy restsurant and she wont let me use the bathroom unless i order something first . this place has low quality customer service and their staff is not hospitable nor kind. This place deserves " zero " starts . Please save yourself an unpleasant experience here . I walked in to grab a quick bite this mornings with some of my friends. I walked in and the first things that came out of this older woman's mouth to us was the following: 1) this is a sit in Restaurant 2) the bathrooms are in the back My friend and I looked at each other in disbelief at the lack of customer service. Even a customer she was speaking with laughed nervously at the conversation. She assumed we were just going in without purchasing food. She did not even greet us and had a condescending tone as she spoke. We personally felt like we were being discriminated against. I have no interest in ever stepping foot in this place again. By the looks of it, the place looked pretty dry to me anyways. Some folks should not work in customer service. read more

The food was delicious, and the coffee was extremely good and our coffee was always quickly refilled. The over medium eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes were yummy yummy. The toast, though, was not hot when we got it and the butter was not melted. The bacon could have been cooked a bit longer too - will extra crispy next time. Menu says they have cereal but they don't. The dishes were spotless. FYI this review was split between people in my party. read more

The service was delightful and the food was quite delicious if I must say and I would recommend to anyone.

I stopped in late morning for breakfast, and brought my computer with me to get some work done. I was treated like a nuisance! They told me that even if I ordered food, I couldn't hang around and work, despite there being exactly ONE customer in the place. And definitely could not plug in a computer. I don't enjoy being treated badly, especially when I am paying customer in an empty restaurant. I would NEVER go here again and will tell all my friends to stay away as well. I went one door down to Ferrentino's pizza and they treated me SOOO well, even trying to find me a table near an outlet and telling me to stay as long as I like!! read more

Great place to grab breakfast before a long day at six flags. Basic menu in a relaxed environment. Good food with friendly and efficient service every time I go. The prices are very reasonable... even low. Considering the cost inside the park... this is an amazing way to fuel up and wake up before getting ripped off across the street. I highly recommend Bobbie J'z whether you're going to Six Flags or not, but that is the only reason I've ever been to Agawam. read more
