food: A+ waitresses: A+ being seated and being acknowledged by the front staff: F. i hate saying this because ive grown up going to Reids. i love it and always will. my friend and i came in today and put my name in for reservations. we wait outside and another patron kindly came up to us to let us know that people standing inside the restaurant were being seated first. so we go and wait inside. no one said anything to us. Especially the older lady with orange hair, who was seating the people who walked right in front of us. she had short orange hair and an unwelcoming demeanor. we were not impressed with her customer service at all. she only acknowledged the people she knew and ignored us for a good 45 minutes. we literally stood there for 45 minutes curious as to why she wouldnt even look at us. a simple "hello well be right with you" or something along the lines of that would have been suffice. even after finally being seated, i never recieved a text from the automated waiting list saying they were ready for my party. im discouraged about the last few times ive gone here. only because of the service and inaccurate wait times. this is not the first time this has happened unfortunately. read more

Stopped in recently for our monthly rotating breakfast, w four friends. Very, very busy eatery, but with ample parking. In that we were a group of 5, we waited for about 20 minutes until a table large enough to accommodate us was available. I opted for a Greek omelet (Feta cheese and spinach). Came w a choice of home fries or breakfast potatoes, and toast. My friends had various omelets and French toast. Overall, my food was very good. Everyone agreed that Reid's was a 4-star eatery. Service was excellent. Prices reasonable. Considering the crowd, our orders came out quickly. Last September, Reid's added a 25 cent surcharge for each egg (a 3 egg omelet cost an additional 75 cents). That no longer applies, reflecting the current market. Recommended. read more

A good local breakfast spot. Nothing too fancy, but decently tasty breakfast fare. On the hunt for good breakfast spots, and always a sucker for a good french toast. We opted to go in a completely different direction and look into a place over the border. This place came up with a lot of good reviews, so I decided to make a trek. The place is a small shop at the end of a shopping plaza. The inside is cosy and homey, though they were popular enough to set up an extended dining area in the back. Coffee was nothing special, but they kept the cups flowing which I appreciate. being predictable, I got the french toast with warmed apples and real maple syrup. No ice cream, place didn't offer it. Didn't want the whipped cream but it came with it anyways. The apples were cooked well, tossed in cinnamon and needed just a little sweetness to them. the french toast was cooked well, custardy and cinnamon crusted. A nice bite, but needed the syrup to provide the sweet. Girlfriend got poached eggs with hollandaise. the eggs were cooked well but the hollandaise was a little bland. the eggs were good with toast though. It was a good breakfast, especially if you're in this area. It's not a trek-worthy spot, but it's good food done right. Feel free to give this place a try! read more

Heavens to Betsy what a feast! After a long night of work and was in the mood for pancakes, my go to spot was closed so while in the area I said why not and stopped here. Three very large blueberry pancakes, three scrambled eggs with American cheese, and some sausage patties filled me right up. I want a dessert but they don't have any, sad face. I did taste a chocolate chip or two in my pancakes, makes me curious on how clean the flat top is or how close the blueberries and chocolate chips are. Very friendly staff, everyone had smiles on their face which could be seen through their masks. Went here on a whim as a half way point to meet a friend and I can't wait to go back! It looks so small from the outside but there is a lot more seating than you think. Right when you walk in there's an iPad to put your name and party size and it gives you an estimated wait time. They then text/call you when your table is ready. We waited just over 20 minutes at 830 on a Sunday which I didn't think was bad at all! They take cash or card. The wait staff there was exceptional. Very friendly and personable. I had the biscuits and gravy which came with 2 eggs cooked how I wanted and homefries. I chose deep fried home fries and what a great choice! They were cooked perfectly and so delicious. The biscuits and gravy was so yummy and my over medium eggs were cooked exceptionally. I also ordered a chocolate chip pancake because I couldn't decide between sweet and savory. My friend had an omelet and she loved it. This sounds absolutely ridiculous but the Diet Coke was the best soft drink I've ever had. I don't know what it is about their ice - but it was beyond exceptional. It felt almost like a Diet Coke slush and it was just amazing. It is in a shopping plaza in the back corner. There is currently a 0.25$/egg surcharge which is not surprising with eggs current price so that didn't bother me one bit. There is a super cute gift shop in the plaza that we perused after breakfast or you could ever peruse while you wait depending on the time you're there! I cannot wait to go back to Reid's corner! My wife and I placed a call ahead on their website. As e we pulled into the lot we received a notification we were ready. We went in and had to wait for the party of 6 ahead of us. We waited a good 5 minutes of standing there before a tall blonde woman asked did we check in, we said yes and who we are. The woman behind us walked up to her and suddenly that party of 4 were getting seated. We waited another 5 minutes before she came back and asked if we checked again. We told her we already have her our name and she began to argue with my wife. Another waitress said come with me. My wife did say how rude the blonde was for ignoring and skipping over us. Suddenly the blonde waitress yells Ma'am and physically grabbed my wife by her shoulder to pull her back. I snapped at her to get her hands off of my wife. The blonde waitress said well she didn't need to be rude. I told her to keep her hands off of my wife. We left and immediately called to speak to the owner. I told him that his employee committed a battery on a customer. He said he'll speak to her but nothing can be done because it's his sister-in-law. This place is awesome! A bit expensive, but worth it for food that's great quality and cooked to near perfection. Seriously, one of the best corned beef hash plates I've ever had. It's always busy, so you know that locals already have this places staked out. My grandfather lives right down the road so this is our spot anytime I'm in in town. Diner food isn't something that wants to be messed with all that much, but there's something to be said about pancakes done just right to where they're not so big that the middle doesn't cook correctly, or too small that you know the owner is trying to save a buck. Had a delicious western omelette (less onions). It was one of the better omelette's I have had in a very long time. I would put it slightly ahead of Reins Deli in Vernon. The raisin bread toast was thick and very tasty, coffee flavorful and service was friendly as expected. Get there early for breakfast, it is a smaller place so seating is limited. read more

Never had to wait more than 5 to 8 minutes. Breakfasts of all New England dishes waiting for you. Lunch? Big burgers and a wide variety of sandwiches- my fave is the corned beef Reuben. The vibe is great, the food is okay. Prices...too high. There bacon is the crunchiest most well-done bacon i have ever eaten, and i have had it multiple times. Oh and coffee is $2.99. Too expensive. The entire pot of coffee is not even worth that. You better just go next door and get a Dunkin' coffee before going to Reid's Corner, would save you a few bucks. However, the servers are extremely nice and the "Mom/Pop" vibe is real. I think if they dropped the price a dollar or two on some items, this could make a great difference. read more

Great Scrambler. Eggs over easy on a tasty pile of ham, bacon, sausage, potatoes and cheddar. There was so much I had leftovers for the next day breakfast. If you bring up the temperature in the microwave in slow and steady increments then it's reheated perfectly. Had to wait in line for about 10 minutes but it was well worth it. The staff is very good and efficient even when they were slammed. Plenty of parking. Go early. read more

We chosen to eat here for breakfast/brunch two weeks now, enjoying it both times. The staff is delightful, taking good care of you. Their food is basic but good diner-like food with no frills or fuss. What we really like is that you can get lunch foods at anytime since eggs upset my husband's stomach (and he avoids sweets like pancakes). So we can go at 9 am and order him a mother-clucker chicken sandwich or a chipotle burger w fries while I have a more traditional breakfast of an omelette or bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. read more

Agree with what many fellow reviews and say don't go here if you are on a diet, but if you are not- go! I don't go out to breakfast often, but we seriously enjoyed this place. Under order, because the portions are gigantic. Pancakes are wonderful and airy. Corned beef hash was very good (but I urge you to order it with a friend and split it ). The food took like 15-20 minutes to arrive, which was kind of a long wait, but we didn't mind. I think the kitchen was backed up. Your choice of skillet Home fries with peppers and onions or deep fried. I suspected canned hash from the first bite, I asked, and it was confirmed, but at least they were honest, which was appreciated. They told me people actually preferred the canned hash over any homemade. I'm the opposite. Eggs were perfect, toast, bacon, and my wife raved about the omelette. I'd definitely go back. I liked the vibe of this place. If they really wanted to put their name on the map they should offer an authentic Traditional Irish breakfast, which I'd have no issue paying $15 for. read more

The service was so terrible, and I am a frequent Reid's customer. Several groups were seated before us even though they came in after us, specifically one man who knew the owner and servers who came in 30 minutes after us and told people he was "basically VIP". After we got seated, the waitress couldn't even bring us the right drinks, and we only ordered coffee and a water. Once we got our food, the home fries were burned, but overall the rest of the food was pretty good, the only reason I didn't give Reid's 0 stars. read more
