Quiche of the day plus roasted potato special
    Julie M.

Very small and cute cafe that we just happened upon when our first choice for breakfast was closed. And I am glad we did! Not just for the food, but also the entertainment of the absolutely ridiculous people in line with us. Because the cafe is so small, they have a rule (and it is posted on ever table) that you cannot sit before you have ordered and have a table number. We were second in line and there were two women behind us, clearly panicking that they might not be able to sit (note, this was a lovely spring morning and there are also tables outside). One of the women runs over and sits at a table in the corner and is immediately told by an employee she has to get up. She runs back to the line where she and her friend complain bitterly about this for a few minutes before they leave. They were next to order! And there were three tables open at this point! Anyway it was a good laugh to start my day. I ordered the Quiche of the day, which was spinach, artichoke and feta, along with a side of roasted potato. The quiche was good, but the potatoes were where it was at! They were a special and I wavered about ordering them but I am glad I did, they were great, if they are offered again I highly recommend getting them. If you need a breakfast place, try Cafe M, just remember to stay in line and not poach a table before you order!

I came here and got a matcha they have indoor and outdoor seating and pastries you can pick from and breakfast items as well which looked great. I just ordered a matcha. The matcha was not the best and it was very strong and grassy instead of smooth.

Overall, it was alright. Waited over 30mins for 2 simple breakfast sandwiches but was to be anticipated given the summer rush. We were the only ones in line to order so I expected it to be quicker or someone from the staff to mention when they walked by several times "foods coming" but they didn't. Food wasn't bad- fluffy eggs and flakey croissant but between the birds trying to steal our food and the long wait, idk i'd come back. No complaints or areas of improvement, just felt overall underwhelmed.

Cutest little French style café. Serving coffee, tea, mimosas, wine, and various quiches. Service was polite and friendly! I ordered a baguette sandwich which was quite large which came with a cup of fresh fruit!

This place was packed when we went! But the service was still amazing. And the breakfast sandwiches were perfect. Love the location! And the view of the down town street area!

Charming Café in the Heart of Savannah! Café M is such a gem in downtown Savannah. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, and the food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite is the quiche. Definitely has the French vibe going on. I absolutely adore the owner. It's the perfect spot to grab a coffee or light bite while soaking in the beauty of the city!

Very cute location. Everything was very fairly priced, I got the hot tea and a ham and cheese baguette. The baguette was huge, my boyfriend and I split and it and it was more than enough food. It was counter service, but everyone was very nice.

I liked this place! About $12 with tip for a hot small vanilla latte and a raspberry cream cheese croissant to go. Cute lite cafe that smelled delicious as I walked in. Very busy for 1pm on a Saturday but would recommend and would be back if a local!

This was a cute little cafe right next to the hotel I was staying in Savannah. I got an iced coffee with heavy cream and sf vanilla syrup. The cafe looks very dainty and from old times. The staff was nice, very quick and attentive but busy. I haven't tried the food yet but it seems like it's always busy so try to get here early for a table. They do make everything made to order so please be patient.

We had an interesting experience at Cafe M. They are supposed to open at 8 but it seemed like somebody was late to work and one girl was scrambling to set up all the tables outside and get the doors open finally around 8:15. We ordered 2 breakfast croissants and iced coffee to take for a picnic down by the riverfront. It took 25-30 minutes for our food to come out. They were obviously behind missing one person. Once we got our sandwiches, we went down to the water but were immediately swarmed by little black bugs that bite. So we scarfed down our sandwiches and went on our way. The croissants were really tasty and fresh. I enjoyed my ham egg and cheese croissant and my husband got a bacon, egg and brie one. Overall, this would be a great spot to try while you're in Savannah!

Had a very long wait - granted it was a Sunday morning but the food and drink line are the same so you can end up waiting a long time even for a to go coffee. After a long wait a $8 iced coffee became soup the second we walked out of the cafe. They poured the espresso for the latte over ice and then didn't add more ice. So it was expensive and not even iced coffee. Disappointed because there are so many good reviews but with the amount of coffee shops to try in the area I won't come back for my next visit.

Really enjoyed this quaint cafe that has found a little nook of peace among the downtown area. It's located right off the love lock bridge on Bay Street, so you have to find street parking. My friend and I went and ordered a couple of hot beverages and breakfast here. She got a breakfast sandwich, which came with a small mixed green salad. I ordered the veggie quiche that also came with a salad. The quiche was really really good. I also ordered a London fog with oat milk and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back cause it was quite nice.

    Good times.

Sweet brunch find in Northern Savannah on the River. Indoor and Outdoor seating near the Love Lock Bridge. Salmon Baguette with Eggs and Swiss was scrumptious and a steal in my opinion. Great coffee as-well. The Chef/Owner hand delivered our food and was hustling.... Respect. Thanks for a great first visit to Savannah! Will return.

I definitely do not regret our decision as we had a great meal. The interior ambiance of the restaurant truly transports to another place, it is truly beautiful. Our server was so gentle and gave us many recommendations on things to try and even accommodated some of requests. We started with the Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic French 75 (my first time) and these were both great. For appetizers, we had the crab croquettes (cakes), escargots and caesar salad. Everything was delicious (including the complimentary bread) , and to our surprise the Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the addition of fried frog leg pieces (if I'm not mistaken). The main entrees were the stars of the night, while we were originally inclined to try their Steak & Frites, our server recommended the steak tips sautéed over mushroom sauce with pasta and this was the perfect match instead of the classical French fries pairing. We also had the Supreme Roasted Chicken with caramelized veggies and everything was cooked to perfection. We did not leave without dessert and tried their Créme Brûlée, and while it was runnier than usual, the flavor was there. We thought it needed more time. Overall a great experience while in Savannah!

Even for a focused menu, it's burdened by obscure flavor combinations and disappointingly modest portions. If you're only skimming this review: sticking with the classics is my advice. Pork schnitzel was a winner, Wagyu steak is difficult to mess up, and even the $22 burger looked like a safe bet. I'd avoid venturing into the experimental offerings, unless you're brave, or maybe have a more elevated taste than I. The Vidalia Onion Brûlée was the most bearable. While the texture was grossly reminiscent of a pâté (or dog food) spread onto a paper-thin slice of bread, the flavors themselves were pleasant enough. I cannot recommend the Creamy Cioppino, under any circumstances. Sadly the worst fish soup I've ever tasted. Just instant salt shock- the soup was inedible. A couple of curious friends had spoonfuls, and each had the same grimacing reaction. The steak tartare was also a miss, very over-engineered. It's a fancy spot, but disappointingly prioritized ambition over the execution.

Ambience: Noble fare small, yet there was room between the tables. Our table was in the window on Harris Street -- perfect. We could actually talk with each other without shouting. Sitting along the river while watching massive cargo ships slowly make their way toward the Atlantic creates one of those uniquely Savannah experiences you simply can't find anywhere else. Our server, Matthew, was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the evening even more enjoyable. Service like his is a big part of what turns a great meal into an unforgettable one. Now, the food... The crab cake was one of the best I've ever had--easily 95% lump crab with barely any filler. Just fresh, sweet crab prepared perfectly. The beef carpaccio was elegant, incredibly flavorful, and disappeared far too quickly. Then came the French onion soup. There's a reason the National Onion Association recognized it as the best. Rich, deeply caramelized, perfectly balanced, and topped with a blanket of bubbling cheese. Without question, the best French onion soup I've ever had. The black truffle scallops were buttery, tender, and absolutely decadent. The evening's special--a blackened filet paired with shrimp linguine--was phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp linguine brought bold Cajun flavors that made us feel like we had been transported straight to Louisiana. To finish it all off, watching enormous cargo ships leave the Port of Savannah bound for destinations around the world while enjoying an incredible meal is an experience all its own. Vic's on the River delivered on every level: exceptional food, first-class service, and an atmosphere that's impossible to duplicate. This wasn't just another dinner--it was one of the highlights of our trip to Savannah. Don't leave without ordering the French onion soup.
