For dinner, I finally made it to Noble Fare, and wow... what a charming fine‑dining gem tucked away in Savannah's Historic District! This intimate restaurant, with only about 38 seats on the main floor, is beautifully designed with a cozy black‑and‑white interior, fuchsia drapes, and sparkling chandeliers--perfect for date nights or special celebrations. I started with the Limoncello Spritz, which was the perfect drink! My date ordered the Southern Smash, and it was just as delicious. For starters, we both had the wedge salad, and don't even get me started on their house bread... I was this close to canceling my main dish and just eating the bread--it's that good! But I'm so glad I didn't because my 1/2 Lobster Thermidor was absolutely mouthwatering. My date's rainbow trout was equally amazing. Everything about this restaurant was perfect, and I can't believe it took me this long to try it! I'm already dreaming about going back.

Noble Fare delivered on every detail. Atmosphere was welcoming and intimate. Staff was friendly and not overbearing. We were chatting when we first sat and they just let us catch up with family before ordering with no rush. We started with 1/2 lobster thermidore appetizer and it was delicious. Our entrees were the coffee rubbed pork tenderloin and NY striptease. They both had flavorful complimentary sides and were cooked to perfection. The candied glazed bacon grilled with the steak was a tasty addition. Noble fare offers a variety of signature cocktails nicely prepared. Portions were plentiful but we still had to finish with the crème brûlée and it was as creamy as expected. Don't skip over this quaint little corner in Savannah. It was an unforgettable experience and I'm quite sure we'll return.

Great meal and experience from entering through meals end. The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Tried the tuna ceviche (wonderful!), beef carpaccio (very very good but not the largest portion), the mushroom soup (excellent) and the baby wedge salad (top notch). The special ribeye was massive and delicious, the duck was different than I've ever had and very tasty, diver scallops that were out of this world and an excellent salmon. We winged it with them for the martinis and got a creative and delicious fruit (was it dragonfruit?) martini. Highly recommend Noble Fare on all fronts.

Loved the ambience here - a small dining room with an intimate bar. The wait staff was excellent, constantly refilling drinks and replacing silverware and folding napkins. Towards the end of the evening we informed our waiter that we all wanted to split up one of the party member's checks because it was his bachelor party weekend. The waiter said he could easily do that and he went as far as to give us a round of some limoncello/lemondrop shots that were sweet and sour and really meant a lot to the group. The food was absolutely delicious. I love a smaller, focused menu where the chef can really shine. I had one of the specials (all of which sounded amazing). The veal chop was seared perfectly, great crust, really good seasoning with a savory, slightly sweet au jus, and a perfect medium rare cook through the middle. The whipped potatoes and French green beans were good but I wish I had more in comparison to the large chop. The mushroom bisque starter was fine but I think there could be a little more flavor. The desserts were excellent as well. I had the crème brûlée which was one of the best I've ever had. The coffee was a great end to the night, and I loved the presentation of the waiter pushing the plunger on the French press, showing how freshly made it was. The one thing that our entire party was pretty consistent on was that the drinks were a little lacking. They were reasonably priced, $12-$13 cocktails, but they left a little to be desired. Overall, cannot recommend this place enough! Listen to your waiter and lean into the specials.

Have upgraded my review from a 4 to a 5. They truly shown last night at their valentines dinner. If you're looking for a date location in Savannah this is the one to go too. The dining is intimate, the decor is pleasant to the eye, and the music is low enough for conversation but not so low that you're involved in your neighbors conversations. We had Jasmine as our server and she was excellent. She had a great demeanor and was very helpful with the entire meal, never rushing us and truly allows the prix fixe menu schedule to just flow. The menu was a very good representation of their chefs abilities and the filet Mignon was some of the best I've had in a while. If you want a nice romantic spot to dine, this is the one.

Our experience at Noble Fare was delightful. The service was spot on,not too fast or too slow. Jodi was courteous and attentive. The food was fabulous. We chose the chef's tasting menu and were not disappointed! Will definitely return when we visit Savannah again.

Noble Fare is a restaurant that continues to impress me. The owners are a local husband and wife duo. It has wonderful food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. It is located on Jefferson street. The Liberty Street parking garage is in front of it. This is convenient for parking if you would like. But of course you can park on the street too. The restaurant is in a lovely two story home. There is seating upstairs, downstairs, and a few seats outside as well. Bathrooms are on each floor. Upon entering you are greeted with the host/hostess area so you will not need to wonder where to go. The tables are set with classic white linens and silverware. There are small fresh flowers on the tables for a delicate touch. The colors of the restaurant are black and white with fuchsia accents. You will see those colors throughout the entire space. I highly recommend a reservation. It is easy to book on their website. You will be required to give a card to hold your table. Do not worry, you will not be charged for this. It is to make sure you show up or cancel your reservation within the time allotted. I also recommend sitting upstairs. It has more space and is quieter. You feel less like you are in a crowded restaurant upstairs. But fair warning it is a tall staircase. And there is no elevator. You will have to walk up and back down the steps on your own. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu. If you have questions or want to know about a pairing ask your server. They will most likely will have a good suggestion for you. The food is excellent! The menu changes seasonally. But there are a few items on the menu that are classics that you will always find. We started the evening with a cocktail each. I got the Southern Mule. It is a play on the Moscow Mule, it has bourbon and blood orange in it. My husband had the Smoke & Mirrors. I am not a fan of mezcal so I did not taste his. The drink was lovely to look at though. And he very much enjoyed it. I love their soup(bisque). The evening we dined it was a wild mushroom, with a large well seasoned crouton, truffle oil, and fresh parsley. It was creamy and delicious. For my second course I had the ahi tuna tartar. It had a pineapple relish and curry oil. The dish was in a word yum! I had a scoop of the evening's risotto which was spinach. And I felt like a classic so I had crème brûlée for dessert. It was perfection. My husband enjoyed his baby wedge salad. It was another classic done extremely well. His main was the duck duck no goose. It is comprised of pan seared duck, duck jus risotto, wilted spinach, and a star anise syrup. It was a beautiful plate of food. And he enjoyed eating every bit of it. If you are looking for a date night or romantic restaurant Noble Fare fits the bill! Or if you want a fantastic meal with wonderful service give it a try. We enjoyed our experience with them.

I really wanted to like this place. Everything is under seasoned. Not just for me, the whole table complained about this. Did the chef forget salt? Despite mentioning they have veggie options, not a single on menu. When I inquired they said they make risotto with "left over scraps" of vegetables wow! The saving grace was the creme brûlée. Very expensive for food that has zero salt.

My husband booked Valentine's Dinner here. They had a 6 course dinner for the evening. It was $89 per person and the gratuity was already included in the check. The restaurant was very cute. There is a parking garage across the street and limited street parking. We were seated upstairs, which was way less crowded and more spaced out than the downstairs dining area. We tried a couple of their Valentines cocktails, but were disappointed their bubble machine was down for their signature smoke bubble cocktails. My cocktail has a flower frozen in the ice cube. My husband got these neat drink spheres they presented in a box. He also loved their old fashioned . There were a few flaws, that keep me from giving them 5 stars. The linens on the table were wrinkled. I enjoyed the food, with the exception of the weird crab cake thing they put on top of the steak. It was over cooked and just not fresh tasting. The dessert (tiramisu) was dried out of the edges. I wasn't a fan of the tiramisu. I thought it was adorable they gave us mini champagne bottles as a parting gift and thank you for supporting local. I would definitely come back. I just think they need to fix a couple things.

One of the most romantic restaurants in all of Savannah. Food was five stars as was service. The house itself was from 1870s, or so. So there is a lot of history in there. I had diver scallops which were cooked to perfection. Very happy with everything there. Definitely a date place for couples.

I was debating between the Fried green tomato BLT or the Caprese Grilled cheese then our server Kristin suggested the mussels and that is what I ended up with and I am so glad I did. These were absolutely the best mussels I've ever had. The sauce was not the traditional garlic/shallot wine sauce but had more tomato and basil reminiscent of warm bruschetta. I had to borrow my husbands spoon to get every bit of that sauce after I finished my mussels. My husband had the famous shrimp and grits which he absolutely loved. He noted it wasn't overpowered with sausage like most other restaurants do but had a perfect balance of flavor. My mom got the lamb burger and also loved every bite. She loved lamb so as soon as she saw that she had no doubt what she was going to order. Both my husband and mom loved every bite. I can see why The Public Kitchen is so popular. The restaurant has some indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of tables and banquets along the walls. It was comfortable without being too crowded. This was my first visit to The Public but It definitely won't be my last.

It…read morewas difficult to pick a restaurant to have dinner at, because there's so many great choices in Savannah, but seeing that the minds behind Common Thread were recently semifinalists for Best Chef SE through the James Beard Awards, it ended up being my choice. I'm absolutely glad I picked it. Walking in, we were greeted with smiles. The house/restaurant was stunning. It was quirky but still had its charm. We were escorted to our table, which was an odd little table halfway up the stairs, away from everyone. We were told that table was meant of anniversaries/intimate events. It felt awkward at first but it ended up being fun people watching and listening in to conversations as people walked by. Colton was our server. He was great. Extremely knowledgeable. He walked us through the menu, offered great suggestions on food and wine, did a proper wine service, and even properly pronounced the region in which the wine was from. Colton definitely made us feel special and gave us an incredible experience. I'll definitely give it to Common Thread. The knowledge in which every staff member presented was incredible. As every person dropped off an item at the table, they accurately described the dish in detail before they walked away. I've been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years; serving, bartending, and managing numerous different types of restaurants, from casual to fine dining. I've opened up a few restaurants and have been a trainer as well. Common Thread is operating at a high level in terms of the staff's ability. The food: incredible. We started with one of each oyster, and it was insane how much flavor was packed in them. Our first course was also accompanied with the hand roll and the apple beet salad. The hand roll was fantastic. The beet salad felt like it needed some sort of acid/citrus with it, but still had great flavor. Course two was the mushroom cannelloni and the orecchiette. Both were phenomenal. My wife was obsessed with the cannelloni, the butternut squash puree was a perfect accompaniment. The pesto/parmesan foam on the orecchiette was an excellent touch. Course three we went against Colton's suggestion for the pork chop (almost got both, we were stuffed), and got the Ribeye. Great char, cooked perfectly. The peppercorn jus was an excellent topper for it. For dessert, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding. Although it wasn't sticky, the ginger pairing with it was an excellent touch. This is one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. This will be a staple for us whenever we're back in Savannah and will definitely be asking for Colton again. He is the kind of server I'd like to have at my restaurant. Props to Common Thread, props to Colton.

Without going into excessive detail about our extensive notes (because everything is subjective and I don't want this review to sound super negative), we found the dishes were fine-to-good . . . but not quite where we thought they should be given the vaunted reputation of the establishment. (I'll note that from the reviews here and the professional reviewer buzz, our take is a minority one.) One thing I'll say in favor of Common Thread: my wife ordered a dish with which she has a lot of experience and the version the restaurant served (while made of high quality ingredients) was not of the preparatory style that she was expecting. The server noted she did not eat it and simply took it off the tab - well and professionally done.

Having some un-inspired oysters earlier in the week, we decided to do two of each of the three oysters of the night. They were perfectly cold, deliciously briny and expertly shucked. We added just a drop of minuet juice but the oysters were so clean and crisp, we didn't want to cover up any of the fresh taste. The winter salad was simple but delicious. The lamb and chicken were both tender and perfectly seasoned. The Wagyu had an amazing crust that added texture to a simple slice of beef and the cornbread dressing with scallops was an original take on familiar flavors playing well off each other. We ended with a lovely olive oil lemon cake. You can feel the love in the ingredients, the presentation and the service at The Grey.

Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.

He was in charge of giving us the spiel and answering our questions. A woman (I forget her name, sorry! But she was lovely) was in charge of running the food and clearing the plates. It was a very well run machine. The menu is pre set, but there were choices on some of the courses, like course where an option was a soft shelled crab - I definitely wanted to take advantage of that! We started off with Biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade, these were delightful, so fluffy and soft, and the marmalade was sweet, not bitter like it sometimes can be. The Amuse bouche was a trio of tiny items: a pimento cheese tart, a mussel with chipotle sauce and panko, and a square of salmon with mild wasabi and ginger. The salmon was definitely my favorite. The fifth course had a special as I noted before, so I opted to go for that, it was a soft shell crab with garlic, herbs and a vidalia onion slaw. Topped with peanuts and a white wine sauce. I think my favorite course of them all was the scallops with the carrots and the whipped ricotta - so simple but so delicious! Phenomenal special occasion place or just to cross off your bucket list. If I am in Savannah again (and the likelihood is high, its such an amazing city), I will be back.
