Ambience: Noble fare small, yet there was room between the tables. Our table was in the window on Harris Street -- perfect. We could actually talk with each other without shouting. Our waiter Kelly was terrific. A professional waiter, not a bright-eyed young person waiting for their next job to come through. Good suggestions. The food. The menu changes regularly so that the meals are seasonal and fresh. We split everything -- we senior citizens don't each as much as we used to. We started with sweetbreads. They were lovely. And brought back beautiful memories of the sweetbreads we shared as an appetizer on our first date. Then a huge, lovely trout. Perfectly filleted. With a lovely sauce. And some vegetables I can't recall. And for dessert fabulous tiramisu. And various drinks and wines along with the meal. I've been erroneously telling people that the restaurants are better in Charleston than Savannah. Noble Fare made me realize how wrong I've been. If you asked me to name my top three dinners of 2025, Noble fare would be in that conversation. My friend had a plan to meet up with a family member and her partner while we were visiting in Savannah and we made a point to get dinner together. They were there for a work trip and wanted to be close to their hotel which limited my search, but it narrowed me down to Noble Fare. If you're staying at The Cambria, you can walk here in like 30 seconds so it's a must. I made a reservation in advance, but it was a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. I loved how the menu was curated, but still had offering to satisfy everyone in our parties palette. We started out with cocktails and I think I ended up having three old fashioneds over the course of the night since we were there for two and a half hours. We were chatting and catching up and never felt rushed even though we got up to leave and realised we were the last ones in the restaurant. The staff was so welcoming and made some great recommendations too. Aside from the cocktails, I would say that the lobster thermidor appetizer is a must have. It was very unique and great to share with one other person. I had the NY striptease and it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. It was a great cut with a perfect sear on it and the sauce with bacon added the best flavors. I would get it again in a heartbeat. read more

I wanted to like this better, but I feel like the food was sort of hit or miss. I had a mushroom bisque that was kind of tasteless. I also had the duck dish, which is highly recommended, but I didn't like it at all, and I usually love duck. My friend had this trout special that was amazing. And then we shared a limoncello cake that was also amazing, so maybe it has to do with which dishes one orders. I don't know. The people were very friendly, but it seemed like they were trying to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Oh, also we had glasses of a delicious Chardonnay from South Africa. For dinner, I finally made it to Noble Fare, and wow... what a charming fine‑dining gem tucked away in Savannah's Historic District! This intimate restaurant, with only about 38 seats on the main floor, is beautifully designed with a cozy black‑and‑white interior, fuchsia drapes, and sparkling chandeliers--perfect for date nights or special celebrations. I started with the Limoncello Spritz, which was the perfect drink! My date ordered the Southern Smash, and it was just as delicious. For starters, we both had the wedge salad, and don't even get me started on their house bread... I was this close to canceling my main dish and just eating the bread--it's that good! But I'm so glad I didn't because my 1/2 Lobster Thermidor was absolutely mouthwatering. My date's rainbow trout was equally amazing. Noble Fare delivered on every detail. Atmosphere was welcoming and intimate. Staff was friendly and not overbearing. We were chatting when we first sat and they just let us catch up with family before ordering with no rush. We started with 1/2 lobster thermidore appetizer and it was delicious. Our entrees were the coffee rubbed pork tenderloin and NY striptease. They both had flavorful complimentary sides and were cooked to perfection. The candied glazed bacon grilled with the steak was a tasty addition. Noble fare offers a variety of signature cocktails nicely prepared. Portions were plentiful but we still had to finish with the crème brûlée and it was as creamy as expected. Don't skip over this quaint little corner in Savannah. Excellent and elegant dining in a beautiful town home in Old Savannah. The rooms are dark but warm, furnished in the style of the late 19th century. The food is well prepared and service is professional yet friendly. Our salads were delicious, and substantial. But the mains were the star attraction, especially the filet which was a daily special. Tried the tuna ceviche (wonderful!), beef carpaccio (very very good but not the largest portion), the mushroom soup (excellent) and the baby wedge salad (top notch). The special ribeye was massive and delicious, the duck was different than I've ever had and very tasty, diver scallops that were out of this world and an excellent salmon. It's hard to give it more than a 3 star when the two things I wanted to eat were not on the menu. The server stated the menu changes seasonally but it more seemed like just the things I wanted were removed! (wedge salad and filet) The food was fine, nothing above or below average. The starter salad grilled was acceptable, a little too heavy on the balsamic for my taste. The special fish was good, tho mostly ordered for the crab risotto it was served on, which was delish but about 1 piece of crab. Dessert, again, was fine. I had an issue with the service, as I was not interested in hearing the life story of our server. Aren't servers meant to be seen, not heard? Not that I am not friendly, but I am here to converse with my friends, not make a new one. I travel frequently and use Yelp to help decide on dining choices, and like to think that I am skilled at deciphering the reviews on Yelp. We used those skills today to select Noble Fare. We made an early rez and showed up even earlier. We were graciously seated, and Allison professionally and courteously took us through the menu and how the chef preferred to take orders. After cocktails we selected a cheese plate and wine. The bread course came out first. Fresh and perfectly salted along with a very nice pesto, evoo/balamic, butter accompaniment. The better half selected short rib and I went with the brand new venison special. Pay attention; this (the venison) is a Top 10 all time entree. I asked about the lean nature and Allison shared that chef mixes pork belly into the accompanying sweet potato hash to accommodate. It works. Slap your grandma good. Loved the ambience here - a small dining room with an intimate bar. The wait staff was excellent, constantly refilling drinks and replacing silverware and folding napkins. Towards the end of the evening we informed our waiter that we all wanted to split up one of the party member's checks because it was his bachelor party weekend. The waiter said he could easily do that and he went as far as to give us a round of some limoncello/lemondrop shots that were sweet and sour and really meant a lot to the group. The food was absolutely delicious. I love a smaller, focused menu where the chef can really shine. I had one of the specials (all of which sounded amazing). The veal chop was seared perfectly, great crust, really good seasoning with a savory, slightly sweet au jus, and a perfect medium rare cook through the middle. The whipped potatoes and French green beans were good but I wish I had more in comparison to the large chop. The mushroom bisque starter was fine but I think there could be a little more flavor. The desserts were excellent as well. I had the crème brûlée which was one of the best I've ever had. The coffee was a great end to the night, and I loved the presentation of the waiter pushing the plunger on the French press, showing how freshly made it was. The one thing that our entire party was pretty consistent on was that the drinks were a little lacking. They were reasonably priced, $12-$13 cocktails, but they left a little to be desired. Have upgraded my review from a 4 to a 5. They truly shown last night at their valentines dinner. If you're looking for a date location in Savannah this is the one to go too. The dining is intimate, the decor is pleasant to the eye, and the music is low enough for conversation but not so low that you're involved in your neighbors conversations. We had Jasmine as our server and she was excellent. She had a great demeanor and was very helpful with the entire meal, never rushing us and truly allows the prix fixe menu schedule to just flow. The menu was a very good representation of their chefs abilities and the filet Mignon was some of the best I've had in a while. If you want a nice romantic spot to dine, this is the one. read more

Noble Fare is a restaurant that continues to impress me. The owners are a local husband and wife duo. It has wonderful food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. It is located on Jefferson street. The Liberty Street parking garage is in front of it. This is convenient for parking if you would like. But of course you can park on the street too. The restaurant is in a lovely two story home. There is seating upstairs, downstairs, and a few seats outside as well. Bathrooms are on each floor. Upon entering you are greeted with the host/hostess area so you will not need to wonder where to go. The tables are set with classic white linens and silverware. There are small fresh flowers on the tables for a delicate touch. The colors of the restaurant are black and white with fuchsia accents. You will see those colors throughout the entire space. I highly recommend a reservation. It is easy to book on their website. You will be required to give a card to hold your table. Do not worry, you will not be charged for this. It is to make sure you show up or cancel your reservation within the time allotted. I also recommend sitting upstairs. It has more space and is quieter. You feel less like you are in a crowded restaurant upstairs. But fair warning it is a tall staircase. And there is no elevator. You will have to walk up and back down the steps on your own. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu. If you have questions or want to know about a pairing ask your server. They will most likely will have a good suggestion for you. The food is excellent! The menu changes seasonally. But there are a few items on the menu that are classics that you will always find. We started the evening with a cocktail each. I got the Southern Mule. It is a play on the Moscow Mule, it has bourbon and blood orange in it. My husband had the Smoke & Mirrors. I am not a fan of mezcal so I did not taste his. The drink was lovely to look at though. And he very much enjoyed it. I love their soup(bisque). The evening we dined it was a wild mushroom, with a large well seasoned crouton, truffle oil, and fresh parsley. It was creamy and delicious. For my second course I had the ahi tuna tartar. It had a pineapple relish and curry oil. The dish was in a word yum! I had a scoop of the evening's risotto which was spinach. And I felt like a classic so I had crème brûlée for dessert. It was perfection. My husband enjoyed his baby wedge salad. It was another classic done extremely well. His main was the duck duck no goose. It is comprised of pan seared duck, duck jus risotto, wilted spinach, and a star anise syrup. It was a beautiful plate of food. And he enjoyed eating every bit of it. If you are looking for a date night or romantic restaurant Noble Fare fits the bill! Or if you want a fantastic meal with wonderful service give it a try. My family and I came here for dinner tonight and had what I can only describe as a rude, belittling, and dismissive server who ruined my meal before the food even came out. I ordered a steak, as I have before, medium rare, and it was about as rough and raw as could be! I ate what I could and when our waitress bothered to come back around, my father said the steak was not prepared correctly. Our shining beacon of hospitality returned to the table at the end of the meal to inform me that "Filets and strip steaks are different cuts that cook differently, so I should probably be ordering my Fillet medium" As if I have perhaps never ordered a steak in my life. My husband booked Valentine's Dinner here. They had a 6 course dinner for the evening. It was $89 per person and the gratuity was already included in the check. The restaurant was very cute. There is a parking garage across the street and limited street parking. We were seated upstairs, which was way less crowded and more spaced out than the downstairs dining area. We tried a couple of their Valentines cocktails, but were disappointed their bubble machine was down for their signature smoke bubble cocktails. My cocktail has a flower frozen in the ice cube. My husband got these neat drink spheres they presented in a box. He also loved their old fashioned . There were a few flaws, that keep me from giving them 5 stars. The linens on the table were wrinkled. I enjoyed the food, with the exception of the weird crab cake thing they put on top of the steak. It was over cooked and just not fresh tasting. The dessert (tiramisu) was dried out of the edges. I wasn't a fan of the tiramisu. I thought it was adorable they gave us mini champagne bottles as a parting gift and thank you for supporting local. One of the most romantic restaurants in all of Savannah. Food was five stars as was service. The house itself was from 1870s, or so. So there is a lot of history in there. Noticed the only younger people there were with at least one senior. As close to a perfect experience as we've had in a long time. Arrived for a 6:30pm reservation and were seated a very nice window table. Rocky, our server, was extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance was warm and low noise. Wine by the glass pricing actually makes sense here. Great selections. The food! We enjoyed starters of fresh ciabatta bread with dipping selections as well as the mushroom bisque. Amazing! For entrée we had two specials. 14oz Veal chop with potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms. Cooked medium rare and seasoned perfectly. We also had the swordfish and crab risotto. Swordfish was grilled, and then lighty oven poached, which gave it a meaty consistency as opposed to flaky. Nice touch. It was perfectly seasoned and went well with the crab risotto and green beans. Dessert was equally amazing with limoncello cake as well as a Tiramisu. While one of the more expensive restaurants in Savannah, this French/new American restaurant has a number of things to recommend it. But first, I'd like to clear the air on some negative reviews about staff... that was not our experience at all. We found them charming. I believe that the restaurant is a bit more formal then is typical in the US, and that this slightly more "European styled formality" is at least part of what's being interpreted negatively... but I don't think this is a real thing... or perhaps there is a tough staff member we didn't interact with... That's possible. Now, I'd d like to deal with the only thing on the menu we disliked... the tuna tartare appetizer. It's an anemic dish, lacking flavor, being priced on the expensive side, and unjustifiably so! Plainly put, it's just not a good dish. I would actually encourage the restaurant to pull it. What I did like was everything else we ordered! The sheet crab bisque was lovely, the bone in veal chop was amazingly well executed, the venison was delicious (and over Swiss cheese scalloped potatoes...which frankly was one of my favorite things in the entire meal. If I were a Savannah local, I would try to get permission from the restaurant to come, sit at their bar, And eat a salad and scallop potatoes with some bread and a bottle of wine... Heaven. From a spice profile, the duck (a local favorite, and very good) and the veal were actually Culinary cousins in that the kitchen used star anise in both dishes... And while the spice profile was more than I was expecting in both dishes, they were executed so well with such amazing sauces... I can't help but be nostalgic for them. My eight-year-old's pasta was the only thing I didn't get to try, because she was across the table from me and because she was defending it with sharp elbows. She loved it. My oldest son got the strip steak and that was also good, though I do think dry, aging and finishing in butter is my favorite approach ... the final dish was still nice... and my son enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is the personification of what all Americans think a French restaurant should look like (no French restaurant actually looks like this of course). Pretty, very French, a touch bourgeois and over the top. I think this is a completely fine place for a business or a family meal, but the decor feels like the restaurant is celebrating...so I think it would lend itself well to "events" like date nights, anniversaries, etc. We didn't order dessert there, because like so many tourists we were off to Leopold's for ice cream... (oh the painful line)... While there were a number of restaurants I liked in Savannah, this was easily mine and my family's favorite. If you were spending a long weekend in Savannah, I would suggest one night at the olde pink house, and one night at Noble Fare... When we're back in Savannah... My husband and I went to Noble Fare for our anniversary this last week and we both agreed that this is now our favorite restaurant in Savannah. The Brie appetizer in puff pastry was outstanding, the drinks were larger than most places and they did not short on the vodka. Our waiter Ben was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations when asked. My salmon was cooked perfectly and my husband even stated that his steak was the most perfectly seasoned and cooked steak he's ever eaten. We usually skip dessert but shared the lemoncello cake.
