We stopped here on our way to Socal on an early Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy and the server came and greeted us immediately. We had the pancake special that was only 8.99 and it was so delicious. Our food came out quick, hot, and fresh. I wasn't too full for discomfort but also so satisfied and energized enough to continue our journey. Their coffee was also really good without creamer which is rare for me. If you're driving through or road tripping, definitely stop here for a nice, quick yet tasty breakfastz

Solid breakfast spot! Affordable prices, excellent service, hot coffee, toasted toast, and eggs cooked your way. This spot is sort of hidden in a parking lot, meaning, it is hard to find due to not a lot of signage. Just follow your nose in the parking lot. It is has a local diner feel and signs of route 66 are all over the walls circling the dining room. Very cool. I don't think the restaraunt is on route 66, but, nevermind, I digress. This diner has a great family vibe. My friends and I were staying at the Harris Ranch Inn about 20 minutes away. We wanted to come here and hit a grocery store for poolside supplies, I digress again. Next time I come through here I will try a milkshake, but I recommend this spot for breakfast. Not fancy or stuffy, just a good old fashioned breakfast spot. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Happy eating!

Came here with a large group and they were able to get us seated quite quickly. I personally ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of Mac and cheese. I was kind of surprised when I got the Mac and cheese because I'm pretty sure the Mac and cheese was just the Kraft Mac and cheese you can get from the store. Overall this place was not bad.

Came here for breakfast and lunch. My bf got the impossible breakfast which is definitely shareable. Breakfast is decent. Lunch sandwiches were good, not huge. A lot of food options. Never seems busy. Lots of seating. Service is fine. Plenty of parking.

Wife and I just ate there. Both had the BBQ tri tip and ribs. Good sauce and flavor. Service was great.

Highly disappointing to see the Country Store as of late…read more We have been going to Harris Ranch for as long as I can remember and I am 52 years old. It feels like our home away from home as we go back and forth from Northern California and to visit our family in Orange County. We always LOVED seeing the store and its unique gifts that filled the entire place. For some time, there looks to be maybe a quarter of what they used to have. So sad... I used to come and find a lot of my Christmas gifts for people during the holidays. This past Christmas, I went in and the place looked desolate. I was confused and wondered if I missed it all? I don't know if Harris Ranch is not doing well, but it really looks like they're struggling if you look at the empty feel of the store. We just left the shop now on our way back down to Southern California and once again shocked and highly disappointment. It was bad.. I really hope that whatever happening there gets better so that the store can return to the gorgeous shop that it once was.

Change of ownership…read more After ~1.5 years from my last visit, the Country Store at Harris Ranch is just a remnant of what it used to be. As soon as you walk in, you instantly notice so much open floor space (meaning all the merchandise goodies are no longer available). Over the years, my family and I have made it a point to stop by on our journey to SoCal to stop off for restroom break, fuel up, stretch our legs and load up on some of the fresh delicious beef jerky from the large glass jar that was always the BEST! No longer is the jerky readily available. They have flavored 3 oz. bags (about 2-3 pieces) for $17.99 on the counter. Not only is this price gouging but the quality is also no longer there. I'm not sure why this was removed but I'm sure it has something to do with the new ownership running things a little differently. I'm guessing the other services Harris Ranch provides (hotel accommodations, restaurants and over priced gasoline) are all suffering what once was a great pit stop in the middle of HWY 5. I also heard the owner passed. So sad!

Everything was absolutely delicious. The prime rib was cooked to perfection--exactly the way I like it, rare and incredibly tender. Paired with the horseradish cream, every bite was packed with flavor. The portion size was very generous and definitely justified the price. It's one of those meals that leaves you completely satisfied without feeling like you overpaid. The clam chowder was rich and comforting, and the ranch beans were a great complement to the meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere. I was also happy to see that the restrooms were clean and well-kept, which is always appreciated. Overall, another fantastic dining experience at Harris Ranch. Great food, generous portions, excellent service, and a clean, comfortable environment. We'll definitely be back again.

I have a couple of go-tos here: the battered green beans with chipotle dipping sauce and the chopped wedge salad (also available in a traditional, not-chopped style). The salad was fresh and with blue cheese - extra on the side. Both are great, and came quickly, with a side of a cheddar cheese roll and lots of whipped butter. The only thing that might be better is the house-made biscuits, served with some of the breakfasts. Both are delicious! My server, Angelina, was great. Overall, a great lunch that was well needed for the trip ahead.

Our food actually came out pretty decent. It was hot, tasted fresh, and was put together better than I expected considering how busy it was. The kitchen seemed to be holding it together. But the front of the store? That was rough. The dining area looked like it had been hit by a hurricane. Tables weren't cleaned, trash was building up, and the straw/soda station was sticky and messy. There were a lot of people standing around trying to order. The manager was loudly telling customers they wouldn't be served for a while and should just use the kiosks. That didn't exactly calm the crowd. There was confusion, frustration, and a pretty tense atmosphere overall. Bottom line -- good food and an easy app experience, but the front-of-house operations and cleanliness need serious attention. With better organization and some basic cleaning, this place could be a lot better.

Eventually, I went in and asked for a refund because 30 minutes is too long to wait for a drive-thru order from a "fast food" establishment. Today, there was literally no one in the drive-thru line, so we figured it would be okay since it's the only place to stop. Also, I hopped out of the car to run inside to use the restroom and there was hardly anyone inside either. Well, we were wrong. Same story. Went through the drive-thru and were told to wait at spot number 1 for our order. After 10 minutes, and after 2 other cars parked next to us got their orders and left, we figured we should go ask for an update on our order. They claimed they had already given us our order already, which was curious since we didn't have it. They gave our order to another car parked in a different numbered spot. They didn't apologize at any point for the mistake. We asked for a refund and left. It's really unfortunate because McDonald's breakfast might be the only fast food indulgence I'll allow myself while on a roadtrip.Their fresh hot hashbrown are my favorite but after experiences like this, it's highly unlikely I'll return.
