My husband and I have eaten here several times, and the food is superb. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict--I've eaten it 4 times at least and the cheese grits. Wife and I stopped by for breakfast. She ordered Eggs Benedict and I got corned beef hash, toast, eggs and potatoes. We were both very satisfied and the portions are big. Very good food and the corned beef hash was made in house- no canned stuff. Server seemed genuinely happy to serve and the place is small but quaint. We were in the area and tried this place thanks to Yelp. This small place was packed with 2 servers. They were efficient. Coffee was good and hot. Cafe 1485 is THE place for breakfast in Newnan. The food is first rate and personally cooked by the chef/owner. The staff has been with them since they opened and offer courteous service. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Mom. Don't knock them for lunch either. He makes a great Cheesesteak! The place is on the small side so be prepared to wait if you go on a weekend (so worth it!). read more

We walked in and took 2 seats at the bar where we were greeted immediately and gently told they were quite busy and short handed. No issue for us at all, we just wanted to check the place out and have a little breakfast. Looking over the menu, I was excited to see meats from Heywood's in Marietta (fantastic meat/seafood/local product market if you're ever in the area). I had the Don-perfectly fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs and delicious sausage patties. The other half had a hodge podge of cheesy grits, corned beef hash and a side of sausage as well. We learned that the hash is made in house and it showed-perfectly spiced and tasted excellent. Everything was piping hot, the two ladies were apologetic but absolutely on fire with their service. A true mom & pop establishment where mom greets you at the door, her son is the cook, and his wife is running the show out front with Nancy busting her hump to make sure everyone gets great, southern hospitality service. It's not a big restaurant, but you get big portions of really good food. I enjoy breakfast and 1485 has some of the best. French toast is one of my favorites. The challah bread French toast here is incredible. The bread is thick and soft. I'm not sure what he does differently with the custard, but it's delicious and perfectly cooked every time. The eggs Benedict are huge with always perfectly poached eggs. The potatoes are tasty and plentiful. If you're looking for great breakfast and excellent service, I highly recommend Cafe 1485. read more

I was starving as I was waiting for my Nail appt next door, so I ran over and ordered the veggie omlet with sauteed mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, and provolone cheese with their home fries. Oh my good gosh! I was stunned! It was fabulous!!! The place is indeed a neighborhood hole in the wall, but very nice people and it feels like eating in someone's home. Everyone is friendly and chatty, and the food ROCKS! I'm REALLY particular and new in GA from CA, and finding food that I think is worth eating has really been a problem. I was working in the area and looked up reviews to find this little gem. This family owned restaurant did not disappoint! Amazing food and service considering the husband is the chef alone. My breakfast was one of the best I've ever had! I had an omelette with the breakfast potatoes and the best pumpkin pancake with cinnamon butter. They are kind and gracious, fast service and the food was 5*. I see them outgrowing their space very soon, but if you have to wait-it's worth it! read more

Been here before for the cheesesteaks and they were excellent. Used to live in Philly and the were very close to the originals. Today we tried breakfast. Pancakes were fantastic. My husband had the Sampler breakfast. Liked everything but the potatoes could have a bit more spice. Biscuits & gravy were good - just different than most places - more flavors such as onion.
