GREAT, SALTY POPCORN! I'm not a massive popcorn fan except when it comes to movie theater popcorn. However, Cafe 41's popcorn is tempting me to eat it more often, each peace was big and delicious. My mom ordered some and she told me to try it! I'm so glad that I did because I had more than just a handful. Cafe 41 has other snacks like ice cream, soda, etc. it's a good little spot to hit up if you need a break while touring the Midway. As for concerns, the muffins looked a little dry and I still think they need more options overall. The Cafe was super calm and the line moved fairly smoothly. We went when the main dining room was closed, yet they still had the little storefront open.

Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and seasoned vegetables

I was genuinely surprised by how incredible the food was. Being a big fan of meatloaf, I ordered it, and it came with a side of seasoned vegetables--carrots for the day--and a choice between mac & cheese or mashed potatoes with gravy. The mac & cheese had a white cheddar sauce, but I opted for the mashed potatoes and gravy. Every bite was outstanding, reminiscent of homemade comfort food. While the meal was on the pricier side at $18.31 (excluding a drink), the experience was well worth it. All the employees were super friendly, and there was no wait to check out. Plus, you can enjoy your meal on the deck with a stunning view.

You ring the doorbell, wait patiently, and once you're inside, you realize this isn't your typical coffee shop. It's a place to slow down, enjoy the music, and savor your drink. Monique and Danica were both amazing. They're warm, welcoming, and you can really see the passion behind what they do. Danica is also the DJ, and her eclectic playlist made the whole experience even better. One of my favorite parts was just sitting there watching our drinks being made. You can see the care and craft that goes into every cup...even the Kuramoto ice is beautiful. The Matcha Americano completely changed my perception of matcha. The Kyoto cold brew pour-over was fascinating to watch and incredibly smooth. We loved it so much that we came back the very next day. This time I had the Midori, and my brother-in-law loved the Highball, especially the yuzu. No laptops. Trust the DJ. Drinks are meant to be enjoyed fresh, so take your time. If you're looking for a quick coffee run, this isn't it. But if you appreciate great coffee, good music, and people who are passionate about their craft, Long Play Hi-Fi is absolutely worth the visit.

(Dw, from the inside, you can see outside well) Drinks were really good and carefully made, song selections were unique! We ended up chatting with one of the customers there too. Chill atmosphere 10/10 recommend. There's also free wifi here, signal isn't very good. :) Parked in free street parking about a min walk away.

Unfortunately, this was the highlight. I ordered the "To die for" matcha with almond milk and no pumpkin cloud cream. My sister ordered the "To die for" latte with 2% milk, no pumpkin cloud cream, less milk, and more ice. We both ordered without modifications to the sweetness, under the assumption that the sweetness level wouldn't be particularly high. However, both drinks were entirely way too sweet and left a sharp aftertaste. We then ordered an additional shot of matcha and an additional shot of espresso, in hopes of remedying the taste. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't improved and we left. If you're a customer who is accustomed to a more matcha-forward taste, I would pass on this place. The matcha is pre-batched and tasted oxidized. If you're someone who likes a present espresso taste, I would recommend ordering with a quarter sweetness, although I'm not sure how that would affect the pumpkin flavor. On that note, the pumpkin flavor was difficult to place due to the sweetness, which also resulted in an inconsistent blend of flavors in both drinks. Maybe I'd come back to explore the trinkets.

He suggested getting 100% but said that I could try 75% and then see if I liked it. It was SO SAFFRONY and full of spice, with a bitter aftertaste, I really wish I liked it. It was so unique because the drink doesn't rely on sugar to give it taste, unlike so many drink places in SD. The flavor wasn't up my alley, so he replaced my drink with an iced Signature Karak Chai (which he'd given me a sample before). :) And before he left his shift, he even asked me if I wanted any adjustments to my chai! I appreciated that especially as a non-coffee drinker. 11/10 service. I also ordered the Ras Malai Milk Cake. Keep in mind I really don't like tres leches so I had really low expectations for the soaked cake lol. It was actually really good! The cream wasn't super sweet, and it was topped with sliced nuts. The soaked milk in the cake actually paired well with the cake. There's both outside and inside seating, a few outlets next to the booths, and plenty of parking in the plaza. I'll def be back!

The owner was super welcoming, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I each tried one of their desserts, and we even took a cake home. Everything was really good! We both got regular iced coffees, and they were really good too. They were also really nice about making our drinks the way we liked them. We really enjoyed being able to sit, drink our coffee, read our books, and just enjoy the atmosphere for a while. The only downside was that there are only two single-person bathrooms, so you may have to wait a little if it gets busy.
