It's a little bit of a drive but it's definitely worth it compared to the substandard choices we have in Columbus for a decent breakfast at a reasonable price. We ate here on family weekend for my son who's in boot camp. The waiter Chance was absolutely outstanding. He very attentive . My heard my 4 year old grandson telling me he wanted a cheeseburger for breakfast like he saw on the lunch menu. Then to my surprise, he had one made for him. He also brought toys to the table that kept him very entertained. The food was delicious, the best breakfast that we have had here in the Georgia/ Alabama area so far. My son loved his chicken fried steak breakfast. The prices were very affordable and the food was amazing. We love old school mom and pop diners , they are hard to find anymore. Love mom and pop joints like these! I was going to give a 4 stars but the service and the atmosphere was so wonderful I had to give it a 5 star! I felt like I went to someone's home and they cooked me a hearty breakfast by scratch. Which it was! I ordered the breakfast sampler and got to try their French toast and pancakes. We had breakfast here for the first time while visiting Georgia for our sons Army graduation. We couldn't of been more pleased. The atmosphere, is a fun simple diner, but very clean and large enough, for diners to not feel overly packed in. The service, was quick, attentive, and also a fun pleasure. They all greet you and your food comes out piping hot.. fast!! Great food!! I had the scratch made Biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs. Stopped by here traveling from Florida back to Georgia. Desperately in need of some food that tasted like home. I ordered the salmon patties with cheese grits and eggs, one of my daughters ordered the same and my other French toast with sausage and eggs. Salmon patties were thick but you can tell they added a lot of flour to them, but everything else was good. Service was ok, it reminded me of the mess I get here in some restaurants in Atlanta. read more

Its a gem of a place to eat, breakfast lunch or dinner. We had breakfast there for the first time. We were told about it but never went after living in this area after 10 yrs we decided to go after been told about it again by some contractors that was working on our home who went there for lunch. I tell you the food did not disappoint and the service excellent as well!! They care sabot their costumers they know them by name and know what they like! I had the veggie omelet wow! my husband had the Ruben omelet!! We will deferentially be back it is now our go to place for breakfast, lunch, ad dinner., When we don't feel like going too far from home!! read more

This is by far our favorite breakfast spot in and around Columbus, Georgia. As a military family we move often and love when we find little mom and pop restaurants. Great hole in the wall! The food was amazing but the staff was absolutely incredible, they kept our drinks full, checked on us often, they didn't have much staff and a full house and still checked on everyone multiple times. Best customer service I've ever had. They also were great with my toddler. Very family friendly. 100% recommend and will be coming back. read more

Meh. Decor is dated. Food is average. If you are looking for typical diner fare, sure. Hit or miss on quality. I say that because we have been in multiple times, we are locals, and its close. We are not going back, though, because if you do have an issue, Chance, I think that's is name, gets defensive really quick and begins talking down to you because as he will be quick to point out, and I am paraphrasing here, "he has worked here for over 15 years and knows for a fact....". So whatever issue you have, he will try to make it sound like it's your fault, not his or the line cooks. He and the others will do the standard "canwe get you anything else" routine. I would start with working on a better attitude and more of a hometown flavor, not the "I have been working here my entire adult life and know better than the customer" one. It's too bad, to, we generally like our local favs and like to hit them up more than other chains, but Metro Diner or Cracker Barrel are just down the road a few more minutes. Yuuup, this place is a gem. From the 100 health score, to the clean bathrooms, and the delightful service there was not a single thing that could be said wrong about Cafe 431. They are directly next door to the Troy campus and serve up some good lovin' by ways of food 7 days a week. I drove 20 minutes out of my way to finally get a taste, and I can easily say that I am a believer now. I was craving a hearty breakfast so I got their pancake combo (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage), but I scoped out the rest of he menu for future visits and I know I'll be trying their Philly chicken as well as the Buffalo chicken sandwich soon after. They are soooo nice here, making sure you understand the menu and checking on you periodically, as well as engaging in light conversation. The dish I got is a safe one, but I am still in awe at how juicy the turkey sausage was - I'm glad I subbed the 2 bacon strips for 2 sausages. I cannot wait to return here and feel like I truly got my money's worth from a dine-in experience. I know we just met Cafe 431, but I can tell that our love is gonna last. read more

Probably one of the greatest atmospheres around. Everyday I come in the entire staffs knows exactly what I want to eat and drink without even getting a menu. They talk and hold regular conversations with you, always greet you as you come in and treats you like family. read more
