The banh mi was good and the the pho had a good tasting broth with a lot of noodles and not enough protein. I was mostly disappointed with the boba. It was so much ice and little pieces so it got mixed with the pearls, making for a terrible drinking experience. Crunchy ice with chewy boba pearls is not a good combo. Was craving some Pho with this cold weather we have been having. Went to the casino and got some at their food court. This was so good! Well this place is a huge disappointment. I usually like the food places at Graton but cafe 88 is a complete embarrassment. I ordered a club sandwich meal along with a Diet Coke. This is where it went downhill when receiving the food. The description of the sandwich shows a triple layer club sandwich along with fries on their menu board. In reality you receive a single layer sandwich along with undercooked fries that have no taste. You're better off eating hospital food. The workers here are pretty rude and they do not offer refills. To top it off it took them a while to make this horrible sandwich. Complete disappointment. Please do not finesse your customers and please do better cafe 88. read more

Then he asked if I wanted hot water... what am I supposed to do with that? He even checked the soup's temperature but instead of apologizing, he responded sarcastically. Was a good option for a late night noodle soup craving. The casino Cafe 88 is housed in was bustling in the early hours of the morning. I tried the wonton soup and the combination beef pho. Value was not great with each bowl priced around $18 but the soup was good enough if you're really craving noodle soup at 1 AM. There are likely better options nearby at a reasonable hour. The casino is smokey inside so that might affect your experience. read more

The banh mi was really bad. def not the same bread as regular banh mi. this was just a regular deli French roll that wan't crunch at all. when i opened up the wrapping, all the meat fell out. i mean i saw the meat under the wrapper and wondered why the meat would be showing through like that. very sloppy and taste wasn't there. the drink was 75% ice and the boba was gross. So if you're ever at graton casino and you find yourself hungry and craving for pho after hitting the tables, slots or like me playing poker,then you're in luck. A little pricier than a normal viet place but since it's within reach I guess that's the trade off that you can gamble and have fun, take a break and eat and easily go back to your slot machine right after! It's a nice little shop that serves the typical Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches and soup. I got the spicy beef pho. First thing that threw me off was the noodles. It's looked like spaghetti noodles. And the second thing was the veggies. Or lack there of. I would never have through I would be craving veggies. I wanted more garlic, onions, ginger, cilantro, bean sprouts, bok choy. I got some jalapeño and a couple of stems of mint and some green onions and shredded cabbage. Meat ratio was ok and the spice heat was on the spot but I really didn't taste anything but the jalapeños. Overall three stars. The soup lacked flavor and the right kind of noodles. I enjoy the food here but I have an issue with only having one counter staff person in the morning. It's too much for one person to take orders and distribute them once they are ready. The young man doing this had a great attitude and was doing his best. It's unacceptable for his employer to work him so hard. There needs to be a two counter staff minimum. read more

Decided to order a drink here after playing at the casino. Cafe 88 is located at the food court of graton casino. There are plenty of seatings and js quite spacious. Service was inattentive and I initially ordered the taiwanese mango tea but instead they made me the mango smoothie instead. Since it has mango in it I just decided to take it instead of having them remake it. The drink itself cost 10$ and didn't taste anything like mango. All I tasted is artificial mango with ice. I would not recommend this place at all given the quality of the drink and the price. read more

That staff Ariel is something else! I ordered pho soup and Thai ice tea and came out to, get this $27.01!!! I gave him $30 but I asked him, "are you gonna give me all 99 cents??? Can you give me that penny there that's sitting by the register?" He replied with an emphatic, "NO!" What a non-friendly staff and I would never do that to a customer. I ordered the combination beef noodle. The broth were sweat but nothing really special about it. If you're staying in the casino and wanted some noodle soup, it's not bad but don't expect it to be amazing or authentic. The beef balls were soft which I didn't like. There should be what I called a "bouncy" texture to the beef balls. They give you this small package of suracha which tasted a lit different to me. Not the same hot sauce I normally have at a pho restaurant. They give a good amount of noodles but not much protein. Price is a lit more than normal but not that much more. read more

I was here yesterday, March 1, 2024. After watching Jo Koy I decided to have Pho here. The line was long and it was already 11PM, waited 30 mins to just put my order. Their cashier Nga is rude, trying to rush me because of the long line, asking me what I want even though I told him already. Maybe even double charge me, I will just check it on my bank account after. I was so hungry by then so I wait for my order, noticed that some of the persons who ordered after me have their food already. It was already 30 minutes past, just thinking they are busy so I waited 10 minutes more before I approach them and ask to follow up my order. The girl just told me that the number they gave me will buzz if it is ready not even looking at my receipt. There are other people too waiting for their orders and asking for follow up. One of the cashier noticed me and checked on my receipt and tell them that I've been waiting for 45 minutes already. I already knew that they forgot it, so I just tell them to cancel it. Cancelling took me another 10 minutes, gave my receipt that they cancel it and said it will take 3-4 business days to appear on my account. I am still hungry when I get to my hotel. Bad experience, now that I remember it, I have not received any apologies from them for what happened. read more
