Breakfast sandwich this morning. Croissant, ham, 2 eggs, and cheddar cheese. There was also some flavorful mayonnaise mustard type spread with some herbs that was amazing. Fresh ingredients put together when you order. Unfortunately it could have been a little warmer but I didn't notice until I was eating it on the road. Nonetheless, it was a great sandwich and a really good price, around $9. But croissant was large, 2 eggs and plenty of game. See you again for sure read more

Discovered this cafe a few years ago and has been my go-to since! The owner is super friendly and so is the rest of her team. If you're strolling through downtown and want a tasty treat, this is the place to be! Cafe Alara offers the yummiest hot and cold sandwiches, and the best part is that all the ingredients are fresh local produce! You'll have to keep coming back because they have a large menu of smashed sammies (paninis), soup, cold sandwiches, salads, as well as breakfast items! They also have coffee, tea, Italian soda, and Lotus drinks. Cafe Alara uses coffee from a local roaster (Caffe Cocina) so you'll always get delicious coffee! Cafe Alara is quite famous for their Reuben and it certainly doesn't disappoint. If this is your first time trying their sammies, a few of my favorites are: The Reuben, Roast Beef and Artichoke, Turkey Pesto, and The Point! The perfect guilty pleasure sammie is the Grown Up Grilled Cheese Deluxe paired with their Creamy Herbed Tomato Soup! Honestly you could probably point at something at the menu and it will be delicious! I had probably the best panini of my entire life today. Even though it was to go, it was absolutely amazing and that says a lot I think. I had the veggie panini and omg - perfection. The yummy bread was perfectly toasted, the mix of veggies was perfect - artichoke hearts, a perfect avocado, tomato, olives (I opted for no red onions, they aren't my thing) and a truly perfect spread on top. I wanted to lick the paper clean it was so good. Honestly one of the top 3 sandwiches of my life and definitely a main contender for top panini. As a bonus - everyone else in my group, who had a selection of other sandwich's from the menu, were also raving about theirs. So I have a feeling you literally cannot go wrong here. read more

I am 56 years old and I have never had a better sandwich in my life. I've been all over the country and this was the freshest and most delicious sandwich I have ever had. I see the soups and sandwiches at Cafe Alara on FB all the time and finally had the opportunity to try them. I got the Veggie Panini on sourdough and it did not disappoint! The artichoke hearts were.grilled and gave a "meaty" texture thatelded perfectly with the creaminess of the cream cheese and lemon aioli. The sprouts, tomato and olives just round out the deliciousness. My son already had lunch at school so I got him the Oxalis brownie, which is a fave when we go to the Poulsbo Farmer's Market, so we were excited to get it at Cafe Alara. The staff were super friendly and it was nice to be able to see everything being prepared. read more

I had the grown up grilled cheese (I selected havarti, Swiss, and cheddar cheese) with bacon and tomato on sourdough and it was so tasty! I also had a vanilla latte and it was alright. The pastries looked good so I'll have to go back to try them. The people working behind the counter were all very friendly. As far as seating, there's limited space and can get busy, but the food was good so I'll be back. read more

Was looking for a great, local sandwich shop and found it at Cafe Alara. "Smashed Sammies" were amazing. Already planning to return on a Friday to try the Clam Chowder. Staff was very pleasant. Initially indicated they were out of a certain sauce, but upon hearing it was first time in, took the extra time to make a new batch. Fantastic service. read more

So I have always ordered. DoorDash and I have never seen the venue until now, and I am so happy that I came to visit! When you walk up the sign is super cute and when you open the door, it is so welcoming. They have different styles of chairs and and tables giving it a fun café relaxed vibe. When you walk up and you can see the board is presented very clearly and I was able to read every sandwich that they had to offer there as well as drinks since they do make amazing coffee. My kid got the grilled cheese and I enjoyed my favorite turkey pesto which I've already had three times prior when you order a sandwich as well it comes with chips and they have sea salt, barbecue and salt and vinegar. We went to go sit down at the high top table, which was very clean and neat , we waited maybe three minutes and our food was already ready and they brought it to us which is super nice. My son enjoyed having his lunch and I of course ate mine immediately. Everything in this environment felt warm, friendly and very clean when we went to the bathroom it is very clean and neat as well! Ours was a door dash delivery, order online. It was EXCELLENT. I had turkey with the works, daughter had the club and grandson had Italian. There is so many good items on each sandwich but there are so many extras to chose from ...which was a fun treat also. Sandwiches were wrapped very well, jalapeño chips were fun. I've had a few of their sandwiches, the Ruben is really good one of the best I've ever had and I only had half any the other half the next day it was all very delicious! I am sensationally hooked! I have been financially been pushed out of Bremerton but I'm keeping ~ my doctor, my dentist, and my hairstylist - who happens to be right around the corner! Cafe Alara is absolutely one of my first go to lunch spots thought of on my way in and out of Bremerton it's a gem you need to go don't delay their club is my favorite! read more

Got a hot mocha and the Cafe Alara Club. My husband got the turkey pastrami sandwich. Both were sooo good. Sandwich combos come with chips. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the sandwiches and their salad. Close by the ferry and have street parking available. Great place to study but not sure if they offer free wifi. First off the food at cafe alara is high qualify and SO delicious. The bread is top notch, their spreads are amazing, everthing about it is great. The service today was over the top amazing. My wife and I had been wanting to try this Cafe and were glad we managed to get a midday lunch in it. The atmosphere is inviting, unique, and does a good job of making the space feel bigger. We were excited to order so we looked over all of the amazing sounding options. My wife opted for their Yardbird sandwich, while I got their beef and cheddah. Her sandwich was fresh and delicious and mine was insanely good. There was a bit of a horseradish sauce in it which I pleasantly was not expecting; it was a great surprise. We didn't catch their name, but we were greeted by the most friendly person. We are happy to have finally tried Cafe Alara. It's definitely in our rotation and on our lunch break list! read more

First time I've been here, walked in greeted by lady at the Counter, she told me the Most Popular sandwiches (Yardbird, The Point, Reuben) and showed me the Specials. I ordered the Reuben Panini and had my food in less than 5 mins. The sandwich looked exactly like the pic on their Page. It's 1 of the top3 Best Reubens I've had! Prepared with a fair amount of corned beef, sauerkraut, and dressing. Comes with Deli pickle spears, bag of chips and separate spicy mustard on the side. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other sandwiches!!!! read more

This cafe is such a gem! Calming atmosphere with a french vibe. My family and I were in town for a graduation and Autumn was so warm and welcoming to us when we dropped in. You'll find a really great selection of Jacobson salts and other cooking items on shelves. Plus they had farm fresh eggs and raw milk for sale as well. I am super happy to recommend the avocado toast, breakfast burritos & chai lattes. My sister ordered a vanilla cappuccino and said it was delightful as well! Wonderful little restaurant with a nice staff. The sandwiches where a perfect mixture of festive fresh ingredients exquisitely pared with sliced meats. The fresh made clam chowder was simply delicious. However, I was unpleasantly surprised when I received my bill to see that I was charged extra for my preference of bread as well as for the plastic cups our water was served in. Thank goodness we were not charged for the spoons to eat our chowder with. read more

Great little place to grab a bite to eat either on the go or to enjoy on site. The sandwiches, salads, and soups are made to order and fresh everyday. Have not had a bad food item here yet. The yardbird sandwich is a personal favorite of mine. The owner is super nice and is always striving to make sure your food and experience is a great one! read more

Interior seating choices available include booths or tables. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient handing us ice waters, menus, napkins, chopsticks, and flatware upon seating. Same pleasant interior with healthy plants and an aquarium. Menu items have expanded and also offers bubble tea. We shared a fresh roll with grilled pork and their tasty dipping sauce. Love the crunch and overall fresh composition. Mom had the seafood pho which arrived in a ginormous bowl and I opted for the steak and meatball pho in a smaller bowl. We shared the provided fresh bean sprouts, basil, and lime wedges, but passed on the sliced jalepenos. The broth was so on point, there was no need to adjust the seasoning. But if needed, there is a variety of additional condiments available at each table to customize one's bowls further. Entree servings and content are so generous, that we ended up packing up our leftover phos. I also bought an additional iced Vietnamese phin style coffee with condensed milk to go. From a friend's recommendation to visit, I made the quick drive down to try them out, and I was not disappointed! The only thing I was upset about was that I ate the tastiest, zestiest Rueben too quickly and didn't get the chance to take a picture before I devoured it. I absolutely loved that they made a custom Strawberry/Coconut frappe for me that hit just the right spot today. If I lived a little closer, I'd definitely make this trip more often, but as it is, I'm glad I know this place exists! read more
