Found out about this place on ferry from Seattle to Bremerton. Turns out this place is minutes from my hotel (near ferry terminal) Great place and delicious food. I saw the robot bus boy :) I just got several skewers and a couple beers -- not that hungry. The skewers tasted great. No AC but it wasn't an issue with the ceiling fans and cold beers. Cool vibe and music in the background. I watched a World Cup game on my phone while dining Ordering and paying are made simple with the QR code at the table. The decor and ambiance in this space are incredible, with many special touches (including some beautiful seating near the windows at the front). The ramen we ordered was pretty good. The broth was rich. The pork decent. The udon noodles much better than the alternative (which were not prepared properly - and thus difficult to chew). The service was really the main issue we encountered. When you walk into a space with the aesthetic of Yoko Yoko, you expect to be treated to excellent table service. Instead you are left with a code on your table to scan - all ordering done through an app (with few modification options). When you need staff assistance, you are left to wander around the restaurant and try to hail someone. It doesn't make for a great impression (and it certainly doesn't match the ambiance). Overall, I think this restaurant has a lot of potential. But the service definitely needs to change to make it a "go-to" spot for us. read more

Each of us ordered different ramen bowls, we shared edamame (perfectly seasoned) and fries (probably some of the best fries we've had in a long time because of the sauce). Let me preface with ramen is not typically my jam. Once you get past the fact that you seat yourself, have to use the QR code to see the menu, order via the QR code (which is frustrating as a first time guest, as we had tons of questions), pay via QR code, etc the food was quite good. This is not my preferred business model for many reasons and is it just feels so darn impersonal and starts the experience off frustrating. We sat there for quite a while confused and wanting waters which took far too long to arrive. I think they felt sorry for us and actually came over to our table to help. Once there they were quite nice but it was apparent with every in-person interaction that they didn't want to spend much if any time at the table. Frustrating. I can see how if you were a "regular" and you knew the menu inside and out how one could appreciate this but for most folks, it's quite off-putting. We enjoyed the Fukuoka, Hakata Alfredo, Wagyu skewers, Bang Bang Buri, and Pork Katsu. All were super yummy. I may have to start liking ramen after all. If you're looking for full-service this is not the place. Take-out yes, if you know the menu well yes. They should greet each guest as they arrive and ask if it is their first time there, if so....give them full service. Stopped by this place on the way back from Olympic National Forest. You can imagine how cold and calorie deprived we were so we needed something hot and comforting. Stopped by for ramen! Specifically chose this place because they have gluten friendly options for their ramen. Not gluten free, as they boil the noodles in the same water, but gluten friendly. Ramen was a solid choice. I just thought it needed chili oil which made a big difference. We also ordered some sake, like I said... we needed to warm up ;). I can't recall the name but it was a rose sake which had strawberries in it. It was SO good. The place is well decorated. It has cute neon signs. Service was also good. Honestly, over the past year it has been steadily going downhill. I noticed the fries were never consistent. This time, I ordered a second order of fries and was surprised it came out crinkle fries. When I asked why it was different from the first order during the same sitting, they said it depends on the supplier and all of their fries are frozen. They don't make it in house. I haven't liked any of their salads. They currently have a goat cheese one, everything on the plate including dressing is from a bag or a bottle and it was not good, I couldn't eat it. This is an amazing Ramen restaurant. Be aware service is interesting but my partner and I LOVED the fact that we order on our devices, and food comes out incredibly fast. You do not get an assigned server and they will not come check on you. Simply just order what you need on your phone with the QR code and it will be at your table in under 5 minutes. Now the food! This is our second time here and I chose to be adventurous and order the Hakata Alfredo. OMG it was delicious!!!! It was as if Beecher's Mac and cheese and miso soup had a baby in the best way ever. The food is really excellent here and it's within easy walking distance from the Seattle-Bremerton Ferry Landing and the myriad of local hotels and accommodations surrounding downtown Bremerton. All things being considered, I was really on the fence about giving 3 or 4 stars. The reason for the 3 would simply be due to the service (or lack of it) there are servers and a robot around, but they will never stop by unless you've ordered something from the tablet. Water is on the table in a pitcher as are cups, napkins, and just about everything you need. Some May like this experience, but I really enjoy talking to folks at least once during my visit to a restaurant and checked up on would be nice too...! I feel from an ownership standpoint, there are a lot of missed opportunities to positively influence a patron's meal. There were also many missed opportunities at selling me cocktails or beer. Sorry. I am not paging through a tablet to figure out what's behind the bar and figure out how to customize a cocktail. So, I paid for my check on the web and never enjoyed a cocktail from their nice looking bar. So then I remembered just how tasty the food was...! Despite the serve yourself scenario here, the folks in the kitchen know how to cook...! Thus the fourth star. Had the service been great and memorable and had the cocktails been offered, they may have squeaked in a fifth star. Okay first off the service is not easy because the way the menu works is confusing as hell to navigate. There aren't really many pescatarian options so I ordered a Veggie Broth Udon, you have to LEGIT search through their QR code menu to order and it's a lot more difficult than it should be. I could only manage to find the egg and the fried tofu to add on, because in a place you wouldn't expect it is all the fixins for a good bowl of Udon. The egg was a bit overcooked and not marinated, the tofu was fried pretty lazily, and the broth didn't have a lot of flavor. The edamame was good, but you can't really mess that up. The waiter/manager/staff that did help me with getting some Naruto fish cakes was very kind but unfortunately this place was a dud for me. read more

Honestly...so disappointed with this experience. You have to order via a QR code on the phone which takes away from the experience of dining out but isn't a deal breaker in itself, what sucks is that the web order system doesn't have any way for you to alter your meal ie take onions off or anything, and apparently their descriptions are inaccurate because my ramen wasn't as described and I had to ask about it (was told they need to update their system). No server checked on us the entire time we were here past dropping offf the food which was weird. The ramen came and it had hardly any flavor, the noodles tasted undercooked, the texture was off. The brings the food. I just had ramen so I decided to try the curry. I think the portion was just right so not to make me fill bloated. I ordered the seared beef curry. My second time going. So the place is nice. Service was great! But the ramen, the only reason I went, was sub par. I had gotten the Sapporo spicy miso... It wasn't spicy at all. And it was super bland... Wasn't rich at all. And the noodles needed probably 2 more minutes atleast. Also cut the egg in half please. Came over from Seattle to spend some time in Bremerton. Ramen noodles were undercooked. No egg (have to pay extra), and the pork was over cooked. The only bright side to the ramen was the broth. The Furikake Fries are mediocre. Fries are fine, seasoning was way over done and arguably dumped all over the fries. As far as the curry goes, it was o-k. Karage was great, and i enjoyed the carrots within. The amount of food, wasn't enough. Lacking in portion size of the curry. I wouldn't give this much higher than a 3. My gf and I went here after work on a rainy day. She ordered the Sapporo (spicy) and I got the Yokohama. She did not think the Sapporo was spicy at all and it tasted pretty bland. My broth was definitely a lot better. The noodles were both hard so we barely ate it. The pineapple chu-hai wasn't too bad. And as for the chicken gyoza, you can tell it was straight from the freezer. The sauce was good though! The service did make up for the food. Will we come back here? Maybe for the drinks. read more

Feeling very underwhelmed after finally trying Yoko Yoko Ramen. First, be sure to check they are open before you make a special trip, as they seemingly close a lot, and don't stick to their posted hours. Second, as other Yelpers have said-the food ordering process is confusing. I have ordered via QR codes at other places, but Yoko Yoko does not tell you that is the way to place your order-you don't get greeted, and the servers do not explain how to do it. After we sat in a cramped booth for four of us for at least 20 minutes, we had to flag down a server as they were speeding past us to ask how we ordered. She just pointed to the QR code on the table, and walked away. Well...their wifi is very spotty, so you keep getting kicked out of the site, then it appears that you may have placed duplicate orders... Fast forward to the food...the ramen was OK. Not enough flavor in the broth, and the pork was too chewy. Final hint-everything you add into your ramen is extra, and that can boost your bill up pretty quickly! I don't know if we would make the effort to visit again, as it was just OK. read more

We've been here for both dinner and brunch but this review will be about brunch! Brunch is Sunday 10-2 at the Bremerton location. Hands down, the best brunch item is the chicken and waffles. The chicken is so flavorful and the waffles is great! It's served with yuzu butter (yum!) and a flight of syrups including maple, berry, and yuzu. We went with yuzu and maple. So good! The five spice biscuits and gravy are also really good! A nice portion size! However it was just lacking come umami. I couldn't put my finger on what it was missing, but it was, but still really good. We also got the jiggly pancakes. Not a fan. Three tiny ones, and the texture was kind of scrambled eggy. Not sure if that's how the center is truly supposed to be on these or if it was a mess up. But wouldn't order again either way because it was price for the small size. My husband order a strawberry mimosa, again a small portion but they poured heavy handed so that was nice. I ordered the green tea with strawberry purée. I was expecting one of the strawberry matcha lattes with strawberry purée but it was basically just strawberry green tea. Which was fine and it was good, but not what I expected (which isn't a complaint on my part, just explaining for those who were curious to order). Since you order on your phone, the staff doesn't really come working to see if you have any questions about the menu or to check in you really. But they were nice when we did interact with them. We have been to Yoko Yoko Ramen since it's Bremerton opening. The food is pretty authentic. The owner takes so much pride in his shop. At times the service might be slow but I feel it's because of the attention to detail in the preparation of the food. The taste has always been 100percent. I appreciate places like this. RAMEN! RAMEN! RAMEN! If you're a "wine and dine" fellow, great option. However, if you're looking for something to pick up and bounce right out, unfortunately you're 3 strikes and out! This location is DINE-IN ONLY. The atmosphere. The place has a nice touch and is very easy to dine in and get acclimated! You seat your group at the variety of tables of your choosing. If you're chowing down by your lonesome the bar area would suffice as well but I'd suggest getting the table near the window that has a nice lounge vibe to it (very relaxing). The food and drinks. I played it safe with the house special ramen with additional 2 egg as my preference (can't go wrong with tasty egg). Paired with a Blue JOTO sake drink made it quite a delicious and satisfying meal. The broth and egg (great consistency) was just a bit too salty for my taste but nonetheless tasty and rich in flavor. If you like eating egg by itself, it's best to include the noodles in the same bite so the salt and flavor complement each other neatly. Customer service. Very well done! Chill vibes all around which is perfect. Staff makes sure you're doing alright and you have everything you need to make your experience the best possible and not overwhelming at all. Took a trip to bremerton just to get lost and was looking for something to eat...found a gastropub that looked nice so headed that way..parked the car and noticed this ramen shop across the street...we decided to give it a shot with not the highest expectations...glad we did...again I have tried many ramen shops in my life and this places noodles and broth are one of the tops..some of the local ramen shops i go to i leave with the bowl still having some broth left..not this place...drank the broth...couldve used a straw..also liked the karaage, cucumber salad, shitake skewer, and all the sake...we have driven down there once again just for the ramen..this will be my place from now on... read more

Service was a little difficult with ordering on my phone using the scan code so I ordered with the only waitress on the floor. It was lunch time but was really slow with maybe two others dining inside. The lighting was alright and the setting has black walls with some Japanese artwork.
