    Pork chop

We've tried this place a couple of times now and had overall good experiences. The service is good, the servers are friendly and the bar has a nice draft selection. The chicken Marsala needs improvement, the sauce didn't have great flavor and the chicken was not seasoned well. Using large (maybe portobello?) mushrooms provides a weird texture to the dish. On the other hand, when you cut into the Pork Chop, the heavens may part and angels sing. This chop is magnificent!!! We ordered on Wednesday night which offers a special Italian preparation with a tomato reduction sauce. The pork itself is so tender you can cut it with a fork. It melts in your mouth. GO for the pork chop! It's marvelous.

Came here for lunch on a weekday, seated immediately although the restaurant was bustling. Bright, airy dining room, just the right temperature. We split the beet salad and goat cheese BLT. Both were very tasty and enjoyable. My teenager had his usual, a burger and he liked it a lot. Service was attentive and helpful, our food came out quickly, prices were reasonable. Would return and try brunch next time.

Nice selection and variety of different foods and not solely just Italian. I had the Beet Salad which was excellent along with French Onion soup. Entree was Rigatoni and crumbled sausage which was also good, Nice, friendly and attentive staff.

The rating should be much higher. Our waitress was attentive and courteous. Prices are better than their competitors. Everything we ordered was delicious. We all over ate. Chocolate martini was great. The best dish was the fettuccine with grilled chicken. Asian salad, chicken parm and Cajun pasta- all good.

Ham & Cheese Omelet, Crab Cake Benedict, mimosa.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. I noticed it on my last trip to Dunedin and put it on my list of places to try. Unfortunately, it just wasn't my cup of tea. It was pricey for what it was. The ambiance wasn't anything special. It was a bit chaotic. No clear leader to run the floor. My server seemed annoyed and I attribute that to the lack of support. And then the food was mid at best. No good flavors and honestly bland. I wish that this had been a different experience. With that all being said, we were there for brunch so I can't speak to their lunch/dinner. That might be a better experience.

We stopped by Cafe Alfresco today for lunch and it was a lovely experience. Walking in, we were warmly greeted and offered our choice of seating. The entire staff was friendly and I could definitely tell that this is a place that is big with the locals because of the interactions I witnessed. The inside of the restaurant was clean and a great place to sit and people watch with great views of the street. Our meal was prepared quickly, accurately and was delicious. Our server Shyanne took really great care of us. Fun fact, this is the first restaurant we've ever eaten at that has an electronic menu, it was a tablet that had the menu and all of the items had pictures. Very cool and easy to use. My only regret is that I didn't have room for dessert because there was a cooler full of beautiful looking desserts and the chocolate mousse was really calling to me, along with a few other items. If you're in Dunedin, I'd recommend Cafe Alfresco. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.

Nestled in the sleepy little downtown of Dunedin is the gem of a restaurant, it's definitely has an Italian slant to the menu but surprisingly offers a good variety of other dishes too. Portions are very generous: service is warm and welcoming and our food was brought out in a very timely manner. Our waiter advised us on options and helped to make our decisions. The menu is presented in iPad format. The ambience is nice with some seating at the small bar area, an interior dining area, a conservatory dining and some al fresco dining. I would definitely eat here again!

Food is always devine. Service is top notch, Cooper was at the bar today and she is always on her game. Aesthetics better than most. Returning back to the office.

We've walked past here mid-day, and tonight we found out why. We were seated right away on a Tuesday night and got in our drink orders. They came out quickly and we out in our food orders. Drink prices are very reasonable, and they have a good wine selection and a full bar. Rolls are offered, and come out hot and fresh. For dinner? My wife got the Bean Soup. It had big chunks of potato, along with the beans and other veggies. A bowl was a good meal for her. I got the Chicken Piccata. It was delicious! Creamy lemon caper sauce with nicely pan fried chicken and a heap of pasta. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and if you're indoors there is a lot of glass to see the trail and street. Service by Dan was great as well!

Well, going to the craft fair in Dunedin and we happen to stop in this lovely restaurant. Of course there was a grumpy man at the door, which just added to the ambience. The food was incredible. We both had the Greek salad with the salmon on top which was delicious and the raspberry tea, which was amazing. this place is quite lovely and I definitely want to come back. Our server was very efficient and friendly.

That's changed since moving to the Gulf Coast of Florida, where the fish at the local restaurant today was probably swimming yesterday. My "go-to" seafood now is a grouper sandwich which I order blackened but NOT fried. I've sampled grouper sandwiches from many local dining establishments, but my favorite is from "Carvor's Fish House" A couple of important notes: 1) Carvor's is only open for LUNCH. Their hours vary, so you'll want to check the website, but they typically close at FIVE PM, with the last order accepted at FOUR PM. 2) Carvor's has NO inside dining The patio is tree-shaded with extra umbrellas but if it's really hot, you may be uncomfortable. 3) Carvor's has COUNTER SERVICE. The best part was that this was my daughter's very first lobster roll, and she LOVED it! Seeing her face when that giant lobster roll came out was priceless. I think we officially have another lobster roll lover in the family! My son went with the Lucky Burger, made with a brisket and short rib blend, and that was a hit too. From the moment I saw the seafood case, everything looked ridiculously fresh, and that freshness carried straight onto the plate. The Tides is both a seafood market and restaurant, so you're surrounded by beautiful seafood and ingredients that actually look like they belong there. Then I noticed the MICHELIN plaque outside the building and thought, wait a minute... THIS place has Michelin recognition? Apparently, yes! The Tides has earned a place in the MICHELIN Guide, which suddenly made a whole lot of sense after tasting the food. That salmon was seriously some of the best I've ever had. Fresh, beautifully prepared and so clean tasting that it didn't need a bunch of heavy sauces or nonsense piled on top. It felt like one of those rare meals that is indulgent because it's delicious, but you also walk away thinking, I actually ate something good for me. We made the mistake of trying to go on a Saturday evening. Shoot for off hours instead, as the wait was pretty long. We ordered a lot of what the Michelin blurb recommended: the dip trio (out of white fish), the crawfish arancini, the fried grouper po boy, and snapper. In the dip trio, we absolutely loved the fried green tomatoes and the pimento cheese (I don't like tajjn but it worked extremely well here). Neither of us was in love with the smoked fish, but if you're a big smoked fish person you might like it. We also loved the arancini and the romesco sauce they came with. The entrees we were honestly disappointed in. The grouper in the po boy tasted dry, and the snapper was nothing to write home about. It must be difficult for a restaurant to live up to the greatly heightened expectations of a Michelin designation. The location and staff were great. We didn't leave delighted but I would definitely come back to try more items.
