Fried grouper sandwich (I said no cheese) and coleslaw and hush puppies
    Janet W.

Husband and I can for lunch on Friday around 12:30 pm and we're able to get free parking at parking deck across the street which was super convenient. I ordered the fried grouper sandwich and Cole slaw per the recommendation of the friendly staff. Husband ordered the blackened grouper sandwich and potato salad (which has eggs). We shared the hush puppies which were outstanding. The sandwiches are superior and such a large side neither of us finished the entire thing. The key lime bar was also amazing. Come here for an amazing meal that you will remember! Only downside were the mosquitos who found my ankles sitting outside by the greenery.

This shaded patio called out our name and the weather was seriously perfect to hang out here. Carvor's Fish House is part of JENSON Bros. Seafood Market. They serve up fresh and frozen fish and seafood here. The only non fish seafood would prob be some sides. So Salty Soul is next door for non seafood lovers which we went too also. I ordered a fried grouper sandwich and picked conch fritters as my side. This sandwich was huge and the fish is light and flaky. It's the local fish here so it's super popular in the restaurants. It was very good. Everyone working was very nice. Enjoyed this dog friendly patio and the egret scoping out the tables for food. For some reason though, I did have an upset tummy after this. Perhaps bc it was too fried for me. I'm glad I was able to try it and there are other seafood and fish here.

This place was truly a gem. The seafood was very fresh, the service was friendly, and the food came out fast. I got the crab cake sandwich, a side of pasta salad, and a fried green tomato, and it was all delicious. Very affordable, I ate every last bite

Outstanding. Fresh fish. Prepared simply. Delicious. No frills establishment that serves the freshest fish around. Outdoor seating allows for your fury friend to enjoy the fun.

Wanted to go here for a while and today was the day . We get a lot of seafood from Jensen Brothers next door and it's always great . We ordered inside and were given a number to put on our table . The sandwiches came out , we both ordered the same thing , and I can honestly say it was the best grouper sandwich I've ever had . Tender - juicy - perfectly prepared served with tartar sauce and French fries . Delicious . Can't wait to go back .

Being in Florida, you need to like fish, me not being from Florida, it's a hit or miss. Training my palette to like fish has been okay but occasionally quite wonderful, Carvors Fish House helped that along. If you don't love fish, usually fried will get you along. This was my first time trying to fish balls, reminiscent of hush puppies, but also not. Maybe they were conch? I'm sorry, can't remember, the fry was a little weird and the inside a little gummy for it. Didn't love that but the fish and chips were outstanding. My partner (you'll find him in a one of the pics) had the tacos and the flavor was on point but the taco shell was too moist from the filling and was falling apart. Needed two shells to hold the filling in place, or a less wet filling. Service was solid.

Everything we had was great! I highly recommend getting a few of the peel & eat shrimp before your food comes out, you won't regret it! The hush puppies & fried cod were perfection! Hard to comment on service since you order at the counter and they bring it out.

Hands down best seafood we've had in quite some time. This is a Bay Area gem! And a must try if you love seafood. Located in downtown Dunedin and an outside seating only establishment. You walk up and order and go choose a seat outside. They'll bring your order to your table. Only 6 parking spots available so I recommend parking at the City Hall public parking and walking to this place. The walk isn't bad at all and well worth it. I ordered the seafood platter which comes with fried shrimp, scallops, fries, and cod. I also got a fried green tomato on the side. I loved the food. The breading was light and didn't fall off. Delicious and it was great sitting outside as we enjoyed our meal.

Loved the vibe here. Reminded us of vacationing in the keys. Very chill and nice outdoor seating. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful even though they were slammed during a lunch rush. My husband had the seafood sampler, which was delicious. I kept stealing off of his, so good. I had the blackened grouper sandwich, which they said was one of the highlights of the menu. I didn't love the spices on it, but that's just a personal preference and it sounds like a lot of people enjoy it. I think I would get the fried grouper sandwich next time or maybe a basket. I LOVED the hush puppies. Wow yum do not skip, they were huge. There's also wine and looked like some rotating specials. Next door you can buy pounds of all kinds of seafood (fish, shellfish, crab, and even some unique items like frogs legs and alligator).

I heard great things about Carvor's Fish House, so I had to check it out. Everything was super fresh, and we enjoyed everything we ordered except for the crab dip. It had way too much cream cheese and just wasn't that enjoyable. Other than that, the food was great, and I'd definitely come back! Must get the grouper! What I ordered: - Spread with Crackers: (Crab & Cheese) - Grouper Taco Served Traditional (lett, tom, cheese, taco sauce) - Grouper Finger Basket

The fried grouper sandwich was incredible. It was so fresh. We also had the onion rings and potato salad which was very nice. It is outdoor seating only but I enjoyed being able to sit on the porch and be underneath the shade. Overall it was a tasty meal. You walk up to the counter and order your meal and wait for it to be brought to your table and the food came out very quick!

Stopped here for a quick lunch and was super impressed. The fish tacos were delicious as were the sandwiches we tried. The conch as a side was also great as well as the cucumber salad. Service was quick and friendly!

I can imagine it would be particularly beautiful at sunset. We came here for lunch and it wasn't busy at all, so we picked seats right along the railing overlooking the water. I got the grouper sandwich. The one downside for me is their speciality sauce that they put on everythingggg is a dijionaise & I hate mustard in all its forms. So that made ordering a little tricky but isn't their fault really. I swapped it for regular mayo. I liked the lime vinaigrette and got a little extra of that. They serve the sandwiches with chips that were pretty crispy and tasty. My fish was cooked wonderfully. Service was quick and the waitresses were very friendly. It's also a Diet Coke place, which is a big pro on my list.

On the website they list out parking lots, so I would recommend checking that out. We ended up parking at a parking garage that was a couple minutes walk from the restaurant. Also, pro tip thanks Yelp, they do accept reservations. You have to look on OpenTable, though, I don't feel like I saw it on their website. We were there at 7 PM on Saturday and even without a reservation we would've gotten a table. However, it is on the smaller side if you want to sit inside, they do have a back patio. I saw a reserve sign on our table, so they definitely honor Reservations. I got hogarita which is their version of a margarita. It was good. My husband got an old-fashioned and liked it. The food is where this place really shines. I got hogfish grilled with their veggie of the day and key lime slaw. My husband got their salmon grilled with veggie of the day and hush puppies. The hush puppies are exceptional. I usually avoid carbs and I'm sure this one is really bad for you, but it was absolutely delicious. My husband, who normally isn't a huge fish eater liked his salmon. We both agreed, though that my hog fish was better. The hog fish was flaky and tender, a very mild tasting fish, but absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10 on this dish. This place is pretty casual, it feels very down to earth with really good food. Service was attentive and quick, we will be back.

It's a small outdoor market held Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Dunedin. Since I arrived right at opening, it was pretty quiet, which made it nice to walk around and browse the vendors. The community atmosphere felt very friendly, and there were a variety of vendors selling food, local goods, and other items.
