The lavender lemon drop with a sugar rim is calling my name as we speak... the drink goes down too easy. The blackberry margarita wasn't too bad, but not like the lemon drop. The lobster roll was what you'd expect to pay - $36, with a side. I chose the sweet potato fries which were good but just the normal type of SP fries. The lobster roll had a good amount of lobster on it and I'm glad I was able to get it warm and with butter (though if you are the other kind, than there is the option of cold and mayo!). The calamari was pretty decent as well. The kale salad coleslaw was pretty epic, as I am not a coleslaw kinda gal, but the flavor with the bites of apples too - chefs kiss!! I'm not a lobster fan but this place was highly recommended and had a wonderful "non-lobster options" menu. I loved the blackened grouper tacos with mango salsa. I had a slice of the inhouse made key lime pie as an appetizer. It was good but not $10 good. It was a very skinny piece that had slid off it's graham cracker foundation. If someone else was buying, I'd choose it in a heartbeat. The mango salsa had just the right spice bite on grouper that was cooked properly, great portion. Again $22 was a splurge for 2 tacos. They also had a wonderful guacamole sauce. Over $40 with tip for lunch was over the top though. The hostess needs a raise. She was excellent-informative, kind, enthusiastic. Edible but not worth the drive from clear water beach. We were here for the long weekend and didn't want to dine on the main strip on Monday night. Made a bee line for this place had an 8pm resi but didn't know they closed the kitchen at 830. We called we were running late and were told if we make it this will seat us and feed us which they did. The food however was not worth the drive or the rush. Lobster rolls and tacos were just ok. Oysters were fine not fantastic and while service and food were quick this was simply not a hit. We've been in Florida (Orlando and Tampa area) for a week now and this is the first fantastic meal we've had. Located in cute Dunedin, there's ample covered and uncovered and indoor seating here. The menu is fairly extensive with options for everyone. I ordered the spicy mango margarita, which was $14 and delicious, but very small (maybe 8oz), and the Connecticut (meaning hot) lobster roll. I've never had a lobster roll (I'm from the west coast). It came with fries and a kale apple coleslaw. Girl, this meal was FANTASTIC! The lobster was fresh, buttery and generous, overflowing from the buttery, soft brioche roll. I did add salt. The fries were perfection. And I loved the coleslaw! Someone else in our party got the lobster pot pie and that was a big hit too. The hubs got the lobster quesadilla, which was a recommendation of the waiter and he said was good, but it looked boring to me. The only downside was that our waiter REEKED of pot. He clearly smoked it before coming to our table and was breathing it onto us. Bad form. Smoke on your own time, man. I will definitely be back! read more

Absolutely amazing food. We started with the shrimp appetizer and lobster bisque. Both were delicious and I'd get them again. For my main I got the lobster roll served hot and instead of fries got double coleslaw. Their coleslaw is pretty unique like an apple coleslaw. I absolutely loved it. My husband got the lobster tail and thought it was fantastic. For drinks I got a spicy mango margarita and actually didn't like it. I switched to a sweet martini like drink on the menu next and it was much better (the drink menu on their website doesn't have all the drinks so I couldn't find the exact name.) My husband enjoyed his old fashioned. On a Friday night they had live music which was a lot of fun. Most of the seating is outside. If you get bit by mosquitos a lot (like I do), wear bug spray. Service was fantastic. Our server was very attentive. He brought us complimentary hush puppies which were also delicious (I wouldn't order it on my own, but when given I ate two of them.) The restaurant has its own free parking which is a nice touch. It was busy but even though we made reservations we probably didn't need them. I'll definitely be back. read more

I read a review that they had escargot, I thought it was going to be the traditional escargot in garlic butter. The best way to describe it was a saucy garlic sauce that had escargot, lobster pieces and maybe crawfish. It had cute lobster buttery flaky roll- that was really tasty. My husband and I have walked by this place many times and it usually seems busy and gives off a welcoming/relaxed atmosphere. Yesterday, instead of going to a different restaurant we planned on going to, we ended up coming here because they had live music. Worst mistake ever. The waitress was very nice but it took almost 20 minutes to get our drinks (mind you there were not many tables filled at this point), the $22 1/2 dozen Rockefeller oysters had no flavor; and it took over an hour to get our meals. $18 shrimp tacos that had 6 grilled shrimp on top of undressed raw cabbage, and huge chunks of unripened grilled mango; no sauce to be seen. After drinking our waters within the first 25 minutes of the meal, they were not offered to be refilled again until we were done with our food. We got checked on a couple times, only one time acknowledging that it was taking a little while and the food "should be out soon," which actually meant another 25 minutes. Shrimp tacos and fish and chips should not take an hour to get to the table. And as any smart business expecting to bring back customers, wouldn't they have thought to offer some kind of compensation? Take one drink off the bill? Free dessert? Well apparently they didn't feel that was necessary. Unfortunately they lost us as returning customers and will do our best to make sure others do not make the same mistake as us. I've got a shellfish allergy, but they were still able to easily accommodate that and I can't thank them enough for that! I've recently been here twice in the last month and play it safe with the same order each time, the tuna poke which comes like Asian nacho style, which is so tasty and the perfect portion size in my opinion. The people I've gone with recently all raved about their shellfish dishes as well including the Maine lobster roll and the special of lobster BLT sliders. Our servers have always been very attentive, and the outdoor dining area has a great vibe with live music and fresh air, but also the ability to be covered up when it's too hot or too rainy. Parking is a little limited in the area, but there's a free parking garage within walking distance and dedicated parking for the restaurant just across the road, so don't let that deter you - it's definitely worth a visit! read more

I've never visited here but my parents had been multiple times and suggested it as a dinner option. Arrival & first impressions, the outdoor covered patio area is super adorably decorated for Christmas during December. It was cold but they had fires going and ended up closing the open end of the room so it warmed up nicely then. The food here was decent. I ordered the lobster BLT sliders which was a new concept for me. They had a great amount of tasty fresh lobster in them and the fries with them were pretty good as well, if a little soggier than I prefer. Mom had the lobster mac & cheese which I tried. Good portion and super creamy - I think her entree was the best of the ones we ordered. Husband got the fish & chips which was sadly overcooked in spots. Dad got a pepperoni pizza which was unfortunately the opposite, undercooked in spots. Some knocks are that the bread service advertised on the menu isn't free anymore - it's $3.99 now. Very good! We enjoyed an expresso martini, with some small plates. The whole belly clams were great and the closest to new England here in FL. The grilled octopus was grilled perfectly and tasty. Our family stopped in here after a day at Caledesi Island State Park, and the perfect beach day was followed by the perfect dinner! We ordered oysters and clams from the raw bar as well as baked clams and shrimp cocktail, and all were excellent. My husband ordered the lazy man's lobster, which was mostly claw meat, so it was all right, but my lobster tails were excellent and my sons really enjoyed their lobster mac & cheese and quesadillas. Did not have the greatest experience here given it was a reccomendation. Was let down from the parking lot to the table. We had a decent server who was barely fluent in the english language. They were in a rush to escape the interaction asap due to lack of knowledge. Clam chowder soup and coconut cream pie were highlights. The main course dissappointed. $35 for a fishy hot dog sized lobster roll(so much for the lucky lobster) and the sauce was better than the actual "blackened grouper". Went to go for a walk to digest meal after and was threatened with a car tow. We literally just overpayed for all of that and can't take a 10 minute walk down the road. We left a nice tip, but another one is, the photos on the menu are not exactly what the plates look like. The coconut cream pie was delicious, I wish we started with that. This was my first time ever eating lobster, since at the time I was with a companion who loved eating lobster...LLC did not disappoint whatsoever! The staff were incredibly friendly to us upon arrival, and the setting is definitely outdoorsy with a beautiful backdrop near the Pinellas Trail, which gives it a very homey vibe. The eating area is clean, and everything in the menu is well detailed. Now, onto the food I ate! In spite of its price, I must admit, I found myself impressed with what I ate. So, we started off with the calamari; This place clearly has fresh cuts, because I noticed that not only was it flavorful, but the calamari practically melted in my mouth while still having that fantastic crunch. Most places tend to have rubbery calamari with a questionable texture, so LLC gets major points in my book for surpassing other seafood joints with their calamari! The octopus was chewy and savory. If you know me, you know I know good octopus when I taste it. The sauce that was served with it perfectly complimented the savory. Not much to say about this one, but that's by no means a bad thing in this case. The real winner is the main course that I had; the Lucky Lobster Linguini. Aside from being one giant plethora of seafood, the sauce was flavorful without being too overwhelming, and the seafood was properly cooked and seasoned, complimented by the garlic bread that you see there (which I assume is a staple of any seafood dish in most place). I cannot begin to describe how fantastic it was. The only thing I didn't get to try was their desserts, which was a pity, but I will also mention this place serves mocktail variations of some of their drinks. Any place that's willing to be that accommodating earns them major points in my book. Overall, this is one of the best seafood restaurant experiences I've had in Dunedin, and I am genuinely amazed at how a humble little area like this has some of the best seafood around there. We started with the scallops wrapped in prosciutto. It came over a bed of greens with Boursin cheese under. They were delicious. My husband had the seafood special of lobster, clams, and mussels. I had a bowl of clam chowder and a large wedge salad. We finished with the coconut cream pie. All was delicious. Our server-Christian-was excellent! I highly recommend dining here.
