The lettuce underneath had a dressing that I wasn't too Fond of and I do think the crab cakes needed aioli or some kind of sauce on them For $21 I thought you got a lot of crab cakes and I would definitely order again. A basic lunch menu and mediocre food leave much to be desired at one of Myrtle Beach's most disappointing "resorts" #What I Liked# - The cafe is on the main floor of the hotel so it's great that you don't need to leave the grounds to get food. - The staff was generally helpful and nice despite being pretty understaffed during both of my meals here. - The price of the lunch items seemed reasonable. Spoilers: the food is...not good. #What I didn't Like# - The lunch menu is as basic as they come. Basic salad, sandwich or chicken tenders/wings. - The food is cafeteria tier. You know which side you're on just from reading that. - The sweet tea wasn't sweet at all. To be fair, this seems to be a problem at every Myrtle Beach hotel. Bottom Line - You'll enjoy eating here if you're from a small-town in a flyover state. Everyone else, just order door dash. read more

Came here expecting an upscale restaurant but was greeted with more of a diner feel. The furniture was old and worn. The menu however was for a more upscale restaurant with upscale pricing. Our server was nice but not very friendly. She didn't seem to enjoy her job or want to be there serving us, but again she was nice. I got the wings, my wife got the scallops, and my daughter the flatbread. The wings were average nothing to write home about and the flatbread tasted like undercooked dough with canned tomato sauce and cheese on it. My wife's scallops however looked pretty good and she had no complaints. It's an OK place to go if you had limited options but if you wanted to celebrate a special occasion and wanted to impress your date I'd probably pick another venue. I have really mixed reviews about this place. They do let you choose from two menus, the Bar Veranda and their menu. The first night I went here I got their cheeseburger from the bar menu. It was actually pretty good (juicy and cooked perfectly) and the fries were good too. It was quite big and I couldn't finish it. A couple night later I came in and the wait was really long due to there being a couple of events going on. I went with the crab cakes for $20 and they were not worth that at all. Very small and not really flavorful. I ordered a Brooklyn Roni which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, and pepperoni on it. It was just weird and I ended up taking most of the ricotta off. It seemed like it was a frozen pizza and they added some ricotta on it as an afterthought. Just not good at all. I had the same waitress both times and she was very nice and helpful. The views from the restaurant are gorgeous. You can see the swimming pool and ocean (before the sun goes down). If you're at the hotel and have to come here...I would consider the bar menu option. read more

Our server was new and we totally understand that, however, appetizers never arrived, we had to refill our own water, parts of our meals were. missing (I.e. Seafood from a seafood fish) . Asked the hostess about level of service and to help us to get our meals and multiple excuses were made. This is a basic hotel restaurant. Lack of paying attention to our table. I really like all of the waitstaff My biggest complaint is that I think this place is being misrepresented (and priced) as a fancy upscale restaurant... I wouldn't even call it a "cafe". This is a diner. Think sticky table-tops and little plastic thimbles of half and half. With that in mind... the food is pretty decent. This restaurant website doesn't do a great job of highlighting their special events. I would actually recommend that you go to the OpenTable app. That being said I didn't want to cook Thanksgiving dinner and my family and I drove a few hours and had a wonderful buffet style meal. Highlights are that all of the seating in the dining room has a view of the ocean. It was perfect for today when it was kind of stormy. The other highlight is the hot cocoa and dessert bar. This was in a separate room from the main dining area. There is a one hour time limit for the main dining so this extra option provides a great opportunity to sit and continue conversation. If you asked my son, the dessert bar was his favorite thing. They had cookies, Yule log cake, cheesecake, pudding cups, cupcakes, bread, pudding, and a hot cocoa bar. We spent a wonderful three hours at the event and finished with a walk on the beach. read more

Hotel food, on a whole, is usually mid grade pub food at a 5-star price. I was forced to eat at the hotel due to a time constraint. They sat me at a table with a spectacular view which, alone, was worth eating there. The waiter was very attentive and hospitable. So far, so good....then the food came. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries figuring ketchup would cover a host of sins. I have never er been happier to be proven completely wrong. It is one of the top 5 burgers I have ever eaten! No gimics, no exotic toppings...just a well seasoned and expertly cooked patty smothered in cheese and topped with bacon.....no ketchup neccessary. What an unexpected and lovely surprise. Went here V-Day, 2024. Wow, from beginning to end, George took care of us in a wonderful way. We had a cocktail then wine. For the appetizer I had (2 giant) bacon wrapped shrimp. It's no exaggeration to say the perfectly cooked shrimp were huge. . For the entree we both had surf & turf. The filet was great and I haven't had such a large tender lobster! Entering I was a bit scared as no one was seated, until we turned the corner and was relieved when there were other patrons. The decor is super outdated and looks dingy. The food however was delicious, and very flavorful. Service was great as well, the servers were all very attentive. The lunch menu is the same as you get from the bar so nothing really special there. When we ordered the bar food by the pool everything tasted good though. We did go for dinner one night though and it was excellent. My husband was let down that the menu was very small but that didn't bother me. The kids menu has a good variety of options and every single thing we ordered was delicious. So while the menu may not be large, the quality of food is on point. We didn't try the breakfast because there we heard so many bad things about it. But not trying it myself I can't really comment on it. read more

We stopped in here yesterday after arriving for our weekend beach trip and Family Reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC. This restaurant is located in the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort and offers beautiful setting with panoramic views of the beachfront of the resort including stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The Hostesses and chefs were very nice and welcoming from the time we walked in the door and the Hostesses wished us a good day on our way out. It wasn't really crowded when we arrived because it was for a later lunch but I understand that they are quite full for dinner. They have a pretty standard menu. I ordered the calamari to start with and the Turkey Club with Chips. Our waitress, Erica, was nice but it took entirely to look for us to get our food and she would be forgetful of several accompanying items and condiments we asked for when she took the order. She never really came to check on it after finally bring the food to the table. We waited for nearly 25 minutes before receiving the first food item. The Turkey Club eventually arrived way before the calamari to the point where I just asked her to forget the calamari because it had taken so long and we had other festivities to attend with our family and had a short window of time to enjoy lunch before moving on to them. I must say that I tried some of my lunch date's fries that were served with a burger of her's and they were absolutely fantastic. I actually enjoyed them more than I did the chips and we ended up swapping my chips for her fries. Everything, once received, was quite delicious. The lack of superior services makes this beautiful restaurant with delicious food quite sub-par. Overall, I think it's an excellent choice for lunch. I'm yet to sample their dinner or breakfast menus, but I love how convenience it is for those of us residing at the Hilton Resort here on Myrtle Beach during our vacation. read more

This location however is exceptional, their wings having that Southern crisp on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. As bartenders go, Dale maintains the bar (level of excellence) set by the neighborhood establishments of previous generations. He'll know your name before he serves your first drink. The only thing you do between drinks is finish the last, and you can show up at closing and still get conversation and a nightcap. Hell of a guy. read more

My parents and I were staying at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort after a funeral Veterans Day weekend 2017. This restaurant is on the second floor of the Resort Hotel. We were seated by the windows facing the ocean. Granted, by the time we went to dinner, it was already dark, so we could not see the ocean, but we had a lovely view of the unoccupied pool. The restaurant was not too busy when we sat down. I do agree with a previous review that the décor could use an update, but the chairs were very comfortable. Everything was neat and clean, and the décor was nice. The server (George) was very friendly and attentive. He was so impressive that I actually remembered his name, and I have a bad memory at times. I got the salmon with rice and asparagus, and it was wonderful. We did not get dessert as all three of us were tired and just wanted to go to bed. The restaurant was filling up as we were leaving, so it took a minute to get the bill and pay. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area or staying at the Resort. read more

Super cute little Cafe with a pleasant staff. I loved sitting by the window and enjoying breakfast with the beach as my background. On the subject of breakfast their breakfast buffet seems like the best deal because it comes with juice also. I had a waffle and a coffee and enjoyed every single bite. Skip the breakfast buffet. Quite possibly the worst breakfast buffet I've tried. Staff is very friendly, but the food was terrible. It's 2014 and if you looking for the taste of yesterday (ie. Dehydrated eggs) look no further. You can order eggs from the kitchen (from chickens) but they still use the old standby on the breakfast buffet. At least I was able to make up the lost calories from the dehydrated eggs by the protein on my coffee cup...yes...chunks. You may ask how my experience is so different than the others here. Two reasons...1) I was here for breakfast and can not speak to other meals and 2) the other 2 reviewers are prob from Des Moines or are missing their tongues! The location and presence of the giant hotel that this cafe resides in would make you think that you were in for something special.  The cafe does indeed have a view of the ocean but you are a few stories up and its all sealed in so you don't get that intimate ocean experience here, it could be a giant TV picture behind your chair if you didn't know it was a window.  The plating is great and all food looks fantastic but the taste is another story.  The Fried Green Tomato Napoleon is a mile high masterpiece but not really edible the way that it is served, you have to eat it in reduced sections and then you don't get to taste all the elements in any bite.  The Shrimp & Grits never solidified enough to eat with a fork and it was necessary to eat it with the teaspoon that came with the silverware, no tablespoon was offered.  The shrimp in the dish seemed like an afterthought, not really connected with the taste of the plate at all.  We were going to order coffee and cake but decided against because if it only looks great and doesn't taste great too, why bother?.  The service was fine with no problems. read more

This was probably the best hotel restaurant I have been to in a long time. The crab cakes are fresh and actually crab not overloaded with bread and filler. The staff is friendly and polite and the view is nice but the food is sub par. My shrimp po boy actually had defrosted cooked shrimp that were then breaded and fried, tasted like rubber. My son's kids burger had huge bun and tiny patty, not too bad of the meat, but it was neither adult's, nor kid's portion. My wife's cocktail shrimp were brought in the small wine glass (strange presentation) and they were defrosted cooked shrimp. I'm ok with previously frozen then cooked and chilled, but at restaurant that tries to be premium, it's not ok to get a bag of frozen cooked shrimp from Publix and pass it on as a delicious appetizer. read more

Was so disappointed in our evening here after I had read such good reviews. Our meal took FOREVER to come out. Waited almost an hour and a half for dinner and the place was not even busy. The waitress said that this is due to hotel room service orders. Thankfully our waitress was very nice and accommodating or else we would have left without eating. My husband ordered the tacos and his side of rice was cold. Not just warm, but actually cold. My blackened mahi was good but by the time it arrived I wasn't even in the mood to enjoy it anymore. Kids said their burgers were fine but they were out of French fries. Waitress again saved the night by boxing us desserts on the house and sending us up to our room with the rest of our food to enjoy. read more
