I had placed an online order and I appreciated the staff's attention to my notes, as well as being super helpful over the phone when I called and had some questions. In my head, I had pegged this place as too expensive for what it is; however, I felt that the prices were quite fair. Sure, paying $13 for this sandwich is expensive when compared to a subway sandwich, but it's all about the quality. I feel like at Star Provisions you can get quality, tasty food for not too bad of a price tag. The sandwich comes with either chips or fruit! Plenty of free parking in the lot. However, the overall experience became increasingly frustrating afterward. My order was repeatedly handled incorrectly. Both my partner and I ordered entrees that clearly came with fruit, yet the server tried charging extra for the fruit sides as well as the sausage for my partner's meal. When I politely asked her to double-check the menu, she refused to look and instead said she'd get a manager. Another server came over instead and confirmed that I was correct, and removed the extra charge. Unfortunately, the issues continued because my order was never marked as takeout, so everything came out plated for dine-in service. I had to explain again that I needed it packed to go. Once it was finally repackaged, a fruit side was missing for one of our meals. When I went back to ask whether fruit was included with my meal, the same server immediately went to get someone else again instead of simply answering the question. At that point, I honestly started feeling uncomfortable. I wasn't trying to get free food -- I just wanted the items that were already listed on the menu with the meals I paid for. The other employee eventually brought me the fruit and apologized on her behalf, even saying I "deserved free fruit regardless,".
