Perfect coffee shop in Cascade Heights with a LOT of Southern Hospitality. I got the more house macchiato, and a loaded grits bowl. I finished it so fast. Forgot to get a photo of it, definitely, support this place. The cook is from California, so she gets extra love, its a Cali thing. The vibe is nice. This cozy spot is such a vibe! It's in my neighborhood and I can actually walk there. Cascade Heights is becoming its own walkable shopping and dining district. This coffee shop is an absolute gem and I cannot wait to come back. The inside is absolutely gorgeous with green walls and seating and beautiful decor from black artists. I believe this might be a black-owned business. The tea I got was delicious. It was a blueberry hibiscus herbal tea, and they have sugar and honey on the side you can add to it. They had a decent amount of good options as well. The barista was super sweet and helpful and I'm really glad I stumbled upon this place. They placed really good music and kept it at a low volume so you can work or chat without being overwhelmed by really loud music like other coffee shops typically do. read more

A lovely cafe in Cascade Heights, Cafe Bartique is so worth the visit. I have been trying to get out of the house and try more local coffee shops vs. working from home indoors all of the time, and my latest visit was to Bartique. Located on a busy street, if you weren't looking for the cafe, you could possibly miss it. There's a bunch of parking available along the street and it wasn't difficult to find a spot during my visit on a weekday morning. When I walked inside, I was pleasantly surprised at the space inside. Although a bit narrow, there was a nice line of seating available inside, leaving room for over a dozen guests to sit comfortably. I was so happy to see that there were outlets lining the wooden seating near the tables, making it perfect for a solo workday. I grabbed a seat and headed to the counter to order. The menu offers some great variety without being overwhelming, which is always appreciated, especially in the morning. For my first drink, I opted for the Caan vs. Can, a butter pecan-focused drink. Let me say - this was delicious!! I was sad that I didn't get a larger size! For my second drink, I went for The Atlanta Dream, although tasty, not as good as the first, but still . I also ordered a grit bowl with pork sausage and extra bacon on the side. My grits and bacon were really good, creamy and buttery, no extra seasoning needed. My eggs were a bit overcooked and the portion was smaller than expected, but it was still a great breakfast. The team here was also really sweet and they were whipping up those drinks and bites like it was nothing. Such a wonderful spot, definitely a must-try coffee spot. read more

Cafe Bartique is such a cute, cozy coffee shop and I genuinely enjoyed my visit. I ordered the Spelman Chick -- a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant -- along with the Whew Chai (hot with oat milk), and both were amazing. The croissant was buttery and fresh, the chicken salad was flavorful without being heavy, and the chai was perfectly spiced and comforting. Everything tasted thoughtfully made, which immediately stood out. I grabbed a seat by the window and loved the vibe. It felt like a true city coffee shop but without all the noise -- calm, relaxing, and easy to settle into. **First Timer** This is such a great little café. I stumbled across it when I was walking Cascade to another appointment. Cascade Heights area has really come up in many years. Stopped by this beautiful Black-owned coffee shop and instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. The decor is stylish, warm, and thoughtfully put together. I got the Whew Chai with coconut milk and added lavender syrup -- it was so good and creamy! My sister tried the marshmallow matcha, a unique and yummy twist on matcha. Service was quick, and there's plenty of parking either on the street or in the lot just a few steps away from the shop. It's the kind of place that reminds you coffee can be more than just a drink -- it's community, culture, and creativity in a cup. read more

This place is adorable! Green walls + plants + cute, comfy furniture = TIME WELL SPENT We also went on a day where there was a live DJ and affogato offerings with the ice cream shop next door. Even with everything going on, I still had such a productive work block. There are plenty of outlets and all the making of a great study/work spot. And so now..:the food. I LOVED that they made the salmon cream cheese in house. I could taste the difference and my bagel was awesome. I wish my chai had been a tad hotter, but it did not put a damper on my experience at all. The staff were great and the service was timely (they bring your order to your table and they use actual dishes instead of disposables). The menu is fun, too! Just a solid and classy choice for chilling out and/or getting things done. As a remote freelancer, this has to be one of my favorite places to bring my laptop and vibe. read more

I always find time to stop by Cafe Bartique whenever am in the area- it's normally when I'm over there for a nail appointment as my nail shop is one of their neighbors. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the workers are always kind and polite. My favorite selection on their menu is Caan vs Can but sometimes I will grab "The Atlanta Dream". There is an assortment of options for everyone-they even have a drink in partnership with the ice cream store across the street. A wonderful addition to the Cascade Heights community. read more

I had such a great visit to Cafe Bartique in the historic Cascade Heights neighborhood! This Black-owned cafe has amazing vibes -- the decor, ambiance, and music all make it a super cozy spot. I tried the Marshmallow Matcha (Drink of the Week) and it was delicious. My sister had the Whew Chai with lavender and coconut milk, and it was amazing! The service was friendly and fast, and there's plenty of parking either on the street or in the lot next door. I also love seeing a local spot like this thriving in the community. What went well EVERYTHING! Great menu for small bites - the dip dip baby was an unexpected delight along with my "Caan Can Pecan latte". I love coming here to work and grab a coffee! I was so sad when BUZZ closed but am happy that another Black-owned place took its place. I loved the Morehouse drink, and the music is a great vibe. A lot of the people are regulars and it has a Cheers vibe to it where people have community (esp folks working remote). I work remotely and love exploring new places to post up with my laptop- especially local gems, Black-owned businesses, and women-owned cafés. That's how I stumbled across Café Bartique, and it did not disappoint. I stopped by mid-day during the week, and parking was easy with plenty of street options. Stopped in to grab a coffee the other day. I got the Atlanta Dream iced and it was so good! They put real Nutella in the drink and mixed it with the espresso so that it melted (and didn't just sit as a paste on the bottom like some shops do) which was divine! The barista was very nice and welcoming. I loved the vibe inside too, plenty of seating with tables if you wanted to stay and work or chat. I was en route so I got my drink to go but I'd love to come back and get something to eat here as well! read more

As a Cascade resident, it's so nice to have another coffee shop again! Not only is this conveniently located, ownership has taken pride in adding their own FLAVOR to the space and the items served. Upon entry Marlana was warm and friendly. I ordered a regular black coffee (I know I'm am no fun) which was piping hot and perfect. After spending a few hours working I ordered the Turkey Chili (love the protein variety!) and a Turtle cookie to go! We loved Café Bartique! The place was super welcoming with a relaxing vibe and amazing coffee. I had the avocado toast--it was honestly one of the best I've ever had! My husband got the Spelman Chick (chicken salad sandwich), and both were delicious. I really liked that they offer fresh fruit as a side option--such a nice touch! But the best part was the people. There is a nice menu with coffees, of course, teas, and pastries. They also offer light bites and sandwiches including croissants and clubs. I had the Spelman Chick. This place is truly magical and easily one of my favorite hideaways in Atlanta. I'm most productive here regardless of what I'm working on, personal projects, professional work, vibing out. Wish they were open when I was in school! To my surprise, I came in today and saw that it's graduation season and graduates + alumni receive 15% off today (5/15/25). This was my first time in cafe bartique. I walked in and saw how nice it looked and homey the vibes were nice. However i wasn't greeted when i walked in but hey thats fine. when i got to the counter the brownskin lady with long braids had a very bland personality kind of attitude like. i asked her what are the most popular drinks she says "the Morehouse and lavender first two at top" with attitude.. im like okayyy. so she calls my name for my order and im standing there waiting to see which is mine and she just rudely points to it without saying anything. SO customer service 4/10. my drink was good! and the croissant was good too! However the light skin women with the curly hair was very nice. At the end of the day its early in the morning and people don't want to be greeted with an attitude. read more

Let's start with free parking lol. I'm on a mission to visit black owned coffee shops in Atlanta & surrounding areas. Loved the customer service, the atmosphere, & decor! It all felt very warm! The sandwich I ordered was tasty and plated nice, the chai latte I ordered wasn't the best I've had, but next time I will try something else. Ultimately, I loved my experience at this black owned cafe! I discovered a new area in Atlanta and will definitely be back for their live music and also visit other businesses in the area. read more

New coffee shop in Cascade Heights. This has been my go-to place since they opened I've already been 3 times in one week. Love the drink options including the Morehouse Macchiato and the Dr. Williams which is mocha based drink. Really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich as well. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. I watched one table become visibly irritated, while another guest stopped a server to ask if the food being carried out was theirs because they had apparently been waiting over an hour. The fried green tomatoes and sweet heat wings were really good, and I started to rethink my initial assessment of the restaurant. Everything went downhill from there. My "Rich Boy" sandwich itself was good, but it came with completely unseasoned fries. When I mentioned that I was supposed to have the "Rolex" fries, the server told me the plain fries were what I got. After clarifying with another server, they brought out the actual "Rolex" fries, which appeared to just be fries with a little parmesan and parsley on top. Supposedly they were truffle fries, but there wasn't even a hint of truffle flavor. My partner ordered the veggie sausage, which was overcooked and dry. Their eggs came out over easy instead of over medium, and the "signature grits" were more like cream cheese with a little bit of grits mixed in. We were told more grits would be brought out, but they never came. Another person in my party ordered the Southern seafood pasta, which had literally one piece of spinach in it. When she asked about it, the server responded that there was "more spinach coming." At that point, it became clear that Barney's is selling the illusion of luxury in order to justify premium prices for subpar food and service. It really was a TikTok trap after all. To make matters worse, when the check came, we were charged an additional $1.50 for eggs that already came with the meal. The explanation was that the eggs "came from the shell." Others in my party were also charged extra for liquor on top of the listed menu price for their drinks. Overall, I absolutely did not enjoy my experience here, and I will not be returning. Oh, and that other party that was visibly irritated with the wait had to wait even longer because there was a hair in their food.

This was kind of irritating and my daughter had already peeped this as we were standing in line waiting for our sandwiches with our sides on a tray getting cooler and cooler. The line was long and this will likely be the case a lot of the time so this doesn't work well. My daughter had a special order of beef taquitos that had to come out later so you know her sides were cold. When she requested new sides or to warm them up she was met with an attitude by one of the workers so that didn't go over well. This was weird to us because the food shoud be warm at the very least, so customer service was lacking there but they did honor her request. If they are going to keep this cafeteria line style setup, we all thought the meats and entrees should be first and then sides so as to avoid having lukewarm or cold sides because all four of us had cold sides by the time we sat down after getting get our drinks and sauces and stuff. And sides should come out together with the special orders so the food is not cold. But hey, I know I'm not Lewis, but yall got my two cents anyway Overall, we had delicious food in a nice, clean establishment. And on the plus side, the Beltline is literally a few steps away!
