I visited Cafe Bastille for brunch today, and it was packed--probably because it was Easter Sunday. The wait was about 30 minutes for a table, but honestly, who can complain? Good things come to those who wait. We were seated inside. The dining room is a bit loud and slightly warm, but it's beautifully designed and has a great atmosphere. Our server, Deanna, was fantastic--attentive and friendly despite how busy it was. We started with iced lattes, which were delicious--smooth, flavorful, and not bitter at all. For an appetizer, we ordered the French toast bites: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the whipped cream on the side was perfect. For my main, I had the smoked salmon with chive cream cheese on a Jerusalem bagel... and all I can say is wow. Even with the busy dining room, you could tell there was real care put into the dish. It was beautifully presented and tasted even better. The bagel had the perfect crisp exterior, and the sesame flavor really came through--an ideal base for the salmon and cream cheese. My sister ordered the avocado toast with a side of smoked salmon, and it was just as gorgeous and delicious. I've seen some complaints about food taking a while, but we waited about 20 minutes for the appetizer and another 20 for our mains--and I was completely fine with that. When I'm at brunch, I don't want to feel rushed. I want to relax, chat, and enjoy the experience. If you're looking for something quick, go to McDonald's. Very disappointing first time experience for such a hyped-up place. The wait for the food was extremely long, (after placing an order) we finished all our drinks/water and coffee before anything even arrived. Then our kid's blueberry pancakes came out with a long hair.... They apologized and remade them, but still... disgusting. The portions were tiny and absolutely not worth the prices. They were already out of crepes at a French café, which is ridiculous, so we had to quickly order something else. The $26 "Truffle Croque Madame" was basically two pieces of bread with melted cheese, one tiny egg, a thin slice of saved ham, and a handful of greens with two baby tomatoes. Honestly felt like a joke of a plate. Such a disappointment! Steak and eggs tasted okay, but again, the portion size was extremely tiny for a man. Somehow this all turned into a $138 bill with an automatic 20% service charge included. I had a really nice breakfast experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, making it a great place to start the day. Café Bastille is located in Weston in the Town Center. We are fans of Café Bastille from their location in Fort Lauderdale. We are so glad to see that they now have a location in West Broward so no matter what part of town you're in - you have a Café Bastille near you. What impressed me was the service and quality of food were exactly the same. The food is on another level. Their baked goods are so fresh and delicious and their coffee options are amazing. Elizabeth' attendance work was relaxed and pleasant, with clear communication. We had Dubai hot chocolate with a side of espresso and a hot Chai latte to start: All much liked. Two drinks, two meals, and one croissant cost us about $90. I understand the prices, however, when we opened the croissant sandwich, there wasn't as much filling as we expected. The crème brûlée croissant was the most interesting; it was delicious, with a crispy exterior and crème filling. The matcha mostly tasted like milk. They had impossible sausage you can ask for which was really nice for vegetarians. If you don't mind the high prices, this is a nice spot with great service. Came here for Sunday brunch. This place is popular as I can see. There are no reservations for brunch, only walk-in. We waited around 45 minutes as we were told. Our waitress was nice and she kept checking in us. I know it's not her fault, since she wasn't in charge of bringing our drinks out, but we waited a long time for our drinks. As for food, the wait time was normal. We ordered the monkey bread, pistachio croissant, steak hash, breakfast croissant, and Mediterranean omelet. Everything was tasty. Monkey bread had the perfect amount of sweetness. The steak was cooked well and they gave you a good amount. The omelet and breakfast was delicious. My family and I have been obsessed with this new breakfast spot. Our kids wake up early so we arrive as soon as they open (0800) otherwise we would probably have a long wait. It gets very busy very early but I can see why. It's very cute and has indoor and outdoor seating and the food is amazing. I have been ordering the shakshuka every time I go and I order it with the side of avocado and sausage (which are so yummy!). It also comes with a Jerusalem bagel which I love because it's on the thinner side and great for dipping in the sauce. My husband also loves the Israeli breakfast since it's low carb and well balanced and tastes great. It's great that they carry a variety of drinks including cocktails which I haven't had myself but have heard they are well made and pair perfectly with their food. I ordered the ham Eggs Benedict with bacon and potatoes (so good), which was delicious and very filling, though I wish it had been a little warmer. My friends enjoyed the French toast, blueberry pancakes with a side of egg, and the Parisian omelette. The drinks were okay. At $10, the pistachio latte was mostly espresso and not as milky as I prefer. The biggest downside was the wait. We were told 40 minutes but waited closer to an hour. I feel like Weston definitely needed a new brunch spot and I am so happy Cafe Bastille picked Weston for a new location. The cafe is super cute and clean. Because of the rising cost to eat out I hold restaurants to the highest standard when it comes to the food abd service. With that said this place definitely delivered on the food. Everything was absolutely delicious and I have to say the coffee here was some of the best I've had, but when a party of 4 spends easily $200 and our food was not brought out at the same time and I mean it was 4 different times we had to wait for our table to be completely serviced then that's a problem. Yes! This place was busy but that's no excuse for not getting our food all together as others were getting theirs. I might come here once a month because everything on the menu has been amazing so far and the staff is always polite and friendly. It was a beautiful day, but it was scorching hot out (not a complaint because it's South Florida and it was just one of those days). Our amazing server Josh was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the Frank's Famous Hash and it did not disappoint. I also wanted something sweet so I shared the Dulce De Leche French Toast which was *chef's kiss*. I also couldn't leave without getting their fresh juice "The Immunity". Beautiful brunch spot with great food and standout service from our waiter, Dillon. He was super attentive, polite, and truly made the experience better. The gentleman in the light blue suit who appeared to be the maître d' was also wonderful. We had the turkey benedict, croque madame, and blueberry pancakes and they were flavorful and delicious. The pistachio latte and strawberry matcha were solid. We got a few pastries to go and enjoyed them throughout the week. Nutella croissant was especially good. It was crowded as expected and it was hard to hear each other despite sitting side by side at the bar. I don't mind if the food is good. Two issues: the benedict arrived completely cold, which was disappointing. Thankfully the flavor was good. Also, a different man who appeared to be a manager said "yes" when we asked for syrup that never came with pancakes but he never followed through. We overheard him tell a waitress to "smile" and continued walking right past the syrups. I hope he genuinely forgot and it wasn't because he felt too important, but we did feel ignored. This restaurant had only been open for a few days when we deiced to try it. It was really busy and we had to wait almost half an hour for a table. The server greeted us immediately and took our drink order. We were seated outside (and in the shade) which was nice. I ordered the spicy bowl and my wife ordered an omelette. We enjoyed both dishes immensely and the portion size was above average. The server was attentive and was able to manage several tables without seeming overwhelmed or stressed out. For dessert, we ordered the monkey bread and the croissant. The monkey bread was fantastic. I only took a small bite of the croissant so I can't really speak to that one. The only issue was the prices of the some of the entrees. I thought that some of the prices were a little high. However, it is located in Weston and that's part of it. At first impression the Bastille new French breakfast restaurant in Weston Towne Center seems to be full and phenomenal. By the constant epic line that is always remaining outside. However, when you actually get in and get sat. You remain sitting at your table for a good 2 to 3 minutes not being welcomed, not being acknowledged, not even with water. However, everybody looks like they're doing so much because there's so many people walking around and moving around you would think that they were soooo busy. But in reality they're all lost doing nothing and it's truly like looking at deer in the headlights. I had to flag someone down to get acknowledged and hopefully serve. I was not very successful as I was advised, they had no idea whom our sever was and at least they offered us water. The table to the right of us shared that they had the same situation and that a second table was sat and acknowledged and got drinks and food way before them. What a wonderful first impression.. Then we go to order our food, so apparently the kitchen cannot by any means make any modifications to meet anybody's needs or wants. Which in reality is the restaurant telling me that you order what you order ..like it or not .. you will get, what you get.. you can you eat it or you don't. One of the parties at the table ordered the classic French toast and that came out very beautiful with a lot of fruits on top however the person does not eat fruit so all of that had to be removed immediately. I tried to order an egg white Mediterranean omelette well done. And upon the plate or meal arriving at first glance I realize that the eggs whites were severely runny and raw. And I got the impression of wanting to initially throw up. Hence the well done request. Still kept my mouth shut didn't say anything as I cut into the Omelette some more, I realize that the egg whites were truly uncooked and raw. Sadly, at no point in time did anyone check in once the food arrived to ensure that everything was ok. Really, come to think of at no point in the visit did Anyone come by the table to check in on anything. I had to get up from the table and flag down the manager and try to rectify the situation of my raw egg white omelette. I just requested to please have the raw food removed from the table and ordered a simple pistachio croissant. However, the highlight of the brunch was there blueberry mule. At least I could say that the drink was good. It seems that this restaurant has a hype from being in Miami and in other locations. I imagine it's also because so many people choose places these days from Instagram and from all the hype and social media. That 9 times out of 10 are lies. I would qualify this as a questionable choice and try it at your own risk. Definitely a Miami vibe type of atmosphere. Not a good fit in Weston in my humble opinion. In conclusion the place lacks structure, order, and overall customer service. Which are huge factors or should be factors of a any restaurant. It took a while to place an order and then took another hour to get the food. Tried the salmon omelette, it was decent but the truffle wasn't noticeable and the portion was small. The side potatoes were tasty with seasoning. The Dulce de Leche french toast was delicious. The pistachio pancakes were cold and a bit too sweet. There is outdoor seating but the tables are a bit too close together and crowded. The indoor decor was stylish and welcoming. This is the one in Weston. The wait was 25 minutes, not too bad since it's their first day open. It was really busy! The staff was great, even though they were working out the bugs on the new computer system. We saw the waiter searching for us, asking people if this was their order, and it took a long time to find us with coffee. Our food came out a at different times, (3 of us). Mine first and it was barely warm. Then the next person and we had to ask several times for the açaí bowl for the last person. I was done by the time she got hers. Because of that they comped the extra croissant we ordered and the açaí bowl! Now the food!! The coffee was delicious. Nice and hot. The cappuccinos are served with a small piece of French toast, which was very good. I ordered a vanilla mocha coffee. It was very good. We ordered two croissants for the table. Crookie croissant, which is a dangerous combination of a croissant with a chocolate chip cookie baked on top. The other was almond croissant with some kind of cream filling in the middle. That was amazing. They were supposed to be warm but they weren't. I ordered this sweet potato waffle, and a side of turkey bacon. The sweet potato waffle was very good, there was fruit on top, crunchy pieces, and the butter was so good! I would highly recommend this one. The other person got a cheeseburger and truffle fries. The truffle fries were so good. The hamburger was tasty also, she said. The last person got the Acai ball and said it was delicious also. The manager came over and asked how everything was, when we told her we're good in the bad she took off the charge for the bowl and the to go croissant. Very good customer service. Visited Saturday with my son, the restaurant was crowded but we were seated quickly. Took awhile for someone to come with water, then a little longer for drink orders, then even longer to get drinks and take food orders, and an eternity to get the check. The food was expensive for breakfast( although similarly priced as the other three restaurants of this type in Weston). The food arrived in shifts, a few rolls, then my son's pancakes, then after a (much) longer time bacon and sausage. The bacon was cold and limp. (maybe because of the wait time?), my son said the sausage was good . The pancakes (Blueberry that relied more on a small amount of compote at the center to achieve that name rather then actually containing the fruit) were under cooked in the middle. The pastries were not fresh. While we waited, two people were seated, and then left after (at least) 15 minutes wait time when they were not served. When the hostess asked about it, the waiter stated, they never sat down. The atmosphere is fine, indoor and outdoor seating in the Town Center. Busy, Decent Atmosphere, Fairly Expensive, Food and Service were lacking. There are better options near by read more

Newer place and still working kinks out. 25min wait when I arrived. It was just me and they had a full service bar so I snuck in on the 1-seater there. A bit strange the bar tenders do not take care of you- they assign servers to this? And so the servers are serving from behind you making it a bit awkward to move out of the way for them to help you. Food: anyone with tree nut allergies, limits the menu quite a bit- cannot have any croissants. Coffee drinks are pistachio lattes and almond lattes or plain lattes or matches with similar nut nuances. Got the Parisian omelet. Was supposed to have mushrooms and ham Gruyère cheese in it. Claim is 4-egg omelet. If they're quail eggs, 4 eggs seems about right. Regular eggs- that was about a 2.5 egg omelet. The omelet came rolled up. And the cheese filling was not very warm- cheese was not melted. Flavor profile is there- just needs longer cooking time. Omelet came with multigrain bread. Mgr came by & tried to say I cannot have the bread w/my tree nut allergy because sesame seeds are a nut. I had to correct him-- those are seeds and that should be fine for me to consume. So they need a little work with allergens- maybe a QR code for the customer to review? My server was great, very polite, checked in periodically, etc. Ambiance: site was COLD. They have outdoor seating but no heaters. Indoors is cinder block. Basic tables, no rugs or carpets, etc. to provide a little warmth. Overall, pretty good place. Again anyone with allergies may want to be cautious here. Was this place good enough to make a pilgrimage from Plantation to Weston? No. I got a place much closer to me that makes even better bfast options for similar price. I would not go out of my way to dine here like that. Be aware that they add a mandatory 20% service charge (on all checks) to their already very high prices. That, coupled with the fact that they, of course, ask for a tip in addition (while saying nothing about the mandatory charge when presenting the bill) makes their prices ridiculous. The food was good. The service was good. The drinks were good. So, if you are willing to pay up 40% or more than the menu prices, you might want to check it out.
