The pictures can speak for themselves‍! From my personal experience, they have the best servers and kitchen crew... Seriously! We personally had Melanie as our server. She is such a sweetheart. Saw on Instagram that this place is now open for lunch. So a couple of us decided to check it out. The restaurant is small and pleasant. It was mostly empty when we visited. The server was informative and happy to answer any questions (or ask in the kitchen if she was unsure). The lunch menu has a lot of items on it and some are vegetarian (yay). I ordered the Asian salad and it was good, just fine, but nothing special. One of my dining companions ordered the same with shrimp and was disappointed with the size and how they appeared on the salad. My other companion ordered the soup of the day, which was lentil, and said it was outstanding. Overall, considering the price and what we wound up getting, it was fine. I'd go back, but think it could be better. Just one random guys opinion of course. read more

I have been here a few times since the new owners took over around a year ago. I waited to write my new review to give them a chance. I wanted a Cabernet Sauvignon tonight. The bartender recommended one. I wish I remember the name but anyhow....I sampled it first. I did not think it tasted that good. So he said I would like one that was lighter. Actually, I do like bold wines, not light ones. I tried the other one he recommended and it was so acidic. I could not take more than one sip. My friend ordered the first one so I did as well. It was ok. The house salad is still good, but if you compare it to what I posted years ago, it is quite different. Look how beautiful it was. I am a salad fanatic and none was ever prettier, fresher or tasted better than that one. It was so unique. I want it back! I ordered the branzino recently and it was not as good as it was years ago. Servers were bringing entrees to tables near us and one totally smelled like fish. To me, that is not a great sign. My friend ordered a caesar salad and they gave her a regular salad with caesar dressing. It was very confusing. They do pay careful attention to allergies so that is a positive. We asked for the check and around twenty minutes later, we received it. The atmosphere is so nice at the bar. It does feel very French. read more

I had escargots berginion and they had cherry tomatoes and mashed potatoes. Really! My skirt steak came out like fajitas and the Chilean sea bass had a tomatoe like sauce. Good food but service was quite slow. While the restaurant was about half full when we got there, the food took an extended time to come out. Also, the wait staff was not attentive to our table as nobody came around to refill drinks until the main course came (which was about 50 minutes). I had a nice evening dinner with some friends here last night. While I had been looking forward to dining at this restaurant for some time, and maybe because of that, it did not quite live up to my high expectations. The place is very nicely appointed. I quite appreciated the cozy "romantic" atmosphere that they have created out of this strip mall location: it was very charming. The service was equally on point. We were a larger group of 8, and our waitress was super nice and made a real effort recommending and explaining the ins and outs of all that we each wanted to order. She was phenomenal. Several of us had wine, and I am happy to report that they do carry several options by the glass! That was great, not just the one-all-take-it- or- leave it white or red type! I had a choice and loved that! Now The food : it was overall good. I was not able to take pictures of everything that was ordered but some of us had steak (was returned to be cooked, then over cooked but she ate it anyway) , some had fish (was a bit dry but flavorful), some had duck ( also said a bit dry but flavorful), one had the braised ribs (she sent it back it was too tough- and they took it off the bill and offered her a free delicious creme brûlée as a courtesy) so little things like this showed me that it was not just my food that was off... I ordered 2 appetizers: the first was a delicious pear filled with goat cheese: this was spectacular. Even the presentation (plating) was amazing: very creative and such good flavor: get it if you can, it's on their "specials" menu: Sooo good!! And then... I had the lobster ravioli in a lobster sauce... they were too salty for me, so I just had a couple and didn't take any leftovers. So one spectacular + one meh dish gives them a solid 3 stars for everything else...Little things like this, make it a good place but taper your expectations. Now, given the amount of amazing reviews- it may have been a one-off night for the chef- we are all human... and it is worth mentioning that the variety of food that they have in their menu makes it interesting enough to want me to go back! But with a new moderate 3-star expectation! Oh and don't forget to order their bread!! Order it at the very beginning because it's freshly baked, so it takes a while to arrive, but when it does, it's freshly off the oven and comes with a delicious honey butter: Yumm!! This was my first time dining here and I was excited to try something new but I was not as thrilled as I wanted to be. To start, I made a reservation and was seated promptly in a very dark room with a few tables that were already seated with families and kids. I don't know why they fill the rooms when the rest of the restaurant wasn't very busy. The room became very loud and it was hard to hear the conversation we were trying to have with another couple that we were dining with as well as our server. The server didn't tell us about any daily specials but did give a daily menu. I didn't find her to be warm or friendly and she seemed a little iirritated by the noise level in the room. The food was just alright. The flatbread was weak on toppings and flavor. The Meatball Appetizer was weird as the meatballs were sitting on something that resembled mashed potatoes. I ordered the monkfish which was on the special menu but it was clearly pre frozen which is the same as my husband felt about his pistachio crusted snapper. He even felt his had a bit of a funky taste so he didn't finish his fish or pasta. We were not thrilled and would probably look for a different French seafood and steak restaurant next time. read more

Sadly one of our favorite places has changed ownership, and this was our first time back since then. We had a female waitress that spoke English and French. She seemed irritated with me for any questions I had. I was in a party of six and everyone at the table noticed. I wasn't asking anything that was a special request. Maybe I reminded her of someone she does not like. The pear and goat cheese appetizer was still delicious. The rest not so much. We had ordered scallops that some tasted like ammonia, two entrees of monk fish that were not really eaten because the two people said it did not taste good, lamb chops that I was told were just okay, and two rib eyes that I was told were good. We did see the server we always have during our dinner, we are hoping he will be able to guide the new owners since he was with the original owners for so long. Perhaps the new owners changed vendors. We requested bread for the table like normal, and we were told by the waitress that there is a charge per piece of bread. We did notice the menu prices went up, and we completely understand in this economy, however it's poor taste to charge per piece of bread and to not have the same quality of food that this place once offered. For the sake of this once great treasured restaurant, I hope they are able to rectify the challenges we experienced. read more

Really wanted to like this place but had a very unfortunate experience. We walked in on a Wednesday night. Place was mostly empty. Cute design with more upscale feel than I'm used to in Cooper City. Service was prompt and friendly enough. Menu is on the more pricy side for the area. We had the brusselsprouts and the octopus appetizers. Both were imaginative and quite tasty. We ended up waiting close to an hour for entrees to come out. Weren't in a rush but that felt really long for an empty dining room. My guests dishes came out fine. Steak frites and the snapper both were pretty good. I ordered the pork chop which was over cooked on the outside and completely raw / cold on the inside. I'm not sure how a cut of meat can come out raw when it took so long to come out. I've been violently ill for the past 18 hours. They apologized and offered to recook the dish. I was too grossed out to revisit that. They ended up comping my entree that I'd had a few bites of. There seemed to be big disconnect with the kitchen and front of house teams. The staff made subtle empathetic complaints to us about the kitchen, which I now completely agree with. I'm very unhappy with this place and would strongly recommend staying away. read more

We walked in dressed for occasion, and we placed by the bar. It reminded me of the local café. Picture included plastic tablecloths covered by white plastic seats and loud area. Plus I would give the atmosphere a one rating if you sitting in the bar, you feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and are treated as a second class citizen. The food was excellent however if you want bread, it's a three dollar charge. We both had fish, excellent fish. Their dessert menu is limited and their appetizers. We're wonderful except that they are not good for sharing. It's a one off. I'm not sure I want to travel the distance to to get here Even though the food was excellent. If you do make reservations make sure that they do not see you in the bar the place is loud and it's hard to hear the people next year but the food indeed is good. read more

A very romantic date night kind of restaurant. They have a dimmed light kind of atmosphere. We made reservations prior to coming and were attended as soon as we arrived. Their menu changes I believe weekly so it is nice to know we will be able to try new dishes if we decide to come back. Bread is complimentary and was served with a delicious side of butter. We also ordered escargot and fried goat cheese which were very tasty. For drinks we got their house white wine which was really great and smooth. For the main dishes we got two different types of fish. They both came with different sides. I really enjoyed mine which came with pasta. It was really filling and we took some to go since we wanted to leave some room for dessert. The dessert was a salted caramel cheesecake which was good but a little too sweet for my taste. From our first greeting and being directed to our booth to the wine selection and fabulous menu options. My boyfriend originally chose this place because of my love for Chilean Seabass but after reading into the Bronzini stuffed with lump crab I just had to change my mind! My friend had the Bree cheese salad and I had the brussel sprouts. Just these appetizers alone is enough excuse for me to return. I had the duck as my main entree. It was fork tender and well seasoned. For dessert...I had bread pudding. I found it very amusing to see how they presented it. It's served in between a doughnut. I took it home to share with my son. It was really good! Service: It was excellent. The host and waiter made us feel welcome. They were very attentive and courteous. Ambiance: The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is due to their CARPET. The moment I stepped in...my nose started to get congested and my eyes watery. Old Carpets do that for me. I was really looking forward to dinner at this place as it had been over 5 years since the last time we came here and back then dinner was memorable. This time around the experience was ok. I'd give wit a 3.5 stars but going with 3 at Yelp. There were some highlights mixed with some aspects that made the overall experience average. The appetizers were excellent. Highly recommend the Octopus and the Brussels sprouts. The entrees were a bit disappointing presentation wise and, in the case of the lamb shank, flavor and cooking technique. Same with dessert: the creme brûlée was cold and clearly was not finished before being served. The interior is overdue for a facelift. Carpets needs to go and in general the decor needs to be upgraded. It will be sometime before I consider coming back. read more

Pleasant small Restaurant which in French may be described as un petit restaurant du coin or a neighbourhood bistrot . The Dover sole caught my eye. As so often here I asked for grilled but that wasn't possible. Once it was served I was pleasantly surprised by the taste however the absence of European butter spoiled a tad the pleasure. The culinary freedom of the chef was a small offense to the quality of this kind of fish. In short good restaurant but not a high flyer. Prices are reasonable. read more

For entrees, we ordered the branzino filet special, the ribeye bone-in steak, and two chicken schnitzels. The entrees were also very good.. We order four desserts: bread pudding, limoncello, chocolate mousse, and panna cotta. All of the desserts were delicious, except for the panna cotta, which was grainy. In all my years of making onion soup & eating it in restaurants, I have never had sugar in french onion soup! Breaded snapper dish was better. Female server was curt & quite unfriendly.
