Those hash browns are crispy, golden, and officially the best around. My husband got the pork chops and eggs and I immediately experienced breakfast envy. Those chops are tender, juicy, and honestly the best pork chops I've had in Florida. Good thing they come with two, because sharing is caring and I cared a lot in that moment. Will we go back? This place is a diner for sure, and I loved it. It is located on Orange Drive between Davie Road and the Turnpike in a small shopping center. The service was excellent and the menu is so huge it was very hard to decide because everything looked delicious. It was not too busy on a Wednesday for an early lunch. I chose the Mexican Omelet, and my daughter had the Smoked Salmon eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. I liked the very generous portions and the prices were quite reasonable. Food came out pretty quickly and served with a smile as well as checking to see if we needed anything else. Orange juice was fresh squeezed and served cold. I will definitely be back to try the Oreo Waffles or the Red Velvet Cheesecake Pancakes. They make almost everything that is fresh baked. They serve breakfast all day as well as lunch until 2pm. I had read about this eatery and wanted to try it. So, I went with two gal pals for lunch on a Saturday. The place closes at 2 p.m. so I guess at noon it wasn't a surprise that it was more than half empty. (I think it caters to a heavier breakfast crowd.) My friend and I each got the French toast combo with eggs (she had sausage and I had bacon). Our other friend got shrimp pasta. The meals were OK. Nothing bad and nothing really fabulous. The prices were OK, too. Not too expensive, but not cheap either. My meal with no beverage was $18, including tax and tip. Portions were average. The place is in need of some serious upgrading. I stopped in as I was walking back to my car from the Orange Blossom Festival. The festival foods didn't catch my fancy and I was looking for a simple sandwich. It doesn't look like much from the outside but I saw a cop walking out and they know the best places to eat. The inside is dated but I kind of liked it. I sat at the counter and there is a dining room in the rear. When you walk in there is a bulletin board tacked full of advertisements for businesses and events signifying this as a place the locals go. The Garden Grill serves breakfast and lunch and the food is inexpensive. I had an okay cup of coffee and the roast beef club with fries. I wasn't a fan of their fries but that is fine because I shouldn't be eating them anyway. The sandwich was stacked and I had plenty of leftovers. If I lived in Davie I'd probably eat here a lot. As it was, I was passing through. If your a local this is your hometown spot, but no need to make a special trip. read more
