This is a great place for any occasion! I've been here a few times for breakfast/brunch and the food is always top notch. This time we went on Labor Day so they were busy but we get sat fairly quickly and the server was nice and tentative. They also have a fun looking bar (great for watching sports!). The pork tenderloin and wood plank salmon are quite good. The pork tenderloin sauce is more on the sweet side rather than the savory side so I order it on the side - lol. The sauce is very good but includes dates which are sweet. The plank salmon is usually cooked to perfection but, it depends on the chef. I experienced swings in food quality depending on who is in the kitchen. The salmon, ahi app, and quesadillas to mention a few vary on the kitchen staff. Went for Sonoma County Restaurant Week Dinner Food - 5/5. The restaurant week menu was unique from their regular menu and its quality shows that it was a labor of love. Risotto had a perfect al dente bite with a rich, creamy taste. The mushrooms and microgreens added much needed texture and freshness to the rich dish. The steak was cooked a little more than I would have liked and the meat itself was alright in quality but the accompanying chimichurri sauce was fantastic. The refreshing and earthy flavor of the herbs mixed with the hint of spice really gave life to the steak. The vegetables were amazing being cut into a uniform shape, fork tender and flavored with just the right amount of butter and seasoning. Fries were crispy with plenty of crunch. The crème brulee cheesecake had the best of both being creamy, sweet and soft. Calamari had a good bite to them with a decent level of crunch. Service - 4/5. Friendly and accommodating. We were not the most hungry and shared our restaurant week courses and they were more than welcome to it by offering extra plates. Value - 5/5. The restaurant week dinner was only $35 for the delicious three course meal. You could really taste the culinary expertise and love put into the menu and it was absolutely worth the price. Opening a restaurant is a tough business especially since there is so much competition but Café Bellini has lots of chutzpah as they opened during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and they are still going strong! I've eaten many meals at Café Bellini from breakfast to dinner and everything in between as well as happy hour (cocktails & food) and have never been disappointed. This is also our go-to restaurant at work for birthday lunches. I love that they have a variety of foods so there's always something for everyone! My favorite, besides breakfast any time of day, has always been their patty melt but I substitute the American cheese with Swiss cheese but recently I tried the short rib grilled cheese and let's just say that's the new favorite! Their meals a large so you won't leave hungry. I don't think I've ever had a meal I didn't like here, it's always been good. Yes, their prices have gone up but so has every other restaurant but that just goes with the current times where everyone is feeling the high cost of living, going out to eat, etc. And they are very accommodating of you want to bring a birthday cake for your group to have after your meal. The service was quite good, however it took them over 30 minutes to cook our dishes. We had a signature omelette, a chorizo hash, and deep fried cauliflowers. The chorizo hash was dry and was essentially a scrambled egg with chorizo, served on top of potato cubes. However, the omelet was amazing. There were layers and layers of different flavor, topped with a relatively mild salsa. We enjoy the fried cauliflower, especially with the Siracha sauce. I've been to the Cafe Mimosa in Santa Rosa and remembered how good it was and thought this might be worth a try. Delicious! I stopped by for brunch on a Saturday afternoon around 12 p.m. and was pleasantly surprised I didn't have to wait at all before my party of four was seated. We requested to be seated outdoors, and I commend that COVID guidelines were observed everywhere I looked. Between my wife and I, we had a Bloody Mary, waffles, and a tri-tip sandwich. The Bloody Mary was pretty standard -- not special enough for a strong recommendation from me, but still a good brunch cocktail if you're looking for something other than a bellini. The waffles were freshly made and topped with a decent amount of fruit, and I liked the whipped butter served on the side. Lastly, the tri-tip was stacked with a mountain of meat, and the au jus was delicious for dipping the bread -- not too salty. The coleslaw side that came with the dish was a little on the bland side, but that wouldn't hold me back from ordering the sandwich again. Overall a good place for brunch. Unlike Downtown Petaluma where you have to circle around the block a few times for sparse parking, the parking lot at Cafe Bellini makes it easy to show up at brunch without this additional hassle. read more
