We headed here for Sunday brunch. It was easy to get a table and we were warmly greeted. Our waiter was not very friendly or super attentive. I ordered coffee and it was lukewarm. How can that be? I ordered the spinach omelette with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. It was super disappointing on the verge of bad. The egg itself was thin and brownish when it should have been a fluffy yellow. It had very little filling. Burnt crispy bacon inside with little of the other ingredients. The side of potatoes were precooked and unappetizing. My partners caprese omelette was much better. Very flavorful with pesto on top. I enjoyed the bread and ice cold butter and jam the most. If you need a brunch place you will find plenty of open tables. I don't understand paying 12-13 dollars or more for an omelette, opening it up and there is three tablespoons of filling! Why is that acceptable?? I don't like this place and will never go back. read more

Heard this place was good and totally forgot about it. It was such a beautiful Sunday afternoon we wanted somewhere close with patio seating. When we walked in the restaurant was empty but from what I can see it was very pretty. Manager proceeded to take us outside and wha-la there were about 6 tables outside all were occupied but one. Everything sounded good on the menu. I ordered their Surf and Turf Benedict and boyfriend ordered their Classic Eggs Benedict...both came with a side of potatoes. The eggs were poached perfectly but I must say I am not a fan of my order, thought the beef needed some flavor and my turf needed a little more lobster and less risotto. For the price we paid, I felt the dish could have been better. The best part of the meal was the Classic Eggs Benedict. We also had a side of fruit which came in an iceberg lettuce, I get the concept but the fruit looked a bit sad with tiny pieces not very fresh looking watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries, and pineapples. May need to check out their lunch or dinner items but for now let's just say Cafe Benedict isn't my breakfast place. Staff were all very friendly, great service! read more

I love Café Benedicte. Their menu choices are awesome. I actually really like their bar. They do live Piano sometimes which is my favorite. The owner is so down to earth very friendly gentleman. Its also a very pretty restaurant will visit soon. read more

Went here on Saturday March 3. My 2 1/2 year old daughter accidentally broke a glass. The manager, Vahid Navissi cleaned it up. I apologized and offered to pay. Several minutes later he quickly came back to the table. At that time my daughter was in my wife's lap and she was touching the window shade. He grabbed my daughters hand and moved it toward the blind and back toward my wife's shoulder and said angrily, "This is mine" (meaning the shade) and "this is yours" meaning my wife. I chose not to engage him at that point since it would have made the situation much worse. This is very disturbing behavior for an adult toward a 2 1/2 year old child for such a minor offense. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant due to this manager. read more

Picked up Friday's dinner for the family- Fabulous service and food! We are neighbors and frequent this establishment... the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. Only wish we could dine in and enjoy the hospitality. We continue to try to support our local favorites and others as we can. Really impressed! It started off great when we asked the waiter if they could turn the AC temp up (cause it was a little chilly) and without hesitation he had the air adjusted. Then, I had an amazing "clean" dinner that included hummus, veggies, and a meat of choice. I liked being able to choose what I wanted with their Trio Plate option. Very nice! read more

Went here for brunch around 1pm yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the interior as the exterior looks kinda "meh." Well there was a guy playing the piano and nice high ceilings with kind of a mediterranean decor/colors. My bf got the eggs benedict and I got the breakfast tacos with angus beef. All of it was really good! The tacos were pretty greasy though and my fingers were shiny with oil as I ate them...maybe all the fat from the beef... Dunno exactly. They provide a side of potatoes, grits, or fruit with these so we both got fruit. They also have complimentary sourdough bread and butter/jam which was great! Also got an order of pancakes (which is a small-sized 3-stack) which was yummy with syrup! The patrons here are a little older and snooty though so that kinda killed it for me, as it always does (whomp whomp), hence the 4 rather than 5 stars. It's in the Energy Corridor close to BP, maybe that's why. Either way, that's not the restaurant's fault. They also have a couple of tv's at the bar by the entrance if you wanna watch the game. We have been meaning to try the restaurant, but HRW was just the push we need to drive from SugarLand. We were rewarded with a wonderful meal of Beef Wellington and seared Diver Scallops with risotto. Our starters of gazpacho with seafood and a refreshing salad of mango and watermelon were delish. To cap everything off was a dessert of chocolate and fruity macarons which was just perfect. We added some great wine and it made a great evening. Very nice, but a little overrated, and definitely overpriced. The service was good, and the food was... meeeeeeehhhh. It was decent enough food, but there was definitely not enough of it. I mean $17 for moussaka and a teeny weeny Greek salad (where was the CHEESE?)? Moussaka is one of my favorite dishes, that can only be find in a few restaurants-- not even all the Greek restaurants carry it. Theirs was crap. Sorry. A sliver of eggplant, a dab of bechamel, and a LOT of lamb. My boyfriend, however, had the lamb shank, and man, was that good. Really. One of my go to restaurants when taking clients to lunch. The salads, the salmon and lobster bisque are fabulous. The bread and olive oil is tasty. Service is great. Very quaint decor, clean restrooms. Please note it's in a small strip mall but they offer free valet, so bring cash for tip. read more

This is my new favorite place for Westside Weekend Brunch. Great service and the food is consistent and reasonably priced. They make the best Migas (picture eggs with pick up stick like tortilla strips and a fabulous Ancho Chile sauce. It comes with fried potatoes but try the grits too. Their waffles are al acarte and perfect. Whether you sit inside or out the view is good. Can't wait to come back on a Monday or Wednesday for their recession buster menu and wine prices. read more

Took my 14 year-old son here about 8:30 pm after I gave a speech nearby. We both thought the food was great and a wonderful value. He had a big bowl of gumbo that was spectacular -- let my try a spoonful and I wanted to eat the rest of the bowl. I used a Bloomspot coupon for a three course dinner for two. First time here. The dinner was absolutely delicious!! My date once lived in the area and frequented this restaurant. They remembered him and welcomed him back warmly. So the visit was extra tended to. Nonetheless, the food was wonderful as was the wine. Cafe Benedicte is the perfect place to take your grandparents for brunch. The menu is unique and approachable, with lots of crowd-pleasing selections. The bloody marys are on point too! There is typically a live pianist playing mellow tunes to add to the bright & sunny atmosphere. The service is impeccable too. I recommend making a reservation for brunch because you could end up with a decent wait time, but if you do there's always room at the bar to sip on a mimosa while waiting. read more

Only an "ok" experience for us. Starting with the food, then atmosphere and finishing up with service... We tried the Lobster Bisque (good), Grilled Salmon (good), Capallini al Fruitti di Mare (good), Chicken Fettucini Alfedo (chicken was really over done), and the North African Cous Cous (something was "off" with the sausage). Our friends who took us here swear by the breakfast, so I think that if we come back it will not be for dinner but rather for breakfast. The ambiance was nice with the restaurant full for the standard dining hours. The clientele was older, at least on the night we went. We remarked that we didn't see any young families. Dress code isn't completely casual, but it isn't too formal either. Corporate casual would be fine. The service was pretty bad however. Dinners were brought out at different times, water was scarce and we had to bus our own table as empty drink glasses, unused bread dishes, an empty bread platter, a plate for dipping oil for the bread, and empty dinner plates consumed our small table. We didn't have enough room for coffee and a dessert, of which no one asked us if we wanted either 30 mins after we had the plates removed. After waiting so long, we asked one of the owners to bring us a dessert menu but I think that some of us were done waiting so we flagged someone else down for a check and decided to call it a night. read more
