I made the reservation for my work group online right from my Yelp app. A great start already because I hate calling and making reservations. It's in memorial so the scene is quiet and refined, as opposed to loud and rowdy. There was a piano player while we were there, adding to ambiance. They put our group the private room. Great for us to have rowdy conversations. The service was prompt and friendly. We sampled a variety of appetizers. I especially liked the smoked salmon quesadillas. Yes, it seems off on a Mediterranean restaurant menu, but it was really good. I also had the lentil soup. It tasted just like the lentil soup at Corner Bakery Cafe. For the entree most of my coworkers had some type of fish, and they all enjoyed it. One coworker ordered a burger which she found tasty but difficult to eat. I had the tabbouleh. It was lighter on green bits than I'm used to, but it was really good. The portion was HUGE so I brought home enough for a side dish the next night. Dessert was the real high point. I had the creme brulee crepe. Take a crepe, fill it with creme burlee custard, top crepe with sugar, douse with grand marnier, and light it on fire. YUM! Yum! Came here with some friends for Sunday brunch and was very happy with the service and meal. I got the Huevos Benedictos, which is like an eggs benedict with a twist. So glad I got it, and if I had more room in my stomach, might have even ordered myself a second plate of it! Eggs were cooked perfectly with baby spinach and chorizo in Ancho sauce (kind of like a smoky chipotle sauce). Came for brunch on a fall Saturday with 5 other girl friends, and we were promptly seated in a private room. Our waitress was outstanding! Sweet, attentive, chatty - but not overly so. The service at Cafe Benedict was the most impressive to me: personal but efficient. As for the brunch fare, it was enjoyable if not wow-factor food. Portions did not leave me paralyzed with overindulgence, nor wanting for anything. The best part was the complementary warm, fresh bread with a duo of jams and butter! I've been here twice and I rarely venture OTL (borrowed from Atlanta's OTP). Anyway, I digress... I also tried this place because of a restaurant.com certificate. I had recently come back from a Greece trip and was craving Mediterranean. I was not disappointed! First thing first - The food was amazing, and when you get the half portion (which is really reasonably priced and a lot of food) you get a full sized salad anyway. I tried the beef tartare served inside a stack of friend onion rings (YUM), the shrimp and scallop angel hair pasta (very tasty - lots of real tomatoes in the sauce, not too saucy) and the baklava. Secondly - The people there were SO very nice. We mentioned that we came from town and it took longer than we thought, so we got there about 30 minutes before they were going to close. That didn't phase them at all, and they proceeded to suggest dessert and after-dinner wines. The manager and owner also came by to make sure everything was ok and to welcome us from the other side of town. :) After that wonderfully nice experience, I decided to have my birthday dinner here. It's like the noise circulates and we were sat TABLE FOR 2 right in the middle. :) The menu had a good variety, I saw a handful of things I wanted to try. Since it was lunch I settled on the Sliders: 1 Shrimp Salad, 1 Chicken Salad, 1 Angus Burger. The Shrimp & Chicken Salad sliders both had good flavor and just enough spice - however it was like WHERE is the MEAT? Not enough at all. The angus burger was good - had avocado on it :) The best part of the sliders - the bun!! YUMM! I ordered a side of house salad ... swimming in oil. blah. Ryan got the Blackened Prime Rib PoBoy. He was not impressed. It was overcooked and literally a slab of meat on a bun - not sliced or anything. Such a cute little place! My friend and I were looking for a quick lunch place after our session at the spa one day and found this place! The food is good and the service is very friendly. As appetizers, we had the Mussels in white wine, Hummus w/ Pita and the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. The mussels were too filing as an appetizer but it tasted great. I would highly recommend the Paella, Chicken Marsala, or the Lasagna as main dishes! They are all cooked to perfection. First time trying Cafe Benedicte for brunch today. I'm huge on brunch, and kind of picky about it as well. Everything my husband and I ordered was absolutely delicious! We started with the hummus with EVOO, which, while a bit salty on its own, was perfect on a pita with chopped tomatoes, cucumber, and spring onions. Next came our main course--the husband ordered the Tempura Salmon Benedicte, and I the Chicken Stuffed Crepes. Hands down some of the best brunch dishes we've ever had, and for a good price! The service was also impeccable, with our waitress checking on us in just the right intervals and our water refilled in a timely manner. I'm so glad my mother in law recommended this place, and we'll definitely be back! read more

Service was attentive but overworked. We had a large party of twelve and. wide range f ages. Some entries were delivered so late I wasn't sure if the order was even placed. If they were placed, a team of waiters would hv ensured everything was delivered hot. We had to send someone in to remind the that an order was missing. I have seen some restaurants serve party this large with a team of up to six waiters and great flourish. The one waiter we had seemed harried. This establishment needs to raise its game on service. I enjoyed the live guitar for background music. this was. refreshing change from the standard piped-in top-forty that most establishments use. Parking was convenient, but some slots my require 4WD. A popular place, used mostly by locals and some professionals on business lunches. Food nd atmosphere good, but service of large groups needs some tuning. read more

This is a great place for lunch and dinner. Its located in the Energy Corridor and is often frequented by people that work in the area, myself included. Its a very authentic Medeterranian style restaurant. I would recommend the chicken marsala they have here. I am a big fan of chicken marsala and almost order it everytime a restaurant has such an offering and this version passes the mustard. The seafood paella is not my favorite, but as far as seafood paella's go, this is better than most. Their gyro's and lamb hummus are my favorite items on the menu. It's just off Memorial at Highway 6. The dinning room view is that of a building construction site within a stone's throw of the Energy Corridor. The clientele was older, and a few families with kids. The food was good, and almost came too fast. I was ready to settle into a relaxing time chatting and sipping my drink when breakfast arrived. Maybe I'm used to more trendy spots just taking forever to bring out your food. All in all, it's a place to take your parents or grandparents for a nice meal. The atmosphere was perfect for me- I went alone to read/write and the place was pretty empty and consequently quiet. The constant coffee refills were much appreciated. Overall the menu is unique and there were many items I would try if I found myself in the area again. Minus 1 star for location (in a strip mall). From the pictures on yelp, it looks like you will be overlooking a park/wooded area. This is not the case. Though the patio was lovely, your really overlooking an empty lot with some grass/trees/geese, but then there's a fence and some machinery too. While complimentary valet parking is available, there are plenty of self-park spaces in the strip center, especially at dinnertime, when the other stores are closed. Prices are fair, given the quality of the product and the ambiance. My personal favorites are the paella and the pork chop. There are special dinners during the week, and you'll always get a heads-up e-mail to whet your appetite. If you're looking to dine out with a group, look no further. Our party of 16 was seated in the Wine Room ... and once again, the owner was there to answer any questions about the menu, and to assure that the food and service were first-rate. Omg!! People get their food to go!! The "family pack" is amazing we had it the other night. So much food fed all 4 of us and had leftovers!! Also got the party pack that includes a bottle of wine last night. Thanks TABC for allowing the restaurants to deliver alcohol with food. We need to keep this up after we get back to normal. The party pack had a pizza that was fabulous, empanadas, wings, and a salad plus a bottle of wine for $50!! Come on people call and order they will deliver if your close or pick up at the restaurant. They had prime rib last night Saturday and we missed it because it sold out!! It was $25 and included a side. It doesn't get much better than this. Go see them you will not be disappointed!! The lamb in it really made it. I didn't exactly understand the theme they had for the menu. It seemed to be all over the place, mediterranean, Italian, cajan. It was like they could make up their mind. I got the chicken Marsala. It was pretty darn good. The staff was very friendly and it really seemed like a mom and pop kinda place. I love this west side restaurant. The staff makes you feel so comfortable and are so friendly. You will find some unique menu items as well as traditional ones like paella. I highly recommend the Red Fish Pontchartrain, the Buffalo burger and also the Bread Pudding. Fantastic! The décor relocates you to the Amalfi Coast and is beautifully done including tablecloths to make it special but not too fussy. Café Benedict has two private room areas to accommodate functions, and they also provide catering. Everyone should try this restaurant.
