Some guy trying to enjoy his breakfast

As one reviewer pointed out, if you have time to sit down and eat, this is as good a place as any here in Sacramento Airport. It's located near Gate 11. I stood in line for only a short time, although there always seems to be a line of people waiting to eat. I ordered an iced tea and the waitress brought it promptly with sweeteners. I settled on the $18 chopped salad, that is served with grilled chicken and assorted greens. It was tasty and more than enough for one person. Some people might not like the little chunky bits of bacon, but I think they add bursts of flavor. My waitress was Kristina. She was very good, very busy but attentive. As a former waiter, I always find pleasure in watching good servers at work. Seating is varied, with some seating at the bar, on a cushy padded bench, and on short tables and chairs. Word of caution: Breakfast ends at 10:30. It says it on the menu, but some people don't read.

Cafe Bernardo is finally opened inside Terminal B on the Alaska Airline side next to the Wendy's. They have a dining area for those who have time and would like to be served and not grab and go. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes $12.99 only comes with 3 pancakes nothing else side are sold individually. I got my food to go. I could feel thought contained my food was cooked fresh and the container was pipping hot. Here is where I got annoyed. 1 out of the 3 pancakes was burnt and of course they were slick and placed in on the bottom of the other pancakes. That was foul. So I was only able to enjoy 2 of my pancakes. The service was nothing special as they have a self serve kiosk for those who what to order to go or you can order with the cashier. I will give them a solid 3 stars as they just opened and I hope the get better with time.

Express Cafe Bernardo. Breakfast burrito is $16.99

*** Vegetarian Review *** Starbucks is under construction and totally disappeared. So getting the usual Impossible Breakfast Sandwich isn't an option right now. But Cafe Bernardo was a great substitute teacher. Probably $11 more than the Starbucks option, but if you're looking for a hot, quick vegetarian meal to go, I recommend this place. For the locals that frequent the many Cafe Bs in town, this breakfast burrito isn't like the one served in the restaurant. You can pick this one up and the potatoes are inside. Breakfast Burrito ($16.99, Grade A) - Scrambled eggs, black beans, Monterey jack cheese, and crispy potatoes. Make sure to ask for the chipotle salsa and sour cream on the side or this can get really messy. They cut it in half so easily shareable. My only issue is if the menu says "crispy potatoes," I should hear those potatoes crunch. These aren't crispy. They are better than their normal herbed potatoes, but they aren't crispy at all. With all that said, as long as my cheaper Starbucks option isn't here, this breakfast burrito is a great alternative.

Service was great. The food was so good! I love the Thai chicken noodle salad. The drinks are really good too. Nice location in the airport if you have time before your flight.

Every time I come to thjz place the service by Brittanay is absolutely horrible. She must be racist? I even confirmed this when I tried again when I was not alone. Even her colleague at the host stand was confused/appalled by her behavior. I will not be coming here- airport or not- ever again. The first time I thought maybe she was having a bad day. But after today- it was blatant. She ruins the vibe.

Good drinks before our flight, but the breakup heart break Indy Debbi downer music doesn't fit the idea of excitement before a vacation trip. Asked the manager and he told me it was a corporate decision. Oh well, I tried.

Choose from 1 of their many signature Sub sandwiches or be bold and create your own! I like being able to call out what I need and watching my sandwich get built up only to come to its sweet, sweet short end. 1 of my go-to's when I am not feeling bold is the "Listen Linda." I think this falls under a simple sammy and delivers on what you'd imagine as a classic. Turkey Breast, Bacon, Swiss, Avocado + "The works" (no onion for me!). I usually get this on a sweet roll but sometimes live a little wild and get it with Dutch Crunch. I find their produce to be fresh and flavorful. Their bread is so soft and is always the perfect addition to my stomach. After you enjoy your sandwich, don't forget that fresh baked cookie they add to the bag! All their locations have the same ambiance. Classic sandwich spot smell, extra goodies like chips, drinks and sweets. Get you wich fix satisfied with Mr. Pickles!

Everything from the sandwiches to the pasta comes in huge portions and tastes amazing. Their happy hour is honestly one of the best around -- great quality beers with plenty to choose from, and they even serve them in ice-cold mugs, which makes such a difference. They also have plenty to choose from, plus solid non-alcoholic options at really good prices. They're doing $3 mimosas for Mother's Day Sunday (hopefully that becomes permanent because that's a steal). Happy hour runs from 3-7 every day except Sunday. One of my favorite parts is the atmosphere. The shaded patio makes it comfortable even during the heat, and the whole place has this cozy backyard vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The owners are super personable and actually take time to connect with their customers, which makes the experience feel welcoming and genuine. Definitely worth checking out if you want great food, good drinks, and a laid-back spot with people who genuinely care.

One of them was Sidewalk Juice, so my daughter and I jumped in line thinking we'd grab a quick breakfast. We got in line around 4:10 am and there were easily about 20 people ahead of us, so we figured it must be worth the wait. After standing there for a while and finally getting up to the register, we were told they weren't making anything from the menu yet. No smoothies, no sandwiches, nothing hot. Just grab-and-go and coffee until 4:30 am. The timing just didn't work. We had to start boarding right around then, so waiting wasn't an option. I ended up grabbing a wrap and my daughter got a parfait, but I had been eyeing one of the breakfast sandwiches the whole time we were in line. I did mention to them it would really help to have a sign posted before people get in line. That early in the morning, no one wants to stand there only to find out most of the menu isn't available. Helpful tip: If you're there before 4:30 am, it's grab-and-go only. Don't expect smoothies or hot food yet. It wasn't a terrible experience, just one of those moments where a little communication would have made a big difference.
