We came here on June 7th at around 11:20 a.m. we decided to check this place out to have a light second breakfast after finishing at the Farmers Market. We ended up purchasing one of the empanadas, a concha, Selena's bom bom, como la flor, and I believe the last one was the Coco loco mocha (the last drink was a chocolate mocha for sure that had a little bit of spice in it so I believe it was this one) I will say that the service was quite awesome. We had three individuals behind the cash register already in willing to help us. We told them that it was our first time and they explained the menu to us and gave some recommendations on what were some of the top favorites. The drinks were made quite quickly and I appreciated that the empanada took a little bit longer to come out which means that it was heated up when ordered. The space itself is quite lovely. As I mentioned in the pictures that I posted it does have a mural inside of different artists within music and television which is well done and brought back a lot of memories for all of us. Also the outside space, especially on a beautiful day like it was on June 7th, was perfect. The breeze that blows through that area just made it really wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the coffees we bought and the different pastries. Now the one thing to call out is for us the drinks were a little bit too sweet. I will say out of all three of them the Como La Flor definitely had the least amount of sweetness and was the one that was enjoyed the most by all of us cuz we shared our drinks to take taste them. So if you are someone that does enjoy a more sweeter coffee highly rate recommend those drinks. If you are not someone that enjoys a sweet coffees definitely talk to the individuals behind the bar regarding maybe reducing the sugar or syrups used or maybe just getting them to suggest something that is a little bit less again heavy on the sweetness. I tried this cafe while doing a coffee crawl and I'm so glad it was on the crawl. This cafe is so adorable and cozy in a shady quiet neighborhood. The inside has seating and when I went people were working on their laptops. They have a cute covered outdoor patio perfect for enjoying their drinks and food. I got the Agua de Jamaica Lemonade mix and it was so delicious and perfect for a summer day. The workers were nice, it was easy to find parking, and they also were selling artwork inside. Bueno cafe is such a colorful and vibrant cafe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly. It's like being at your Auntie's house, feels very family oriented. They have a case of really yummy pastries. The ham role was flavorful and toasty. The breakfast sandwich gives some options. I only wish the English muffin had been toasted a bit more and the cheese was a little more melty but it still did the job. We sampled the red velvet mocha, a must try especially if you like your coffee sweet. We also enjoyed the Carmelo latte. This has become a regular stop for us. It's a great place for a quick stop in for take out, or to sit down for a meeting or to hang out with friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the whole building is open, bright and welcoming. The team here is friendly and they have a good variety of drinks and food available. Was looking for a new breakfast spot when my bf spotted this on his map. First impression- cute little cafe with plenty of outside seating in the shade the girl at the counter was super nice and helped us decide what to get. We each got an americano (hot and iced), tried the chorizo and ham/cheese/jalapeño breads. Americanos were decent- the 24oz one was comically big. I really want to try their specialty lattes. The buns were SO GOOD. They warm them up for you and are the appropriate size for a good breakfast. I couldn't decide which one I liked better but be warned that the ones with jalapeño are actually spicy. The chorizo one has eggs and cheese. Both of the breads were so soft and delicious. The best sandwich- got it in a bolillo with pepper jack. First bite was a flavor explosion. So good! The peppers and onions were fresh and although the bolillo could've used a little more toasting, still had a slight crunch. My bf wished it would've been slightly bigger especially for the price. First, parking was pretty good although we were here on MLK Day. Both drinks were good and there's also a deli with sandwiches. Good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside. Went on a coffee walking tour hosted by Weekday Social Club and this was one of the shops we visited. This was one of my top favorites on the tour. The owner was personable, knowledgeable, and the coffee was really flavorful, including the eggnog that he added to the coffee. The atmosphere is pretty and laid-back and right within the neighborhood so really appealing also, I want to give a shout out to Carlos who was there with great stories and a cool personality. My husband and I walk by Bueno cafe often on our morning power walks and after months of temptation, we finally stopped mid walk to try it out. The atmosphere is vibrant with a down to earth artsy vibe. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors. These breakfast sandwiches were doggone tasty! You choose your meat, cheese and sauce. (Pesto, Chipotle or Garlic aioli) Mine was delish with pepper jack cheese bacon and chipotle sauce. Husband loves a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and asked for the pepper jack cheese with garlic aioli. They were each unique and equally delicious. The price was very reasonable coming in about 3 bucks lower than most coffee shops nearby. We tried out their Mexican Mocha and a black coffee both very good -with a Mexican pastry that tasted like a yummy scone. Overall, I can say with confidence that we will return. Bueno is great!! I've enjoyed the coffee bevs, pan dulces, breakfast sandwiches, friendly service, and really cute space both indoors and outdoors. I love the neighborhood Bueno is in, right by Southside Park, with older houses versus new developments. I've noticed that they're occasionally flexible with hours, like open a bit earlier or later than posted hours, which is really nice. It feels very neighborhoody. Came here on a weekday afternoon and would definitely come back! First impression was nice location, lots of street parking on all surrounding streets and beautiful mature trees all around outside. There's some outdoor seating and the cafe is bigger than it looks from the outside. When you walk in, it's colorful and has a real community feel. There's lots of local business advertisements and business cards on a table right when you walk in and on the other side is the pan dulce display case and barista bar. There's quite a few small tables inside and it appeared that a couple people were working on their laptops. I had their empanada de piña and a mango lemonade which were both really good! The mango lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet. The empanada was really good and hit the spot. My husband had one of their specialty coffees made iced and he said it was really good too. This delightful little place is located on the ground floor of a house near my hotel. The coffee was delicious, the service attentive and polite, the whole place was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. The second day I went the owner was having coffee in front with a friend. The local dogs knew him personally and he brought them a treat. It was very clear the dogs also give 5 stars. This is clearly a beloved local business. You know school's out when the first staff member that sees you is on her phone and instead of greeting you she gives you a glance and continues phone scrolling. Not the warmest first impression of a cafe but service was slightly redeemed by the polite gentleman at the cashier who handed me my online takeout order. Pretty okay regular mocha here. Not the smoothest that I've tried in Sac as the brew had a little bit of a burnt aftertaste, but it's kinda lessened by the delicious dark chocolate syrup hiding most of it. Decently strong. The apple empanada (thought I could choose empanada type upon arrival based on the online menu description but type was randomly chosen) had a hearty chew with a tasty filling. I quite enjoyed this one. No skimping on the crispy topping on the concha, which I liked, but the bread itself was dry. Chorizo bun was served cold (like, solidified-cheese cold). After warming it at home for 15 seconds in the microwave the bun became amazingly soft but the chorizo filling had a strange spongy texture to it. Perhaps would recommend trying the other bun options here. I visited on weekday afternoon and finding street parking wasn't too difficult. read more
