This is my favorite solid place for banh mi so far. The picture I added is a grilled pork banh mi with an egg added, but the egg was cooked at home to save about three dollars. I think it's entirely worth it; it levels up the banh mi as a lunch sandwich so well and makes it extra filling. Regarding the flavor of the banh mi itself, I think it is a great place. The bread is not too crunchy, so if you prefer that, you may have to go somewhere else. They really fill up these sandwiches with a lot of vegetables and meat, which I like a lot. It's not skimped at all, and adding the egg from home just makes it a bit more filling and tasty. the vibe this place gives off is an in-and-out type of area. You order upfront at the cash register, pay right away, get your food, and then eat at a table. It is nothing too fancy, but it is a nice spot to stop for a quick lunch. The inside is very spacious with many four-seater tables that could be moved together for a large party. They also have a very small grocery market inside that sells sauces, snacks, ramen, and Vietnamese ingredients. Don't expect too much, as it is more of a side feature. I did try their pho before and it was okay; I would rate it around a 3.5 out of 5. There could be other places that are better, but as of now, this place is solid. I give five stars for their banh mi because I keep coming back for them. Additionally, the customer service is top-notch. It's been 3 years since I wrote my review of this place. My husband and I came by here this past week to get some boba and a snack. We specifically ordered the Panda Milk tea: a combo of black and jasmine green milk tea. However, half way through my drink, I felt a straw-like follicular-type of hair or some type of cleaning brush, which I am not sure of what it was (pls. see pic). I told the cashier and she just said she can make us a new one. They do not do refunds here and declined to give me a refund for the shall I describe, disgusting piece in the drink. It's very sad because I really liked this place. We also ordered the tofu spring rolls and thankfully that was good; we actually ate this first and found the object later as we were half way through our drink. The pho was excellent. The bahn mi was a little dry and not well balanced. Didn't seem to have enough meat, although everything was well seasoned. The quick and courteous counter ordering was easy. There's also a little international market with fantastic finds!! Very large open area. But it seems like it can't decide what it is. There were several people there enjoying pho and there was loud Asian language music playing. Disappointing that their to go for soup doesn't seal. I opened a bag of broth when I got home. Saigon Corner is a regular stop for me when I'm craving Vietnamese. The parking lot is easy to navigate and I always find a parking spot with no issues. Inside they have plenty of tables for dining in and you order at the counter before sitting. They have a wide variety of options including spring rolls, banh mi, pho, and other dishes like popcorn chicken, fries, potstickers, and plate meals. There's also a shop that has snacks and ingredients and I love browsing while waiting for my order to be ready. I typically order take out and my go to are the grilled pork spring rolls, the combination pho, and their Saigon Special Banh mi. I also love their drinks, they have a lot of flavors and I tend to order the Thai tea or Vietnamese coffee. They pack to-go orders with care and my pho broth is always sealed shut to avoid spillage. My review is based off of a takeout order. I've been craving pho, and havent found a spot yet in sac. After checking out a few spots, landed on saigon corner. Online ordering: they have a grubhub option and an option to order directly on their website. I tried first using grub hub but for some reason it couldn't complete the order. Thankfully their ordering option on their website worked just fine! Food: I got their chicken pho and Vietnamese coffee. Honestly i havent had a Vietnamese coffee i didn't love...and saigon corners didn't disappoint! Their chicken pho was fire, and the broth was flavorful. My only feedback is their takeout container being big enough that I can mix everything together without having to use my own bowl. This will for sure be my go to spot for pho! read more

When we walked in the restaurant smelled really good. There is a small dry grocery section and I ended up buying some bamboo in chili oil. The lady at the cash register greeted us with a smile and asked how our day was going. She was very sweet. We ordered Bahn mi sandwiches and they have a good variety of options. I noticed that adding pate is only 50 cents which is super reasonable in today's society pricing. The bathroom was really clean and have a funny sign in it about keeping the toilet clean. Our food was completed really quickly, maybe 5 min, and there were a few people of head of us. The sandwiches were very refreshing, the pate was flavorful, and the bread was toasty and very delicious. They have a really good menu full of variety, I noticed another couple eating pho and stew. I come here for the Chicken Pho! The flavor of the broth is one of my favorites in Sacramento! Reasonably priced for a filling portion. They only have 1 size but it's enough to get you full. Sometimes I just want a GOOD bowl of protein and noodles....and this place checked the boxes for both the Hubs and I! Their charbroil pork and vermicelli was flavorful and delicious. Hubs got the Korean short rib, rice, topped with an over easy egg. Some Vietnamese restaurants give you more noodles/rice ratio than meat, however, this place is pretty generous and doesn't skimp on the meat! I do want to try their Banh Mi sandwiches and Pho next. Staff was friendly and accommodating, restaurant was clean and they have a little store to buy Asian snacks and groceries which i though was pretty cool. Went to check this place out based on the yelp reviews and it was a disappointment.... Walked in and was quickly greeted by the employee at the register. Ordering here is more like a fast food takeout rather than a sit down....you have to order your food first from their menu, pay and then they will bring out your food.... Ordered the M2 Beef Combination and that soup had an odd flavor. I'm no pho expert but their broth literally tasted like the canned powder you can buy inside of their store!! Had a semi bland flavor and the water had a very strong tap water taste! The few pieces of meat that comes included did not make it taste any better. The fatty brisket had a soapy taste to it which was not the greatest. One of my biggest issues was the broth was not HOT at all but instead warm!!! This was a let down! Apart from the pho, I also ordered the chicken wings and the calamari....chicken wings were crispy and cooked perfectly.....the calamari on the other hand was super rubbery and tough...I'll pass on this one next time. We both ordered the Saigon special which is the banh mi with all the cold cut meats. You also have pickled daikon and carrots, cucumber slices, cilantro, and I believe jalapeño as well as it did taste a bit spicy. The bread is well toasted but a bit harder than I would like. They also put pate and bo (Vietnamese butter/mayo) but it was not enough for you to taste it so we wished it would have a bit more of both in it. The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong but a bit too sweet for our liking. I've been eating here at least once a week because it's near my work place. My favorite is their shrimp spring rolls. I did try the one with shrimp and pork but the pork was on the dry side so I will stick to the shrimp one. I love their banh bị sandwiches too. It's very filling.
