And the brown sugar latte? Always. It's smooth, comforting, and sweet without tasting like someone poured syrup into a cup and called it coffee. The space has the easy, unhurried feeling of a neighborhood coffee shop, but the menu is giving a real brunch experience. I ordered a vegan pizza with some toppings but wanted pepperoni and that wasn't an option. I made a note asking if a substitution was possible, knowing it likely wasn't because of a price difference. I'm not vegan, but I needed a dairy-free alternative since I am breastfeeding a baby with a cow milk protein intolerance. The LOADED up my pizza. Truly stand-up humans. They were out of a certain coffee, so they offered another which is fine, and when our food came around 1:50, one of the plates had to be sent back because a steak that had been ordered medium rare came to the table well done/overdone. Eventually there was a second person working, but when the steak was sent back, they did not understand why it was being sent back, and thought we were just done with the plate. By the end of the meal, the total was $99 and change, which was confusing to us as with the three meals (priced at $16, $16, and $26), and a cold coffee (which could not have been more than $10), if you included tax, it should have been no more than $80. We did not ask for a receipt because by this point in time (around 2:20), we just wanted to get out of there as the restaurant had been meant for a quick meal before a member of our party had to leave. Management needs to revisit many aspects of this space.
