Family hanging out and having some good drins.
    Will E.

We were looking for a place not to far from our hotel to have a couple drinks before we met up friends and we found this place. The inside looked really nice with some nice pictures on the wall and lots of space for seating. They also have a downstairs that has a bar and plenty of seating. We just ordered a few Aperol Spritz and chilled at the bar. The drinks tasted really good. Hard to mess that up but you never know. They had music playing from something in the background which was really good. The bartenders were alway asking if we needed anything so that was good. We didn't order any food but the plates that we saw looked really good. Definitely a place you need to check out if your looking for a cool spot to drink and get some bites to eat. They also have a good happy hour and from the looks of it a nice brunch with bottomless mimosas. Have to come check out this place if your in town or live near the area.

My objective was to find a bar for happy hour in Midtown East. In my rarely treading over to the east side these days and wanting to avoid Grand Central I searched a little through google maps what was nearby Murray Bro Hill/Kips Bay area and this spot popped up and I remembered wanting to check out their brunch but never did. It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.

I went to Tara Rose for a GNO, and my experience was just okay! The service was fantastic, truly, and the ambiance was gorg. The decor and the space were both so lovely. The drink menu sounded amazing, we didn't have a chance to try them out, but will definitely be back for trivia! The food was a pretty big let down. We ordered the brussels and ended up having to send them back because they tasted bad, almost BBQ-y. Our replacement app, the toasted bread with ricotta and fig jam, was also just okay. The bread was pretty burnt at the bottom. I ordered the caesar salad and while it wasn't bad, it was very simple and felt like a salad kit from the grocery store. Come for the drinks and vibes, maybe not as much for the food!

Nice happy hour deals, not a place to reconnect w friends since the music gets pretty loud. Other than that, the food was actually pretty yummy. The ricotta bread was actually my fave.

Went here for brunch with some friends. We did bottomless brunch so well were limited to our table for 90 minutes. We did have to leave after 90 minutes but were told we could just move to the bar and continue our conversations. I ordered the shakshuka without any chorizo or feta add-ons, but it was so good! Highly recommend trying it and also just stopping by if you're looking for a decent brunch place with good food.

I stopped by Tara Rose in Kips Bay after work on a business trip to NYC. My partner came with me on this trip, but she'd already had dinner with a friend, but she joined me anyway. We sat at the bar and the bartender (an Irish native) was friendly, chatted with us and offered suggestions. She recommended Irish whiskies of course, on big rocks -- a great start. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich (skipped most of the bun).and it was very good: crisp, well-seasoned, satisfying without being heavy. The bar area felt comfortable and spacious, and the menu offers elevated bar fare plus creative cocktails -- a nice blend. Service was solid and friendly. A very pleasant after-work stop. I'd give them a very solid 4 stars.

Happy hour deal was a pretty good. And it's a bit further than the main midtown area so it wasn't too crowded. The curry fries were my favorite thing. The savory martini didn't have much flavor but I did like the potato chips. Service was very good.

We sat outside on a warm day. There were about 8 tables outside on this day. The food was yummy and service was good.

I saw they host trivia night every Tuesday at 7PM, so I booked a table for my friends and I. We had such a blast! The atmosphere was fun and lively, and even though we didn't win, it was still a great time. Happy hour was good so get there early, it ends at 7PM --the cocktails on the HH menu were pretty solid. As for the food... meh! $20 for two small bites/appetizers. We tried the short rib taco, which was dry and topped with a thick slice of avocado. The crispy rice with smoked salmon was a miss. It's not what you expect... SKIP IT! The Greek fries and buffalos wings were probably the best thing we had. I'd definitely come back for the drinks and trivia night, but I'd skip the food next time.

Came here for happy hour the other night with a few friends and loved it! Oddly enough, despite working in the area this was my first time here. The service was great and the food was too! We tried a smattering of things from the happy hour menu as well as some of the main dishes. I would definitely recommend the smoked salmon and rice cake appetizer as well as the chicken tenders, hummus, and fig+ricotta toast. A note, they can make many things gluten free! Also tried the spicy penne vodka and it was great (and actually pretty spicy)! The menu for the main eats is pretty large so I'll definitely be back here. For drinks, they have great cocktails as well as mocktails. Excellent ambience, if not a little loud. Bonus points for the 2010s bangers that came on after happy hour ended! Great for a casual hang!

I came here with friends to have a nice brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. They have bottomless brunch which is affordable for this area. The food was delicious and the drinks kept on flowing. They also gave us complimentary shots which was very nice of them. The music and decorations are also very nice and put you in the holiday spirit. Would definitely recommended if you're in the area and looking for a nice cozy spot.

We ordered fish and chips and tara rose burger. The fish and chips came with fries on the side and mashed peas which were surprisingly better than they looked. The burger was good and juicy and fresh with herbs. Staff is very sweet and are always checking in on you. Got a great vibe to it and the music is good too.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
