    Brunch Burger
    Nicole D.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday to watch some football and enjoy bottomless brunch. The atmosphere was very nice. It wasn't very loud, so it allowed us to enjoy the games and our conversations. The food was delicious! I got the brunch burger and loved it! As far as the drinks, I have pretty mixed feelings. They were very strong, but not the best mimosas/bellinis I've had taste wise. However, the service was great! They never let our glasses get empty. It's worth checking out if you're in the area looking for a nice brunch spot with friends.

This is great everything bar...drinks after work? Brunch on the weekend? Casual dinner with friends? You name it this place will work Pro tip! Great mocktails! They know how to do all of the flavor without the liquor

Ducked in for a quick and casual dinner before heading off to a Pride party. The pub -- lit low as evidenced in my hard-to-see photos -- attracts twenty-somethings, most of whom appear to be recent graduates. In time for happy hour there are discounted drinks and a couple of special concoctions in recognition of the month. (Uh -- see my photo.) We started with fried cauliflower, one of several appetizers offered on the menu. Really good! Though my burger was a far cry from medium rare, I enjoyed it for one main reason: it was chargrilled. Steak sandwich also recommended, dinner salad not so much. There's outside seating on Third Avenue, at the bar and in the back. While most seats appear to be backless stools, if you're lucky you can snag something more comfortable on the side, in the back room.

I absolutely love it here!!! Quintessential nyc bar and in such a good location. They do happy hour everyday 4-8 pm with $9 cocktails, $6 beer, 3 app tower for $45, etc. suchhhh a good deal for nyc. The vibe here is awesome - it's good for date night, GNO, sports, or just catching up with friends - literally whatever works. Perfect lighting and there's TVs if that's your vibe. They also do a free shot if you post a story tagging them! Love fun promos like that. Will stay coming here whenever I am in the city.

The flying cock has bottomless drinks for an added $27 and a menu full of options. I tried the Turkish Eggs, Chilaquiles, breakfast burger, breakfast burrito, and bananas foster French toast. My favorites were the Turkish eggs which were perfectly cooked over easy on a savory herbed yogurt, the French toast which had the perfect consistency and caramel used banana flavor, and the breakfast burger which was topped with an egg; the meat was juicy and the egg added another layer of flavor. Service was also great, it was busy but our server was attentive and the food came out quick. I do wish they had more booths than just high chairs but the vibe was great.

Reserved here for a birthday of 10 people on Resy. Space was a bit tight but it was doable. A couple of us did the bottomless brunch for an additional $27. Drinks were a bit watered down and they did not leave a pitcher for us at the table. Waiters were hard to flag down but they did let us take 2 drinks at a time. I ordered the avocado toast with egg - pricey for brunch but the avocado toast was nothing to write home about (4/5). Friends also got eggs Benedict (they said 4/5) and also the kale salad which were just kale noodles. Good for a big party but not sure if I would come here to dine with a smaller group.

So we've been here a few times bc I keep reading my precious review and hoping it will be just as good as we remember, but it's a fail, unfortunately. We tried the hamburger( best item we got) watermelon salad (about 4 small pieces of watermelon) steak frites (some weird sauce on it which killed it, not to mention it wasn't prepared as requested), fried chicken sandwich which is supposedly what they are supposed to make amazingly, was sub par! The fries, which after about 3 minutes tasted frozen or old--or frozen and old? I really like the vibe here but the food is less than desirable! Sad to update this review this way!

The food was great, we went to The Flying Cock as a college basketball game was going on and the restaurant was full but we were literally able to sit down in 5 minutes. The ambiance was a vibe, fun "college bar vibe" on Saturday 5pm. Was very please and I would definitely recommend the place. The bartender was so kind he took our order and drinks immediately, we were served pretty fast. Thank to bartender JASON!

Came here for bunch with a group of friends. This is one of those place I've walked by many times and it was always bumping. All of the tables were high tables with high chairs, but we were able to request one that was normal table and chair, but was tucked in the back corner. Fine by me as I hated sitting in high chairs. I got the Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes ($17), which was the first item under their specials section. Pretty solid choice and they give you 4 stacks. I did find myself needing a lot of maple syrup, otherwise it just tastes like dough. A also got a Cold Brew Coffee ($6), which is great by itself. Overall, it was a good time. My friends enjoyed their food a lot. They seemed like better choices than mine and they looked delicious.

    summer happy hour spritz flight
    Carly L.

I had a great time here for dinner with friends! It was easy to get a reservation for a large group, but I definitely recommend reserving because they were pretty busy when we came on a Wednesday. The spritz flight ($24) for their summer happy hour is a great deal, 3 full-sized drinks! They also have rotating daily drink specials like martinis, picklebacks, etc. We had oysters and the bar tower. I loved the fish tacos (perfectly crispy!), but the cauliflower and fries were average. Our server was sweet and everything came out quickly. It's somewhat loud, but I didn't have a problem hearing everyone at my table.

    Brunch Nachos

I came here on a Saturday for brunch and the place was packed and it had a nice vibe going. My friends and I went with the bottomless brunch which was $27 when you buy a brunch entree. What I love was that the bottomless not only included mimosas but Aperol spritz which I'm a huge fan of. The spritz were very tasty yet strong enough. As far as my entree I went with the brunch nachos with buffalo chicken. The nachos were delicious and a very generous portion for one. I really enjoyed our brunch and will definitely be coming back.

    Chilaquiles
    Taylor K.

Decent brunch. I had the chilaquiles which was a special item and the cold brew was pretty good. My sister got the kale bowl and she didn't like it at all - it was honestly just like 4 cups of kale with 2 eggs. She had it swapped out for avocado toast which was also not good. Not sure if we'd return in the future but they do have a good bottomless drink deal if you're interested in that. The service was very nice and fast!

Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. FRIED CHICKEN & JOHNNY CAKES - 18 I wanted a mix of sweet and savory, so this option seemed like a good one. Each order came with two strips of fried chicken tenders placed on top of two large cornmeal pancakes, each bigger than my face. The fried chicken was heavily-breaded (perhaps a bit too much), with white chicken meat underneath that varied between juicy and dry The pancakes themselves were pretty forgettable, and I wasn't a big fan of the lemon ricotta or chili-spiced syrup on the side. Most of our group found their entrees pretty underwhelming. Additionally, service was really slow, and the kitchen forgot an order. Personally, I wouldn't return, especially with so many other great options within two minutes walk away. Edit: Owner pointed out that their chicken is not breaded. What I meant is that the chicken is heavily-battered. Sorry!
