Very good food. The chicken kabobs are very lean but not dry at all. I usually get the plate with rice, humus, pita, grilled tomato and pepper. Not again. Came here with my employer after he wanted to try Armenian food. I recommended this place. Had to wait 35 minutes and then waiter comes and tells us sorry they gave you wrong table number. The chicken breast kabob, beef lule kabob, and beef kabob were all mediocre. Nothing memorable. The "shirazi" salad was disappointing (it was more like a regular salad than shirazi; the veggies were not cut into small pieces, like they usually are in salad shirazi). This place looks like a total dive, inside and out -- it's a claustrophobic narrow space with barely enough room for counter, customers in line, and a few table. But it looks like they are moving into a much spiffier space next door (or just expanding and keeping both?) within a week or two. This place is PACKED at lunch, for good reason. Very cheap, yummy kebaby things. It's not much different from every other hole-in-the-wall kebab joint around Glendale -- this is a neighborhood where people know their lule kebab from their dolmas -- but the food is fresh and tasty. Nicely renovated spot - clean and well-kept. The interior looks like it could be a Baja Fresh, and yet still feels authentic and local. The cashier staff is expedient, friendly and helpful. This helps balance some shortcomings in kitchen management... nearly every time I've visited, they have been out of whatever my first choice was. Waits are also a little long for a work lunch. I used to frequent to this restaurant. even when they were still on the little shack next door. They have always served great and affordable kebabs. Since they moved over to this new place, my experience here has been inconsistent: 1. On a normal, quiet day, your wait order time vary between 1 - 30 minutes. 2. On a busy day, expect more than an hour. 3. They tend to lose orders, that the people who ordered after you get theirs first. You can tell from the cooks that they lost your order receipts. 4. Messed up their orders. I have all the four above happened to me multiple times that I have had enough. First time it happened, I cut them some slack. Then it happened, and again, and again, then they forgot my order even when there were only a dozen customer there. Will not come to this place again. read more

This place is great! Let's first start with the Food. The beef koobideh is juicy not dry, and it's cooked right on the spot or within at least 10 minutes. The Hummus no doubt is the best - No joke. Trust, and I've had hummus from the Bay to LA. Also, the chicken thigh Kabob is good as well. For the price you pay and the quality of food- including the freshness. Went here on a whim as we wanted to have Middle Eastern food for dinner as we were in the area. So glad we did! The place is clean and decor modern. No smell of lingering smoked/grilled food which is a pleasant surprise. We went for the chicken platter and Mahi Mahi platter. So good! Salad is fresh and the dressing tart and made from scratch. Fish was moist and seasoned right. Chicken was cooked perfect and not dry - seasoned well too! Hummus flavoured with a hint of curry powder (we think) and it gave it that edgy but nice taste to it! Spinach and yoghurt side dish was so creamy! Not too fussed on the stuffed grape leaves (you can tell it came from a can/tin). Extremely reasonable prices! We have friends nearby and have given them the heads up to venture and try it next time! Definitely will be back! read more

I absolutely love the food at Cafe Bravo. It was a favorite of mine when I lived in the area, and now it's a must-have whenever I'm back in town (often multiple times per trip back). The portions are large enough that I generally can't finish the whole plate (which comes with a hefty pile of rice, a toasted pita and 2 side orders), and the meat is always perfectly tender and juicy. I'm very disappointed with these a-holes. Got here at 8:38 PM The cashier gal actually said "hurry up and order we are closing the register in five minutes." I ordered a Gyro. She said "we shut the Gyro machine down at 8 PM to clean it." I said "why would you do that, it's on your menu and you're not closed yet?" Cafe Bravo is unpretentious and oh so addictive. The ikra (eggplant caviar) will roll over your tongue teasingly as it mixes with the rice and the chicken. The hummus is beige velvet, mixing with the pita, and the roasted tomato and jalapeno pepper to create this taste, that days later, you'll find your mind wandering to. What makes Cafe Bravo different is the number of sides they offer. They have tons of sides. I would recommend the yogurt dip, eggplant "salsa" or hummus. The garlic sauce is good, but I think they charge extra. The chicken, beef and lamb plates are all very delicious. And definitely one of the best in the area (which is saying a lot). There are two draw backs: Parking is usually a problem and the spots are very narrow, so if you have a nice car you risk the chance of someone dinging or scratching your car. Second, for the plates, I think they charge a buck or two more than it should be. read more
