The restaurant was half full, because most people were in the tasting room, at the other end of the resort, where the 2026 FIFA was on the monitor. The restaurant had a large outdoor patio with cool misters but it was too hot to dine outdoors. Inside the restaurant was large and many booth seating which we preferred. The walls of shelves showcased many awards and bottles of the wines produced by South Coast Vineyard. From the menu we ordered the prime rib along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Syrah both rated 90 points from wine reviews. After tasting the wines, there was no doubt the wines were very good. The prime ribs were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus tasted surprisingly very flavorful and delicious. Usually a pescatarian dish, but I was really excited to taste their red wines which paired well with the hearty prime rib, and the pairing was palate perfect. Service from the staff, especially the server and the head chef was great. The head chef used work for Lisa Vanderpump and resided in Beverly Hills, so we had that connection and we chatted. This bistro is located at Miramonte Winery. It sits on top of a hill. The food is great and one item really stands out and that's the stuffed mushrooms that are delivered to your table straight out of the oven still bubbly and extra cheesy. They're stuffed with goat cheese, garlic, Brussels sprouts, and topped with Asiago and mozzarella for an almost crispy crust and then drizzled with some sweet balsamic glaze. Heaven in your mouth. I'll keep coming back as long as nobody fucks with the mushroom recipe or decides to take them off the menu.

Beautiful scenery, tasty food, too expensive for what you're getting…read more This is really all there was to this lunch spot, as it was incredibly expensive when looking through the order, and although the scenery was very nice and I did understand it was a Wine + Lunch spot, I still found it to be very unfairly priced, especially with the service. The wait times depending on the item can range from 20 minutes to an hour (posted on a sign outside of the restaurant was a wait time of 40 minutes, although ours came in about 25). The servers were very neutral, feeling a bit like they were rushing you to order and not incredibly friendly, which was disappointing. Then came the food and drinks. We ordered the Garlic Cheese Flatbread, Eggplant Parmigiana Shoots, the Spicy Meatball Pizza, a tap beer, and a Sangria. This came out to a little over $100 total. There was little to say about the shoots, which tasted good, but more in the way that fast food tastes good, as they were a bit over fried and lacked much flavor on their own without the accompanying sauces. The Garlic Cheese Flatbread and Spicy Meatball Pizza were both very tasty, but unfortunately the experience was stained by the high prices which made it more difficult to enjoy them for what they were. The Sangria was not very good, though that may be a matter of personal taste, and the beer was one I knew I liked so it, of course, was what I expected. I did not have a bad time here, and wouldn't say it is not worth going to, but for my taste and the overall experience I had, I would likely not return again. However, I do want to end on a positive note, which was that if you do go, the pizzas are incredibly fresh and delicious, and although a bit oily, are definitely worth ordering, but I would skip the appetizers entirely.
