There's a bunch of outdoor seating (which is kind of shaded, but was still sooo hot in July), a really cool tap room upstairs, and one of the best brewery merch stores I've seen on the ground floor. We visited on 4th of July weekend, so the minimal parking next the brewery was totally full. Luckily, there's an overflow lot with a shuttle van about 5 minutes down the road. It was pretty tricky to find however, so be sure to ask the staff in the on-site parking lot for specific directions if you need to get there. They serve all the same great beer you expect from Tree House, plus they have a nice little cocktail bar outside, so there's something for everyone. I really liked the Cape Hound and the Rum Punch. They also have great pizzas and lobster rolls, which are a bit pricey but worth the splurge in my opinion. You can also pick up cans to go here, and because Tree House doesn't distribute otherwise, that's a huge win for any locals in the area. Great spot to visit on your trip to Cape Cod. We'll be back!

The food is great. The location is cute. I have had a house in dennis since 1990. My friend grew up there. We walked into this cafe. He has long hair and a beard. I have an eyebrow ring. These people totally stopped and stared. The manager questioned us on where we were from. He gave me my pastry upside down. The guy serving us is named TOBIN. He also doesn't put the plate down, he drops it in front of me. They "forgot" my espresso until we were about to leave, at which point TOBIN hand delivers it with attitude. I understand that we weren't wearing flip flops and tourist gear, this man straight didn't believe I'M FROM THE CAPE. It's 2021. I have never been profiled and treated so poorly at a cafe in my life. I don't want to even imagine how this yuppy, prejudice place would treat people of ethnicity. TOBIN announced my friend's name on his credit card super loud. clearly believing it wasn't his. The whole time we were eating, they stared at us. . If you don't wear vinyard vines and flip flops, don't go here. If you have piercings, tattoos, or don't look like a "cape codian" don't go here. If you care about being respected and not judged- don't go here. We said please and thank you. We smiled. We were polite. Tobin seems to think it's his place to make people feel less than and unwanted. I would never go here again, even though the food is OKAY. I installed Yelp today solely so I could finally post a review after 5 separate visits to Cafe Chew over the past couple of years. Disclaimer: I dine out almost exclusively daily without discord. Not so with Cafe Chew. Here, there is a top-down personality disorder that appears to infect cross- counter interactions with customers. In short, its creepy. The weird oppresive atmosphere is buttressed by a bad location overlooking its parking lot, and then the post office parling lot beyond and the grocery complex parking lot beside. If you love to be insulted and condescended to, and you're into snark from café order takers/cashiers, Cafe Chew is your place. The menu seems tempting...the baked goods tantalizing but once you approach the counter to place your order it all falls apart. It's a Bummer. The counter staff are strongly reminiscent of the "Soup Nazi". The hefty post-menopausal queen de cuisine is rude and miserable and her style trickles down to her hired counter minions. Placing your order is an exercise in culinary masochism. Small hand written calligraphy signs warn all that a solo diner may not seat themselves at a "4 top" table. Even when the restaurant is barren. If a happy unpretentious dining experience is a must, you'd be better off at a truck-stop diner, not this overpriced beanery. read more

This is my favorite place to go when we're on our way home from Cape Cod! Food is fresh and natural, coffee is excellent. You can eat inside or out (we always choose inside, because muggy mornings are a no-go). It's decorated nicely, with a bunch of eclectic pieces. Though I'm sure there are a ton of tourists who come in here, it doesn't feel that way because you see a decent amount of people who clearly live in the area sitting down and working on computers and such. Gives it a neighborhood-eatery vibe. Love it here, love coming every year. read more

I ordered four "sangwiches"--pork and rabe, chicken cutlet and rabe, and Italian hoagies--and every single one was outstanding. In fact, Nana's immediately became one of my "must-stop" places every time I came to the Cape. Sadly, that was not my recent experience. Before writing this review, I tried contacting Nana's twice through their website and also reached out through Facebook and Instagram. After waiting two weeks without a single response, I'm reluctantly posting this instead. On my latest visit, I stopped in between breakfast and lunch, figuring I'd picked the perfect time. There were only three customers in the restaurant. I stood at the sandwich counter for nearly 20 minutes while the sandwich crew and what appeared to be a manager carried on a conversation. I was standing directly in front of them, yet no one acknowledged me. Just as I was about to walk out, their meeting ended and someone finally took my order. I was disappointed to hear there was no pork and rabe available, so I ordered a chicken cutlet and rabe sandwich along with Italian hoagies. I specifically discussed the long hot peppers with the cashier because they were one of the things I loved most about my previous visit. I didn't mind waiting because I could see the cutlets being fried fresh and the broccoli rabe being heated. Fresh food done right is worth waiting for. Unfortunately, the sandwiches were nothing like I remembered. The chicken cutlet was perfectly fried, but everything else fell flat. The broccoli rabe was long, stringy, and difficult to chew. After one bite, the entire pile of rabe pulled out of the sandwich in one piece. That also let me taste it by itself--and it tasted like...water. No garlic. No olive oil. None of the slight bitterness that good broccoli rabe should have. Just bland. The bread was another huge disappointment. Instead of the crusty Italian bread I remembered, it was served on a soft, doughy roll that completely changed the sandwich. And despite specifically requesting the long hot peppers, there weren't any. No peppers. No seasoning. Just a fried cutlet and flavorless greens on dry bread. It was a waste of what could have been an excellent sandwich. Then came the Italian hoagie. It was honestly one of the most disappointing Italian sandwiches I've ever had. Again, it came on the same soft hoagie roll. There was a light smear of dressing, the cold cuts, and two paper-thin slices of tomato. No lettuce. No onions. No hot peppers. Barely any dressing. Nothing that makes an authentic Italian hoagie memorable. I honestly think I've had better Italian sandwiches from Subway. I kept hoping this was simply the result of summer help, inexperienced staff, or just an off day. But after making multiple attempts to contact management and never receiving a response, I'm left wondering if Nana's has changed owners, if quality standards have slipped, or if customer feedback simply isn't important anymore. It's genuinely disappointing because I know how good Nana's used to be. That's what makes this review so difficult to write. You earned a loyal customer once. If you ever return to making the sandwiches you were serving in 2025--with authentic bread, properly seasoned ingredients, careful attention to orders, and the quality that first impressed me--I'd gladly come back. Until then, I can't honestly recommend Nana's as an authentic Italian-American sandwich shop. Right now, it feels more like an average American sandwich shop charging premium prices. Thank you for the wonderful sandwiches you once made. I sincerely hope you find your way back to them.
