Best place in town for a bagel & lox sandwich! Coffee is pretty exceptional as well. I love coming in whenever I am in town.

Wandered around Wenatchee trying to find something local and fresh. I walked into the public market building and was so happy to see a baker kneading dough. The deli case was filled with excellent baked goods and a cook on the other side of the space cracking fresh eggs. I had a chai latte and blueberry oat bar. The blueberries and crumble topping on this were delicious. The space is small but the food and location are wonderful. Early in the morning is a great time to be there. Located inside the Pybus market. Came here twice. Once on a Friday afternoon to get some desserts (carrot cake and berry oat bar) and once on Saturday morning for breakfast (biscuits and gravy and breakfast wrap). They serve Blue Star coffee and have a full range of espresso beverages. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were a little hard but the sausage gravy was really good. The wrap was okay but nothing amazing. Oat bar was the best of any of the items we got. Probably would go somewhere else for breakfast. read more

When in Wenatchee, go to Pybus Market. It may seem a little like Wenatchee's own version (a whole lot smaller) of Pike Street Market in Seattle. I found Cafe Columbia inside Pybus Market, and it offered a happy hour price, yes, on coffee! That was enough for me to give it a try late in the afternoon right before closing. The espresso flavor is very smooth and the vanilla syrup didn't overpower the flavor of the coffee in my latte. Thumbs up on the drink. The environment wasn't really conducive to relaxing with a lot of people, including a large group of teenagers, milling around the inside of the Market. Good for people who want a lot of action or stimulation from their surroundings and a solid cup of joe. We had time for a quick vanilla latte right before the café closed. As a result we were in happy hour pricing time so it was 20% off. That was a great deal. The coffee flavor was very smooth and the vanilla did not overpower the bean flavor. This cafe can be found in the Pybus Market. They also have a good selection of different foods that are aimed at the lunchtime crowd. I was on my own for lunch so i went to the Pybus Public Market and looked at the choices and Cafe Columbia looked good. I ordered a latte and a tuna melt and sat outside. Soon my latte arrived and it was very smooth and good. My sandwich was good, but now I know that I am not a big fan of Lemon Dill with tuna. My fault. They took my order right away and told me that although no seating was allowed inside, they did have covered and heated seating on their back patio. They were attentive and made sure I was comfortable even though I was the only one there. I dinged them one star for not having the croissant breakfast sandwich which I was hoping for. They did give it to me in a ciabatta roll which was also great and their coffee was excellent. Customer service was excellent. I wish I could ding them less than one star for not having supplies needed to deliver their menu but unfortunately the rating system doesn't allow for it. read more

Went to Pybus Market for first time to have coffee and breakfast at the Pybus Bistro, but they aren't open until 11:30. Alas, Cafe Columbia is next door and wife and I will go there instead. Oh, they have lox special... perfect, I'm thinking. "Sorry, kitchen doesn't open until 9:00". "Alright, we'll have coffee and (microwave) quiche... free refills on the coffee I ask?" "Yes", is her response. Coffee served in paper cups even though we're eating there seemed strange enough, but when wife gets me a refill, no problem; when I get a refill on the way out, I get attitude. "There is only one free refill!" yells the first waitress as a second waitress/cook hands me the coffee. I am taken aback by the response, not only that she tracks the first refill to me by the fact that she apparently watched my wife put cream in the coffee before she brings it back to the table, but by the fact that ms. coffee cop isn't tracking two coffees two refills. After I say "keep it then" second waitress/cook says "let's just let is go this time". I am tempted to say to coffee cop "why don't you just use this in your next coffee enema?", but I just take the coffee and walk off. Oh, one star for food and one star for coffee. -3 stars for attitude. Now after this long drawn out story about the anal retentive coffee cop, do you think I will EVER be back? Coffee: 5/5 great coffee!!! Ordered the Breve and it was just right. Bold and flavorful. If we were here just for coffee I would have given it a 5. Cuban sandwich: 3/5 needed flavor. The coffee is legit! As good as it gets here in the valley. They have some solid food options too. The outdoor seating is wonderful, sunlight in the morning, nice shade towards the evening. Whenever I'm visiting from Bellingham and need good coffee I either come here or Cafe Mela. If I am wanting to go to a place to get some work done Cafe Mela is my favorite, if I am wanting to meet with someone and chat, this is the place I prefer. Only thing is I REALLY wish they opened before 8:00am, but it may not be an option for them with where they're located. If they did, I would have been here even more. read more

I visit Wenatchee on business regularly and stay at the hotel next to Pybus. There's not many other options and so I visit Cafe Columbia. Gotta say, it's not satisfying at all. Rude workers and my food (egg) was raw and they were not nice about fixing it. The croissant was more like a dinner roll and the coffee was sub standard. I wish there were more options. To grab a coffee and pastry with a friend here is so convenient when using the Apple Loop Trail or when introducing someone to the iconic Pybus market. The organic coffee is high quality, but it may take longer than usual to get your drink (my scone was already eaten). They have stevia and honey in addition to sugar and sweetners. All pastry and savory strata seems fresh and made on premise. Daily variety makes it fun to return. If you arrive after 9 am there is a yummy breakfast menu also with wraps,etc. Lunch includes deli style sandwiches, soup choice of the day and irresistable lemon bars or individual rustic pie. Seasonal iced teas are expensive $5, but good quality. read more

I have been here on various occasions for coffee and tea, and as coffee and tea goes it's a-ok. The dudes and dudettes behind the counter give pretty spiffy service and that's great, but the reason I give it 4 stars is their phenomenal pecan bar. They are absurdly addictive. So much so that my entire office has closed up and taken group breaks on more than one occasion just to trek down to Pybus to buy these pecan bars. The crust is a thick shortbread crust that is both sweet and salty, topped with ooey-gooey yum and whole pecans (non of that chopped pecan nonsense here). The end result is something pecan bar dreams are made of (if you've never dreamt of pecan bars your dreams are seriously lacking). Come here for coffee, return always for the pecan bars. read more

Sitting here drinking their medium roast, I'm afraid I'm quite disappointed. While the pastries look tasty and the setting is quite nice, I have to look to the basics while reviewing a cafe. The coffee is not flavorful and tastes closer to what I would expect in a home drip machine than a purchased cup. Definitely the best coffee place in Pybus, and one of the best on the Wenatchee side. This is my family's usual sunday morning stop before church, we almost always swing past for a coffee and a plate of their biscuits and sausage gravy. They brew and sell Blue Star coffee (from Pateros, WA) which is always good stuff, and they have a nice case of pastries as well. The owner is often on site and working the counter, and the crew is really friendly and helpful. It's my seven-year-old daughter's favourite place to stop for a drink (a white chocolate peppermint steamer) and the Pybus environment is very congenial, especially on the weekends when the farmer's market is going on! read more
